I see everyone do this but they don't show you what they are doing I can't see the wiring from over here in the video get a close up so we can see what's going on
Thanks for the video man...I just ordered the exact same headlights, HID kit and fog lights for my 99. I cant wait til they get here. The factory headlights are so dingy and crappy that I have went through 3 lens repair kits, none of which worked. Thanks again man.
@huertasalvador you can install the halo light assembly with or without an HID kit, the HID is jsut a bulb more or less, the halos and LEDs on the housing are wired in to the vehicles harness fro the head lights, regardless of what type of bulb that harness is running too
@jttlr101 i got them off ebay along with the headlights, the overland model also came with the rectangle/oval fog lights, changing them requires the removal of the entire front fascia if you dont have a lift available to you, takes no more then 20 minutes to remove the whole front end of the truck, i have videos on how to do it yourself on my channel, if you have a lift, you can remove the wheel well liners and remove the fog lights that way from behind
@E5Ridez Thanks for the reply. Another question for you, Will the longer HID bulbs fit in the after market projector housings, because I've read online that people have had problems with fitting them, and in some cases they can melt the projector. What is your take?
@shnto7 hey, the wiring isnt complicated. There's wires that come off the headlights from various things (halo, led's, ect...) you simply splice those into which ever connectors you want those to run with. In this video everything is wired to the daytime running lights and the headlights. Splice the wires or use connectors and it should be easy :D
hey nice lights i have the exsact headlights and fogs. my problem is my halos on my fogs went out and i seem to have lost the wires and the little bulb that light up the halo is there anuthing u recomend todo? cuz i really miss my halos on my fog lighs it matches with my headlight halos and it isnt the same. well hope u can help thanks
Thanks for showing the whole car, mine is green but I got crash on the side and the doors and the pillar and bent inside on the driver side, thinking about changing color when it gets fixed, and was thinking grey with black details, you just gave me some ideas.
@akeysandjg its pretty hard to screw up actually, if you have a decent comprehension of electrical wires like, red positive, black negative, then its fairly fool proof, just splice the positive and negative wires for the halos and leds into your factory headlight wiring harness and thats quite literally that
just got the same pair of head lights yesterday, and couldnt figure out how to bridge the halos and leds to make them light up. what did you wire the leds and halo wires too??
Nice Mod on your Jeep! I have a 02 WJ too. I want to install a similar halo headlights like yours. Can you tell me who the seller is on ebay you got your from? I want the white halo light instead of the blueish color too. Also, with these aftermarket headlights. Can you still adjust the light beam (i.e. so its not too high or too low)?
Those headlights look sick I got halos on my cavalier but don't got the leds on the side working having a hard time tryna connect them to the switch with the halos
how well do the aftermarket headlights work for you right now? do they fog up? are the halos still working? im wondering all this because im thinking about buying after market headlights with halos for my IS300
nice ride looks exactly like mine with the black projector lights. also have tinted led taillights to match. the look of grand cherokees this model is by far the best. btw if you add hids a vid would be appreciated!
how did you install your front grill i have the same one but cant figure out how to mount it. im about to sent it back! the bottom screw holes dont line up anywhere haha the two top ones do i need help.
I think it would look better with the grill matching, or same color, as the rest of the Jeep. Go to a paint store and they can match it using your VIN and mix it into a spray can.
Just finished installing my LED Halos on my 2001 WJ. Thanks a lot for the tutorial, you saved me from what could have been a real headache lol The only thing that I have to do now is find some LEDs for the running lights and turn signal. Right now I'm still using the halogens from the stock lights. Any suggestions?
hey man, you know your "hood Actuators" or whatever yo called the, my trunk ones need to replaced. how much do they cost? and can you replace them by hand
hey bud, i was wondering if you could make a specific video on how to install the halo fog lights, i bought them but i cant figure out how to put them on, i installed the halo headlights on my jeep myself ty
Nice Jeep! I got the version of these headlights for my 99 Durango, but with black backing instead of chrome. Not sure if I want to paint my rims black or a rally inspired white.
yoo man..I got a 1996 jaguar Vanden plas...is the halo lights possible on any headlights??..my headlights are 4 individual headlamps..and do i need to connect it to my battery because its in the trunk!..please write back.
aren't Load ohm Relays also Needed when you install extra Lights mainly LED'S or some sort of Resistor or transformer ? I know when I added just two 24 mini LED Turn Signals my outside turn signals stopped working LED Lights seem to Require a Load Reducer of some sort wish someone would make a video explaining and showing what you need
@rjrod27 theres no reason for them to be illegal, at least not that im aware of, iv never had a problem and iv had lights like these for well over 2 years now
I have a WJ as well. I just received projector housings for mine. What do you recommend for the best white lighting...LED or HID? If HID, what wattage ballast and bulb? Looking at the Kelvin chart, I think 4300K - 5000K is best and whitest.
can someone explain to me the wiring for the LED part? i understand everything expect how to wire the LED lights (the ones alone the side...3 next to turn signal) Thanks guys
+Gregnyj6 Hi I know this question is old, but I believe the only way to get the LEDs and halos to come on at the same time as the low beams is to either sacrifice the use of the high beams (which I suspect he did here) by having the high beams and LEDs come on during the high beam setting, or another way I think I saw someone do it was to sacrafice the use of the parking lights, which I think is actually illegal. At least that's how the 1st gen Dodge Durango version is. It's pretty retarded how they designed the wiring in these headlights.
I see everyone do this but they don't show you what they are doing I can't see the wiring from over here in the video get a close up so we can see what's going on
Literally

@googleguy08 thats correct, projectors are aimed down at the road, where as the factory housings just scatter light all over the place
The halo headlights look sweet on your Jeep! Nice Z06 there as well!
@E5Ridez

if you bought come heat shrink wrap and used a lighter, it should work the same way? i used to do that when wiring things up
just got the same pair of head lights yesterday, and couldnt figure out how to bridge the halos and leds to make them light up. what did you wire the leds and halo wires too??
nice done that headlights man, looks good.
Nice Mod on your Jeep! I have a 02 WJ too. I want to install a similar halo headlights like yours. Can you tell me who the seller is on ebay you got your from? I want the white halo light instead of the blueish color too.

What did you do with the factory light bulbs. Do you hide them or cut them or you also use them with the halo lights.
What website did you find these on? They look good
I installed these on my ford ranger and had the same fitting problem. Jostled a few wires and they were good to go!
the first series 6000 graphics cards, the HD 6850 and the HD 6870 are out now according to guru 3D when are you picking yours up
nice ride looks exactly like mine with the black projector lights. also have tinted led taillights to match. the look of grand cherokees this model is by far the best. btw if you add hids a vid would be appreciated!

My hat of for you sir! Great video! Is that a Z06 in the background?
I think it would look better with the grill matching, or same color, as the rest of the Jeep. Go to a paint store and they can match it using your VIN and mix it into a spray can.
@Luckyu2c i dont remeber the sellers name, but yes you can still adjust the beam,
So now with the projectors, HIDs won't be so blinding to other drivers as opposed to just stock halogen housings right?
Just finished installing my LED Halos on my 2001 WJ. do some head light kits already come with the bulbs?
i like the new videos. im a car and computer nut so your channel is perfect
hey man, you know your "hood Actuators" or whatever yo called the, my trunk ones need to replaced. how much do they cost? and can you replace them by hand
I know the video is old, but you can adjust that gap by screwing in or out those metal parts in headlight that clip in those plastic clips in car)
When it comes to heat-shrinking, I tend to use a lighter as it still has the same properties. I had got this trick off Mighty mods.
hey bud, i was wondering if you could make a specific video on how to install the halo fog lights, i bought them but i cant figure out how to put them on, i installed the halo headlights on my jeep myself
ty
Great video man. wish they made these for my xj but its completely different with the headlight setup
what was the volt meter setting that you used
@viggoM35 i agree cause i got a black 2000 grand cherokee and just got a black grill to match car and it looks sick
i was wondering, what are all of the requirements to install some halo lights?
do u need HID lights, or other things to install the Halo Lights?
I'm glade you Canadians enjoy Detroit steel.... thanks
i payed around 190 i think....bought these years ago. 265 doesn't sound that bad either, well worth it
Nice Jeep! I got the version of these headlights for my 99 Durango, but with black backing instead of chrome. Not sure if I want to paint my rims black or a rally inspired white.
can you replace the the lights on the halo ring to a ukpgraded bulb (brighter)?
yoo man..I got a 1996 jaguar Vanden plas...is the halo lights possible on any headlights??..my headlights are 4 individual headlamps..and do i need to connect it to my battery because its in the trunk!..please write back.

So exacrly which wires do u wire them to from the car? Is it inside the harness?
@rjrod27 theres no reason for them to be illegal, at least not that im aware of, iv never had a problem and iv had lights like these for well over 2 years now
How much did these run you if you dont mind me askin? the ones im lookin at are 265
Looks very nice overall ☺
What did you do with your old lights?

@J1I9M7M4Y yes it is, and thanks, im glad you enjoyed it
@zpcrowson4212 If you have tinted your tail lights, black, if not, chrome
i got the LED lights working, what wires do you hook the halos to???
where did you get your fog lights?
I have a WJ as well. I just received projector housings for mine. What do you recommend for the best white lighting...LED or HID? If HID, what wattage ballast and bulb? Looking at the Kelvin chart, I think 4300K - 5000K is best and whitest.

God, that's a sharp knife.
Don't hurt yourself.

I got these (vipmotoz) coming from ebay this week for my 2004. Can't wait!
Very good info
Thanks
can i wire it so i dont have my halos come on, just my led lights?
good job you make cars coool looking...
why didnt u use a lighter to heat shrink?
@brandonb56 Around nov 17th when the better ones come out, 6800s are mid range, it's the 6900s that I want and am buying
At the end when you show the headlights and wheels the headlight gaps look closed
If you're WJ isn't Canadian you may want to disregard everything about daytime running lights as you don't even have them.
Does anyone know what wire I need to splice from the parking light if I relay it using a ccfl inverter kit??
You sir are awesome :D
What wires do I connect my LEDs to so that they come on with my low beams and DRLs ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!!
