Yo yo is great, his music is so uplifting, so inspiring. He expresses his gentle and humble spirit when he plays his cello as well as when he tslks. I admire his adventurous spirit seeing that he spreads wide his wings to learn as much as possible the great music close to the hearts of many other people and their culture. He is just a lovable person, a musicisn par excellence and I praise and thank God for having given him his creative gift of music he lovingly shares to everyone. God bless you lavishly always Yo Yo Ma.
I know! Stephen clearly has great affection for him, and Yo-Yo's reactions to what he's saying are so genuine and gracious. They are both such great people!
A true Renaissance man, one of the few truly musical geniuses, a large, expansive, forever curious, forever creative soul, with a generous, expansive disposition and a large soul that takes in all beauty around him and magically transforms it to amazing, unbelievable beauty
Amazing tribute... but the musical tribute they did for Yo Yo is not on this clip... it was one of the best performances I've ever seen or heard... people in the audience were in tears. It is highlighted with Here Comes The Sun with James Taylor... wish this was posted.
I adore how you can see Yo-Yo Ma say 'oh wow! I love him!' as Stephan Colbert comes on stage
One of greatest humanist ever! A true expression of the best of human kind!

I love his cello playing, and his music is so diverse. He keeps learning and teaches others to love it as he does. What a great man and cellist!
When you have it, one doesn’t have to prove it.
Thank God for His music in you, Mr Ma.
