Hey - welcome to my channel - I love creating and recording my own music as a hobby musician. Enjoy my music 😎
I used to play a lot more guitar than I do now, but I've rediscovered electronic sounds. Since I work a lot on the computer for my job, I prefer to go DAWless and I enjoy creating dark or atmospheric sounds. I'm influenced by film music, Jean-Michel Jarre, The Prodigy, Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. I do love space, science fiction and sounds or soudtracks to carry away into the vast endless space. Have fun on my channel, and feel free to follow me. Thanks to everyone who shares my music and sound ideas 😎👍

Hello friends! today, I connected the nubass with the FM2, Minilouge XD and the circuit tracks for the first time...😎 Oh, that was fun... sorry for some mistakes - but it is improvised and real. Mistakes happen and I was in the flow for music...😅. I will continue with this setup, because I like to play with the XD along. I should probably use it for lead melodies? Hello friends! today, I just stepped over my little blue friend - the Volca Nubass! I’ve been playing it a lot over the past few days and experimenting with it alongside my Circuit Tracks. 😅 I really like this little synth, but I still miss my old Behringer TD-3. It had a different sound - a bit more aggressive, I think? But hey, at least I had a lot of fun with this session! I hope you enjoy m...

Hello my friends, Oover the past year, I’ve learned so much and received so much inspiration from the community-thank you all for it! I love playing my little volcas, and my Model D, the Edge, my Neutron always bring me so much joy and I keep on learning. Just testing and tweaking the SPICE - Second Try of Three

Hello everyone, here is my second try to get along with the spice 🤔😉...same configuration: I started experimenting with Osc 1 and Sub 1 vs. Osc 2 and Sub 2, where Osc 1 is linked to Seq 1 and Osc 2 to Seq 2. Seq 2 has a faster rhythm than Seq 1. So this will do for a while ...😉 enjoy! Have fun with whatever you're doing, especially making music. I hope I’ll have more time to play and experiment...

Hello everyone, I reclaimed some time for myself today and spent it diving deeper into the Spice. There's a whole lot of surprises hidden in there. Fine-tuning the oscillators and sub-oscillators can be quite tricky at times. I started experimenting with Osc 1 and Sub 1 vs. Osc 2 and Sub 2, where Osc 1 is linked to Seq 1 and Osc 2 to Seq 2. Seq 2 has a faster rhythm than Seq 1. So this will do ...

this is exactly the setup im gonna get... model d down, 2 to go...
nice! thx for your comment. Have fun building up your setup. right now I am nearly finished. The Behringer Grind is still waiting - but I am not so sure about it anymore.... most important thing is to have fun making sounds and music. Which gear do you have? 🙂
@@AntaresWaveLab I just ordered a model d last month, been interested in synthesis and a big mike dean fan, but I can't afford the moog stuff. but for ~600-700 bucks for all three of those modules seems like a steal for those sounds. I haven't bought many of their guitar pedals, but behringer's synth game is kinda crazy considering the quality. Eventually I'll own a moog sub37, but for now, these seem like the perfect entry point into synthesis.
@@u_mrmcmisdemeanor yep - same here. I like the smaller synths like volcas and the desktop series by behringer - but the sounds from the semi modular synths are awesome! try out the neutron if you have a chance. Really good machine😉 after all - have fun with the Model D - enjoy it! 🔊👍🏼
camera perspective is cool, not as cool as the trippy space/time jam. love it!
lol, you have the nubass and the fm2, i have the vbass and fm1... as usual, i feel old and out of touch. love the jam and good to see them out to play!
Haha, old gear still rocks! The VBass and FM1 are classics. Glad you enjoyed the jam! If I would make videos just to push my channel I wouldn´t use them - so at all - I love the volvas and most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the process of making music. I often play the Bass in combination with VKeys or VSample2.... have fun! 😎
So much to learn! Got mine today lol
What do you like most about the behringer Spice? It took me quite a while to get used to it? 🤔😑
It's the best way to lose a few hours, the sound, and the way you always come out with someone nice on it
awesome jam.....what do you think of the pedal? i'm looking for an fx unit.
As an old electric guitar player, I first connected my old pedals… but that was just too much cable clutter. I’m really happy with the Zoom MS-CDR. There’s a newer version, but I bought mine used after a long search and a lot of thinking. If these devices aren’t often sold second-hand, they must be good-people seem to hold on to them. The ability to chain four effects together is fantastic, and each one can be individually adjusted or turned off. And it is not tooo expensive....Oh man, there are so many possible combos… I’d buy it again. Hope this helps! I’d love to hear what you end up choosing-I’m always eager to learn! 😊
Nice!!! What the FXs in chain used on ms70cdr?
ups - I tried many combos and at least it was the standard Chorus-Delay-Reverb combination by zoom. Nothing fancy, sorry 😅
the spice must flow
Yep - with effect units, the sound layers are even more fun!
Really nice! The MS-70CDR has such a great stable of effects! Right around 02:11 made me think of the BBC Hitchiker's Guide series.🛸
That’s a great comparison - I didn’t even notice that while playing. Thanks for your feedback! - part two of the session will follow today...
Awesome job and a very nice combo! 👏✨🎶
Great piece with the SPICE man!! 🌶🚀🐀
THX - I do have to invite a rat for some strange and dirty sounds, too 🤣👍🏼probably will add some dirty EGDE sounds...
Hey, I really like this. Good luck with the further experiments. Looking forward to it.
All the Volcas are like little gems.
That's nice.
Very cool. I’m very tempted to buy all three units Crave, Edge, and Spice. I’ve been making music in the iOS iPad world, which is great but all those buttons and patch cable options look like too much fun. Thanks for sharing with us all.
Glad you like it! Since I spend most of my time working at a screen, I didn’t really enjoy making music with a DAW. The first few months were tricky, but I’ve learned a lot (cables, CV gates, syncing...) In the meantime, I’ve built a setup with three sound units and different gear. Have fun and enjoy your journey! 👍🏼
Hey thank you! Check out <Blade Runner Drone tutorial for Korg volca bass...> by Tetradio.
thanks a lot - I will check it out 👍🏼
Nice one, letting the NuBass shine!
oh man - I love these acid vibes 🤣 the Nubass is a special one 😉
Dude nice jam!
Thanks a lot for your comment - glad you like it ☺ enjoy 😎
Nice! found you by going down a rabbit hole of trying to make my own patch on the neutron and model d. what is the synth at the top?
Thanks a lot - your feedback means a lot to me! How did you sync your Neutron and Model D? The synth on top is the Model 15 - really great sounds. But I wasn’t able to sync them properly. The gate voltage of the Model 15 is negative, while the Model D and Neutron are positive, so I might need some kind of adapter to change the voltage. I’m not sure if my Korg SQ-1 will do that. Hope I got it right, but if not, let me know, folks - still learning so much…😉👍🏼”
@AntaresWaveLab to be honest I was mostly using their lfo. I did use a drone on the pro 1 and I was modulating it as well
Fun jam, crazy to think that volcas are the entry way for so many people but they can be used to make polished jams by more experienced too
Thanks for the feedback! I love these little devices because they let me achieve quick and easy results. I just wish I had more time to dive deeper into them! 😊 do you play them, too?
The thing is trash... almost completely useless. Mine makes a buzzing sound no matter what oscillators you have one on... when you play a polymeter you hear that constant buzz as loudly as the notes like a wall of noise. I'm trying to get my money back
Oh man, sounds like you got a broken one? Hope you get your money back… 👍🏼I had a similar experience with mine. In my first video about it, I thought it would be as simple and easy to get great sounds as they show in the ads. Silly me!🙈I read the manual and tuned the spice properly, which helped a lot. But even then, it’s always about hunting for the sweet spots. It does sound cool, but it’s also pretty tricky. I almost sent it back myself! But now I enjoy it more, even though matching the speed with sequencers and syncing it with the Edge is still a challenge for me. 🤯Not everything is as straightforward to use as the Volcas 😂 Thanks for stopping by my channel, and have fun making music!
@@AntaresWaveLab That's the other thing that made me furious when I got it. It literally will not sync with ANYTHING. In fact, trying to sync it actually causes the sequencer to swing in odd ways that doesn't even remain consistent... like while I'm sitting there trying to listen to what is happening I can HEAR the notes moving around on their own. So annoying, There are videos here on youtube where people seem to have the subharmonicon synced... not this thing. I JUST got the crave to KIND OF sync, but even with that one it only will sync 1/8th notes, meaning it plays the sequencer in eighth notes, so one page is one bar rather than two pages and 16 notes like you'd want... uhhhhhh WTF?????? I'm trying to get in touch with Behringer but they haven't responded to me yet.
@@RooftopKoreansMusic do you have the chance to give it back to the shop...kind of guarantee issue. It seems like your device didn't work fine. Sorry to hear that... Good luck at all👍😕
Nice spacey vibes here!
7 of NIN vibes.... oh what a "double meaning"😝
...ok - next time Model D will drone only 😝
Fantastic!
WHaT IS IT With Y.T.s ALGORITHIM .....
Sorry to hear that! I hope you were able to find what you were looking for... 😉
...any good ideas how to sync them both via patch field? I still have the feeling that my Edge is always too faaaaast😭🤔🙈
Frohes Neues!
Volcas are great not toys at all in the right hands.. My favourite one is the Drum but I regret to got rid of the Bass cause is great but I usually use the Keys instead.. Recently grabbed a Modular and love it! I think next one will be the Kick..seems interesting!
thanks- I hardly use the beats, therefore I use the sample. What´s the best for you about the modular? Do you get nice sounds out of it? 🤔
@AntaresWaveLab I love the Beats cause it was my first piece of gear ever but I use Drum and Sample a lot more for drums.. Sample is great I have 2🤣 I like Volca Modular generative capabilities the most for sure and you can reach extremely interesting sounds with it even without patching!
Beautiful!!
Nice one! Great way to close out 2024. Volca Bass is giving me Nitzer Ebb vibes in the first three minutes. Happy New Year!
same to you - have a good 2025!!!
Sweet jam to end the year man, that Volca Drum is sick! 🤘🐀
Just found you, fellow jammer! Keep grooving and happy new year to you! 👌💪🎶🎵🔊🔊🔊👾👾👾 Really neat acid basslines 🙏
Thanks for your feedback - that motivates a lot!
Frohes Neues!
Dir auch einen guten Start ins neue Jahr 😉👍
🎉 thanks for being here this past year👍☺ 🎉 Have fun making music as I do and a great 2025!🥂🧨
Still love mine. It's the three independent sequences and voices, with the wild filter, that do it for me. Speaker long dead.
My first synth. I still love it, but i let it go.
Excellent video, thanks for using the poly rhythmic element...
👍😉glad you like it - do you have a spice too?
Great video, thanks
🤩🤩👏👏❤️🔥❤️🔥
THX for your feedback 👍😊
I never really warmed up to the Volcas. I borrowed a few at some point, but they were noisy as hell and just didn’t click with me. The Volca Sample might be worth considering since I’d like a small sampler, but even there, the “must-have” urge hasn’t been strong enough yet.
Apparently running them off batteries "fixes" the noise issues.
@ thanks for the tip!
I can understand that 👍- my first experience in the music store was not overwhelming. Back then, I didn’t know what was possible and what was inside. The Volca Drum was my first one, and it has some very unique drum sounds and tones. Then came the Volca Bass as number two. Yes, they’re really small, but for me, the key points are the simple connectivity/syncing and the fact that I can easily take them along in my bag (for example, when I’m waiting for the kids at the sports center again). The sounds are sharper compared to my Model 15… but that’s a different league. The current mini-synths (JT- Series) from Behringer are too fiddly and small for me (or my big fingers 🤣)
Sweet Volca Bass jam dude!! 😎 I always meant to buy that Volca too! Haha Sounds great! 🤘🐀
thanks - you should give it a try and second hand isn´t that expensive... 🤔☺
so what was your favorite gear for 2024? 🤔😉
Thanks - nice jam!! Keep ‘em coming! Still waiting for my Spice to come in January from back order. 🙏🏻
glad you like it - have a good start for the new year - and spice it up👍😎 let me know, how you like it? would be nice 😊
@@AntaresWaveLabI will! Happy New Year!!
Loved the track, can't wait to get one in a few weeks. Just one question, how big are your hands, the viewing angle makes your hands look the size of small planets 😜
thanks - haha. yep my hands look big 🤣🙈 as my guitar teacher said years ago: "we need more bass players" 😉☺
I need to get back on the Spice. Been a little unwell so not used it much. On the mend now though so time to get back on it. Neat little jam.
same as I have here - thanks for the feedback 👍
Welcome back! This is great! What a nice device Spice is!
Thanks - I just need more time with this special machine 🤣🙈
Like it!
On my second listen through, this is a great run through of the depth these tones have. I love the range of resonance you set throughout this set.
Thanks. Yes, the range of soundlayers are huge. I should sync it with my circuit tracks or the edge ...🤔 For a nice lead sound 😊👍
