Hi there! Great help, it works as easy as shown! But yes, as mentioned above, make sure you have a note about the position of the potentiometer on the old board ... and put the new one into the same position (not turning the power selector on the vacuum any-more in between). And !!! Check whether the cables are good in the socket/plug, because in the end that was causing the problem for me (and not the electronics) ... anyway it works now again (with the new electronics board).

Hey great video. Probably late to the party but can I retrofit a handle with remote control on this one? I have exactly the same model S5211 and I'm talking about the handle that has a battery in it and an on off button.

Thanks for the video! I am wondering if my PCB is on the way out on my Miele. It's the S5981, and when I depress the on/off switch the yellow power light lights up for a second and then slowly fades out, and the machine doesn't turn on. It has a brand new OEM on/off switch installed. There seems to be power to the board, and power to the on/off switch also (tested with multimeter).

The plastic fitting which houses the vacuum cleaner's bag 'plastic fitting' has come apart. I accidentally slotted the bag in upside down. When I pulled it back out of this fitting, the plastic housing part came off too. It has two pieces of steel wire which holds it into position when fitted, but what or where do you put these two steel wires into so I can put it all back together correctly.

can you show us how to take the handle apart and push the on/off switch back out into place on a Miele S7580?

Hehe, you forgot to set up the potenciometer on the board with the regulation wheel and the vacuum goes to the lower setting when it's set to high... that's not good enough :)

Take the motor to bits, clean everything including inside the fan/impeller turbine wheel. grease bearings. replace brushes if needed. TH-cam videos out there cover this. if still noisy afterwards, replace motor.

Costs £52, that's arisky price to pay if it's not the problem
