Thanks for the video. I had to get to the end of the power cord as my daughter's vacuum did not start any more. I suspected a broken wire at the base, which it was once I got safely into the power cord reel.Following your steps made it easy to get all pieces off and back on again.

Very usefull video to see how to disasemble the miele vacuum cleaner. I had to solder the cords cuz it was cut off but this tutorial helped with everything else

Please, could you help me to repair or restore that part in Electrolux vacuum cleaner? Could you show me in more details how is cord retraction system connected together with push button.
The cord retraction system has a roulette wheel that coils the cable. In the middle (center) of this roulette there are 3 holes with metallic parts, 2 of them in the form of copper bars. The other hole indicating the spin of the roulette.
The system also has a spiral and bar-shaped metal coil that acts as a spring, possibly for pulling the cord.

Very helpfull with dismantling Miele C3. However i am curious if a not properly cord retract is always bevond repair.
Yes it can be repaired if you understand how to get the spring properly set, but it's not intended to be a repairable part and is not especially easy to do. And if the coil spring pops undone it is a beast to get it wound back.
What is the name of the electronic unit that is inserted into the connector?
Hi Alex. I can't get into the vacuum to do the change described here. A special tool is needed to undo the screws. I've tried various sizes of hex head screwdrivers but nothing seems to fit. Can you please tell me what I need? Thanks. John

It must have been engineered to fail by the Germans. They need to sell new vacuums to stay in business...
What torx bit size screwdriver/bit do i need and are all the screws the same size. I have to buy one.

Where are the screws on a Miele Plus 251i. I can't find them for the life of me.
I've got a 256i, two screws as shown in the video and one in the back under the fiber gasket that also covers the two hidden screws that attach the control panel. It took me forever to find that little beotch. Good Luck
