Glad I stumbled across this video. It brought back memories of my '70 GS 455 Stage 2. Wish I still had her, she was my baby for years, dang wife & kids. 😒
A girlfriend of mine used to tote me around in her parents Sun Coupe, yellow in color with a white a top and white interior. I had never seen or heard of one of these until I met her. That car was a blast!
John was one of the first people to help me out when I got into these cars. Glad to see his old car is in good hands with you and Mike. Looking forward to seeing more!
Cool car, I remember the Sun Coupe option when they were new. I may have seen one in the wild, but certainly no more than that. Cool to have it on this GS Stage 1.
Its so nice to see someone have info on these. I have a partially wrecked one with a gutted interior and a 350. Its a process but thank you for sharing. Was that the original color and very rare for sure with that 455
This car was originally white with black top. But this blue color is a stock 72 color. The Stage1 Suncoupe is exceptionally rare, with only 6 or 7 built.
It was good to see this car again. I would like to come see it in person at the show if I can. If you or Michael want to know more of it’s history, let me know.
In my previous life as an irrigator, I installed a system at a new firehouse locally...and they gave out those shirts to the contractors on the job. On the front, it says "We built this"

Didn't know this existed, just need to bring the compression up on this 8.5 to 1 engine and a new cam on this.
Adam: I don't know how you can chase perfection like this. You are a better man than me. Mitch
Generally, most of this is easy to overlook, but the shows we prep these cars for demand perfection....or as close as you can get.
Kool Buick. Great to see a TH-cam channel on Buicks. I am now subscribed.
Thanks!

Same here...John was always jumping to help out.
Nice to see it has the under-hood insulation deletes where they are supposed to be deleted. Too many people use the full set on a GS, Water traps.
It's great to see cars like this being preserved. So many details involved in doing it right. Nice job.
Thank you!

You have amazing knowledge and skill sir.
Thank you!
Great car. Hope you can do more classic car vids!
Thanks! That's the plan.

Great content thanks. Looking forward to seeing the progress
I liked this so much I had to watch it again!! Will be waiting for updates!
Did you mean to wear the fire dept shirt?

I always use the STD hole...
You might want to get checked out.
Is that a 4v or 4g vin code car?
It's a GS, so 4G....the 5th digit is a V for Stage1.
all those little details that nobody cares about
I could say the same about other things I'm not passionate about, but that's not the point. People care....just not everyone.
