Example that I've included might not be exactly same as what Faouzia does.. But it gives the overall idea that she was influenced by arabic singer for her exotic vocal riffs, runs and trills. (Don't forget to like this video and drop a comment which will help us to reach to many fawns💜)
Can you please help me out to find them! Many of non-arab fawn(includeing me lol) don't have any idea abt arabic music. So I want to showcase it in my channel :)
@@fofo4287 th-cam.com/video/hDiUtbdd2sc/w-d-xo.html you can use my clip of Umm Kulthum in the end of the video, Umm Kulthum doesn't show her melismatic and crazy runs all the time, it's hard for even Arab fans to find them, it took me sometime to find this one.
@@thearabicmusicland mhh yeah... I watched her 2-3 performance but didnt find any riffs and runs specifically. So I put other arab singers instead!!😅😂💜
@@fofo4287 Yeah the reason for that is Arab singing is a lote about the Emotion and Soul in your voice than hitting the high notes, Assala as an example is a famous Arab singer who gets backclash for singing soo loud (too many high notes) ofc I love it, but many people here don't lmao, that's why it's hard to find those clips. Sorry for these long replies lol.
@@thearabicmusicland yeah (personally) Ialso think so... Singing only high notes or with toomuch riffs and runs dont make you supreme. Its all about connection... Connecting with the audience and conveying the message through music.
0:28 Did she even have a mic? If it's what she appears to be holding, the distance says it all 🤯 I'm not that familiar with that incredibly talented lady *(Umm Kulthum)* but I can already tell that she's a legendary vocalist from hearing those snippets of her voice. I hear the influence 🥰 *Faouzia's* timbre plus how she blends the Arab style with the Western style makes her really stand out ✨
I love to see how Faouzia's fans are really into great voices, like Janet or the great Mariah... 🤗🤗🤗🤗 it's like we all kind of share lots of things, besides Faouzia
@@fofo4287 they had hanging mic back then, it was quite far, doesn't mean Umm kalthoum wasn't powerful, but the audio on that mic would sound horrendous if it was close, the distance of the mic back then was necessary for the quality
I love that this video is so close to the content I provide in my channel, thank you for taking the time to introduce your viewers to the beauty of ARABIC CULTURE.
@@fofo4287 Nope 😅, im from Indonesia but i learned so much from arabic singer as same as foauzia, that improvisation from oum kalthoum 🔥no body can break it down thats how great oum kalthoum is 🔥
Moroccan /Maghrebi singing is very different from Middle Eastern singing. Has nothing to do with her origins in Morocco than the fact that Arabic / sharqi music is popular in Morocco. Do proper research
