Samsung is killing it, apart from rendering i can't really see the benefits of the " much better and improved " A18 Pro, Snapdragon has done a fantastic job on the latest snapdragon 8Gen3 and even the 8Gen2, great performance, great battery life, and from the " older " s24u launched in January it's holding up pretty well, even beating the 16 pro max in the battery drain test on Mrwhosetheboss channel is wild

Just ordered my S24 direct from Samsung with 512gb, and protection plan for $1070. The same configuration and protection for iPhone 16 pro max is more than $1600! Save you money. It will be my first Samsung in almost 15 years using iPhone.

The 25 ultra is the direct competitor to the 16 pro max. Other android brands do release their flagship devices earlier, but Samsung (for whatever reason) don't.

Fr, it's using the cloud , also it's not optimised on android that's why it reloads, it reloads on my s24u too even if I don't have even 10 apps open wich proves it's about the app and not the phone. There's app i can open 40 of them and none reload and theres some apps i can open 10 of them and they will all reload because they aren't optimised , Spotify for example, it refreshes no matter what , and on the other hand there's apps like TH-cam and telegram that never ever refresh on me
The stutter wjile scrolling is because iphones never really use 120hz. they at are mostly at 80-90hz. The promotion implementation is horrible on the iphones.
It is possible to disable animations on the Galaxy, just like that.

Great content. S24 ultra did great for being 9 months older than the 16pro max, and being that the 16pro max chip is a 3nm, which should be faster than the 8 gen 3, which is a 4nm chip.the smoothness when scrolling was much better and smother on the s24 ultra. Animation to me doesn't mean a thing to me. I turn off all animations on my phone, which makes it much snappier than with it on. Let's see how the 16pro max will do against the s25 ultra when it has the 3nm snapdragon gen4😮
Since this is a speed test and were seeing whose best, you should enable "reduce animations" on samsung. Thats for speed, animations are for looks.
And do the same on the iPhone, it is called "reduce motion" and makes it super-slick like 0.0X animations on the S24U.

Yes, iOS 18 is buggy as hell, and I even went to dev beta iOS 18.1 from public beta iOS 18.0 due to terrible battery life and performance. The 18.1 is much better in all regards and I expect Apple to get this update out ASAP.

@@keqling7086 It always sucks on launch. as the software team struggles to keep up with the launch date. The good thing is that over the year it gets better and better after each update, and for people like me that buy after a few months it doesn't matter as it is stable by the time I dive in.

It's not really about graphic rendering, it's about app optimisation. Adobe Rush is poorly optimised for 8 Gen 3, in most of the other editing apps 8 Gen 3 thrashed the A17 Pro😅

This is the first iteration for iOS 18 with many features and optimizations to wait for this Fall whereas the Android Counterparts be it Pixel or Samsung are still running older Android 14 instead of Android 15 because they couldn’t get it done on time…..If iPhone 16 Series could run iOS 17.7 then the Applications would perform even better because it is more stable older version of iOS unlike Androids

The S24U needs more than 12GB of RAM to compete with the iPhone 8GB. I have seen a few tests that prove this conclusively. You need to use RAM+ and add 8GB of swap so that the S24U can match the iPhone. RAM+ is well optimised now so you only see about 0.25 second flash as apps load from swap. Hoping, like Google, the S25 line comes with 16GB, or at least an option.

Exactly right, they always do these tests on a beta version which is not optimized. Around about 18.2 the optimization kicks in.
I find these test irrelevant. Samsung has had all year to update and tweak software along with app developers. IPhone just came out. Try again when apple and app developers start pushing updates 😆
