    Wind buffeting has been my nemesis on my bike
    The buffeting is SO violent at 70mph+ , and I am actually considering selling the bike.
    55mph or below, LOVE it, but i commute 45mi each way to work on a Tollway where 5tmph will get you ran over.
    I've tried Powerbronze, Gustuffson, Puig Tours, Madstad, and nothing works
    I am also 5ft 11in tall.
    Ride safe!!
    Edit: Just finished your video.
    Wow!! What a HUGE difference that one made!!
    Follow up video on any rides using this screen??

    THANK YOU for posting this video. I just picked up a used 2007 R1200RT with the stock windscreen .. I'm really tall and wanted to get some escape from the wind on the highway. Found a used Aeroflow tall on Beemer boneyard. It's not here yet but I'm hoping it works better. Fingers crossed.

    I had Aeroflow screens on my R1100GS, R1200GSA, R1200GS and F800GS over a 20 year period. They are unquestionably the best designed screens around. I understand they are only released once comprehensive real world testing is carried out and have sophisticated shapes with compound curve and air ducts. I also used their side wind deflectors which lessened wind effects. Highly recommended.

      @MeEtnorb, I agree with you 100%. I love my Aeroflow windscreen. I have not used the side protectors purely due to the fact that I personally don’t like the aesthetics of them.
      However, I can only assume, they work just as well as the windscreens.
      Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

    Nice demonstration. I run a Werks QuietRide on my RT. Just a little more airflow than an Aeroflow, but still a significant reduction in noise and buffeting compared to stock for my dimensions.
    It's always a balance between protection, noise, buffeting, back pressure, etc. Everyone's preference and ergos are different.

      I second the Werks QR. However, the winglets on the item screen performs well. What about mpg?

    Are you looking through the screen with the OEM and Aeroflow on the highest setting?

    • @1titemoto
      @1titemoto  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @markmottersjead646, Mark, that’s a great question. In the video, I’m definitely looking through both screens at their highest levels.
      What I find is that when I’m daily riding with my Aeroflow, I place the top of the windscreen just below my eyesight. Picture it as if you were peeking over a wall! I find this most comfortable for my safety.
      If I get rain, then I place is completely up and look through the screen. I find the water displaces very well during the rain. However, as soon as it stops, I put it right back just below eye level.
      I hope that was helpful!
      Cheers,
      VA

      @@1titemoto - Thanks for your response. Follow-up, do you find the width of the Aeroflow, especially at the bottom cuts down on the turbulence in comparison with the OEM screen?

    • @1titemoto
      @1titemoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      @markmotterjead646, I find it definitely covers better than OEM. Areoflow does offer a lower wing that attaches to the fairing that might provide even better lower body leg protection. It’s not to mike liking. I’ve only experienced cold wind issues at knee and below. Thermals could easily solve that problem. As for the hands, they are slightly better protected against wind than OEM also. And I do mean slightly! 😂

    Thank you for the detailed description, it is very informative, especially because you compare both back to back, while other videos tend to show the new windshield only. I was wondering if a taller windshield would lower the bike MPG, did you notice any difference?

    • @1titemoto
      @1titemoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @stepm9310, since I ride so sporadically (High and Low Rpm speeds), I haven’t really paid much attention to Aeroflow impacts my “mpg.” I really don’t know!

    As big as the OEM screen is, the buffeting is terrible. I need to replace mine too at some point.

    • @1titemoto
      @1titemoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      @mytwowheellife9246, I found the OEM to be “OK;” however, I definitely wanted more coverage. I must say that it does get up to 100 degrees or more at times, and with the Aeroflow, it does block needed air. I may need to add a misting machine to the motorcycle. LOL!
