Excellent instructions. Easily took my Miele apart to check the motor, unfortunately it was badly damaged! Sadly new motor more expensive than a new machine.
thanks, i almost broke my chassis because i didnt remove the "footpedal-buttons". but there you are, giving help from down under and show me how to open up things my countrymen engineered XD
Hey. Great video. Sucked up water in my Miele Powerline C3 complete. light briefly comes on but motor doesn't engage. hoping i can just clean circuit board or motor. Otherwise will replace motor for about £60. Any thoughts?
brilliant, so easy how could i not replace my motor now... too easy. you could just update the motor link as its broken and i would have bought the replacement motor from your preferred re-seller for your efforts. cheers
turns out in Australia - and after searching the internet, i cant buy that replacement motor from basically anywhere for less than $250-$300 including freight... so the vac is not worth repairing for that,
Could you find time to reply? Please? I got to the replacement motor on my Millais but I can’t get the fan assembly off because it just spins there must be some inside a trick to removing that assembly on the top of the motor so I can put it on the replacement motor that doesn’t have that on at the fan had been damaged
Doh. Desperate the motor I have to replace I need to unbolt the cowling and put it on the new motor. I have used a motor from another identical model, but that had a damaged fan it just spins how do I get it off the old and into the new?
I have Miele Model # S5211 and its so loud now it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off like your demo. Almost unusable, but it still works, I think the replacement motor is part # 6225230. Someone offered me a motor from C3 do you think that would fit? Or should might mine be the bearings and I cold repack them with grease? Any tips much appreciated thanks.
id gladly send you out the vacuum to have its 2 filters and bag put in. haha i just don't know how i would get money to send just the canister down there
In my S5210 I can see through the vent that there is some of the insulation sitting on top of the motor, is that normal? I notice here the insulation is only underneath the motor.

How much is it?
Hi Dax, I would love to have a crack at a Kenmore but the brand does not exist here in Australia
Thanks for the video. Protected me from breaking all the plastic clips and having to ditch it in the end anyway.👍
Awesome, between this video and another I was able to replace a motor and then recover the other motor! Thanks.

what make is that motor that popped? was it miele?

Yes I suspect it would take many dollars to send me a vacuum long distance, never mind ;(

OK
