    A Note on the clip showing the Valve gear i describe the eccentrics being inlet and exhaust this is wrong on a Corliss engine this would stand but in this case the Stephenson valve gear the 2 eccentrics allow for Forward and Reverse with variable cut off in between.

    I’m member of steam plough club, so have seen a lot about her.
    Hopefully one day I’ll get to look her over!

    Yes may see her one day. But I’m down in deepest cornwall.
    We been lucky having the Daniel brothers down hear, but unfortunately lost dear Charlie last year.

    This is a fascinating engine! Once you get your head around the working parts. Cos there not where they usually are.
    Was it originally built as a ploughing engine?
    Or was that an after thought!

      Aye she certainly is I've been involved with her on and off for about 5 years now and she's a fine engine to drive and steer quite doable on your own and as part of a pair it's normally me and woman called bex who run her. She was built as a ploughing engine with a single drum to the rear of the bunker paying out cable on the flywheel side this was removed at some point between it being built in 1872 and going to Australia in 1914 it came back in 1978 after being resuced by Tom varley and restored. Its quite nippy on the road easily doing 8mph and is a 8hp 6 ton engine. I have a couple of other videos on my channel giving more history and a few more clips showing her over the last 5 years.
