Thanks for your feedback - I’ve learned something new again! I was so excited about the device and somehow overlooked in the manual that it can be tuned and fine-tuned. Is the device broken, or am I just not getting the hang of it? So, this is how the Spice sounds straight out of the box when turned on 🙈☺it does sound weird, broken or noisy. I think I found the mistake. An update is coming soon!
Thanks - the first jam video was a coincidence. Cool that you like it 👍😊 I just jammed away without a plan. I’m happy for you - let me know how you like it!
That was more of a coincidence - I was so happy that it finally arrived. About 8 weeks ago, I sold my Model 15 when the news came out. I had been waiting so long for it. Ordered right away.... I really like the semi-modular series (Crave, Edge, Spice), alongside the Volcas. Thanks for your feedback! Best regards, Rodney 😎
Got mine today, absolutely brilliant machine that behringer has conjured up. I already have the Crave, Edge and the Grind. Behringer has realised what people like. The Moog for everyone, so to speak...
Yes - awesome, and even better that you already have the Grind. I sold my Minifreak. The digital module from Brains will definitely make up for selling my Minifreak. How does it sound? I still have to wait months for it... 😎 and thanks for your feedback - motivates a lot!
Moog might have an issue with you saying that Behringer conjured this up!! I’ve got a SubH and it’s a really interesting bit of kit. Might get a Spice to pair with it.
@@GoodAfternoonDave I hopefully have the chace to test the moog on day... same with playing the guiotar... I started with a cheap on back then, stuck with it, and later invested in better instruments. Getting started is what counts-the rest will follow!☺
Great to see someone taking a similar approach to a new synth as I did-this was literally me just six hours ago! 😄 My first move was setting all the knobs to their middle positions and seeing what sounds I could coax out of it. At least you found the tuning function quickly or yours was not so heavily out of tune as mine ! Mine was so wildly out of tune and off-scale at first that it was almost unplayable.
Yep - exactly! All knobs in the middle position, no handbook - and therefore no tuning. I assumed it was the same as Crave and Edge. 15 minutes warmup time 😮 So there’s more to explore and noodle around with 😉👍 By the way, your video is pretty cool!
@@AntaresWaveLab even if the the vco3340 is pretty stable in tuning it does need a proper voltage. This can either be achieved by using some electrical components or by adjusting some hidden trimpots. If the possibility to do so is provided by the manufacturer I would recommend to "fine-tune" the work done by some poor paid Chinese guys in the factory. The Poly D I own was tuned and scaled "somehow okay" but after I did the recalibration it was spot on.
@@philaesfarewell thanks for your tips and tricks ´bout tuning. Until now, the Crave runs stable. Tuning Model D is fun with the A- Signal to combine. That´s a good way...🙄👍

Should have got mine last week but it got delayed so hopefully it will arrive this weekend. Can't wait to get my hands on it and jam with my Crave, Edge, Grind. The set will be complete.
wow - thanks for your feedback - glad you have the Grind - I am still waiting for it, too... will be delivered in a couple of months 🙈😉 let me know, how they sound all together. I still have CRAVE & EDGE waiting to be patched to this machine, too. Hope you get your soon, too. Have fun! 😎

I was really excited about this little device, and after watching Behringer's announcement videos, I thought it would be pretty simple to combine the sound with the two extra sub-oscillators. That’s how this video came about. In the end, I got stuck down the rabbit hole and found the controls a bit tricky. Also, I didn’t read the manual-though there’s not much in it anyway. But I did tune the oscillators now, and it already sounds better. Since I enjoy deeper tones, I’ll probably give that a try. The sound in this video isn’t that great, though🙈🤔
@@AntaresWaveLabcan you do a video explaining the whole process on how to tune it? I have the crave and edge and still don’t know how to tune, i have not seen any youtube videos explaining the process! I’m a beginner, that would be very helpful!

Please let me know, if your sound is harsh, too? I didn’t know it needed to be tuned. It sounds better now... 🙈 enjoy your spice!
Is this first behringer analog synth whose sound does not suck???? It's not super awesome, but it's not bad at all.
It's got very dark tone and something that could be easily used with some nice fx units
