    Hey, what watch were you holding earlier?
    I'm thinking of upgrading from my Galaxy Watch 5 44mm to the Galaxy Watch 7. Everyone's been talking about how bad the battery life is. Is it really that bad? And how long does it take to charge fully? Thanks for the review!

    • @thewearableist
      @thewearableist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! In this video you might have also seen the Galaxy Watch Ultra (orange band) and the Polar Grit X2 Pro (blank chunky watch) which I used for the satellite location tracking comparison against the Galaxy Watch 7.
      Battery is probably the only thing stopping me from recommending this watch, other than that it's almost the perfect smartwatch.
      Hope it helps 😀

      Ok, we will wait for an ultra review.
      And few upadtes of galaxy watch 7 whether it helps the battery life

      It's pretty bad. I'm a fairly light user with some sensors turned off and I get maybe 1.5 days

    As someone with a heart condition, the most accurate monitor is very important and the reason why I'm looking to upgrade (have a watch 3 now). Is it worth it to get the watch 7 for the upgraded sensor or the watch 6 classic?

    • @thewearableist
      @thewearableist  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, I haven't tested the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic - but the Watch 7 has a good HR sensor accuracy. But please be mindful the ECG sensor (if you are using it for things like AFib detection) is equivalent to a single-lead ECG sensor, compared to 9-leads used in proper ECG tests.
      Hope that helps.

      I have the 7, It's disappointing that it only measures HRV and SPO2 while you're sleeping although it will measure SPO2 on demand. For heart rate it tracks pretty closely with my polar h10

    Having to charge the device every 2 days, it's not a big deal. You take the watch up in the evening while you're resting. Watching TV for a maximum of an hour or more? Watch charges up, you throw it on and there you go it's not like you need to track anything right? In particular, when you're sitting in a resting state in the evening, enjoying a book or a tv show

    • @thewearableist
      @thewearableist  หลายเดือนก่อน

      As long as you're happy to do it every 2 days that's great!

    Hey, I need one more video from you.
    Can you show me how to use this watch for general exercises like dumbbell exercises and planks, and other general belly fat exercises?
    That would be really helpful.
    Thanks for doing such a detailed review. I haven't seen anyone else do it for the Watch 7.

      Hi! Someone else asked a similar question regarding the Samsung Galaxy Ring as well.
      In general, Galaxy Watch 7 requires Android 11 and above on your phone:
      Check this sub-reddit out: www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/1e6xtj1/samsung_galaxy_watch_7_with_a_non_samsung_phone/
      It looks like someone with a OnePlus Nord 2 phone had zero issues but another with a Motorola smartphone had an absolute nightmare! It depends on which Motorola phone (and which Android version) they were using.
      Also, the ECG and blood pressure monitoring require a separate app called Samsung Health Monitor which some folk have reported won't work with non-Samsung phones: www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/1e8jc3s/is_galaxy_watch_7_compatible_with_non_samsung/
      www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-phones-are-compatible-with-the-galaxy-watch/?srsltid=AfmBOoqMT_-WN2yXX-cgw8Ue5zVU1SCdPwQ6jzt7UzFOkc7G-KS1rmcs
      Overall, if you want to use 100% of the features on this wearable, you'd need a Samsung Galaxy phone. Google have done the same thing with their Pixel Watch 3 tying down certain features to Pixel phones.
      Hope that helps 😀

      Hi! ECG on this is quite simple - you just pick the ECG app on the watch and touch the top-right button with 1 finger till the reading is done.
      You're in luck though, because I'm making a video covering ECG, Body-composition (BIA sensor), Blood-pressure monitoring and much more for the new Galaxy wearables 😀

      Hi, thanks!
      It's difficult to cram in a lot of detail in these reviews, the features list keeps increasing every year! But thanks for mentioning the Sleep Apnea detection - will help others in the comments section 😀
      The Blood Pressure Monitor is present on the Galaxy Watch 7, it can be used when you download the Samsung Health Monitor app: www.samsung.com/latin_en/support/mobile-devices/measure-your-ecg-with-the-galaxy-watch-series/

      I have the option to choose between both for around a 100 dollar price difference. Should I pick the 7 or stay with the 6?

    • @thewearableist
      @thewearableist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @hypno0784 hi! One of the viewers in this comments section had a Galaxy Watch 6 and said they're happy with the Watch 7 with 10 hrs extra battery. Also, Watch 7 has the latest Wear OS 5 - so it's up to you if you feel the latest software and tiny battery improvement is worth the extra $100. Durability specs are largely similar for both.
      If it were me, the battery life would not be the only reason to spend $100 extra as the battery on Watch 7 is not game-changing over Watch 6.
      Hope it helps 😀

    • @hypno0784
      @hypno0784 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thewearableist well basically all non-hardware based software features will roll down to the Watch 6 with the major update. So it kinda boils down to the hardware of the watch. I have the watch 4 and I am highly annoyed with how bad it stutters and decides to give up on me randomly. And the accuracy is a hit or miss. So do the new processor and health sensor fix this?

    • @thewearableist
      @thewearableist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hardware-wise the Watch 7 is similar to the Watch 6 except for 1 thing. Both have sapphire crystal glass on screen, dual band GPS antenna, IP68 water and dust resistance, 5 ATM water resistance (around 50 m water depth). The main difference (from hardware point of view) is the 3 nm process in the Watch 7 which is an upgrade over the 5 nm processor in the Watch 6 - so a bit smoother to whizz around the UI, quicker to open apps and slightly better in managing battery drain - but the 5 nm processor on the Watch 6 is still good IMO.
      The optical HR sensor is good on the Watch 7 - I haven't tested the Watch 6 so can't comment on it but the upgrade would not have been gigantic given 1 year difference.
      If you are want the best processor then Watch 7 is the one to go for but keep in mind the similarities I mentioned in hardware - still probably not worth the $100 price difference.
      Hope that helps 😉
