  • In this video I'm going to be telling you How I got over the Fear of Balance Point and how I stopped chasing my wheelies on my KTM 500 Supermoto.
    Obviously, Im nowhere even near being good at wheelies but the main point of this video is that I have enough trust in the break to drop back and not to chase. Let me know if this video helped you and ride safe!

    Crazy how I can’t explain BP to others, it’s like leaning back on school chair.
    What’s crazier is that moment when everything clicks and all makes sense 🤯
    You’ll never be the same rider! My rides are now 90% on 1 wheel 🤣 much addictive

      Even though I’m chasing them I’m kinda right near balance point. On my bike balance point feels super far back to the point the bike is straight 12 o clock to be at balance anything other than that I’m chasing it but I’m still get hella distance and not going into red line

    Nice bike bro ! You can turn man it’s all on your mind you have to learn the swerve first then just exaggerate the swerve if that makes sense! Also I push outside peg and pull inside grip to kinda angle the bike hope this makes sense lol I’ll have some turn videos up soon

    Great Job ! Must be a fantastic feeling to unlocking this thing. Do you keep the throttle steady and adjust with the brake or do you sort of do both gas and brake alternatively ?

    I'm about 0.73° away from balance point and I always instinctively jab the rear brake when I feel the bike is a bit too high.
    This is all the motivation I needed to fully commit 💪🏾

    i ride an 85 2 stroke and it’s my first bike and with small bikes with powerful motors it’s touchy when you up there what i did to get them is LOW RPM’S HIGH GEAR 3rd gear going 10mph and get it up to balance point with the clutch and practice 🤝

    You can turn , you just need to add pressure to the left or right bar the same you would if both wheels were on the ground and you were hitting a corner at speed , and look in the direction you want the bike to go

    I'm able to get the bike to the balance point, however, I'm still struggling to keep the wheelie at a constant speed. When I feel I'm at the balance point, I'm literally sliding of the seat and usually sitting at the very tail of the seat. The main difference I see in this video (compared to my wheelies), is that when you start dropping the front wheel a bit, only a little bit of throttle gets it back high enough, while in my experience I feel like I have to add way more throttle and then I'm picking up speed.
    I'm doing it on an exc 450.
    Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    So you stay in to the throttle and use the rear brake to control the wheelie? I used to just pop my bike up. Now I’m chopping the throttle to keep it up and through gears and worries one day it’s gonna bite me chopping on the throttle

    • @looneyracing5992
      @looneyracing5992 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've been obsessing as well and still trying to get there. I can say my wheelies are getting higher but the troubling part is keeping em up. I always bring em down with the rear brake as soon as I get up high out fear I'm gonna loop out. I really wanna get pass that and be able to hold them up for longer periods of time.

      the way I learned is to press the brake lightly even before I start the wheelie and just hold it down all the time. I destroyed my brake pads in about 3 weeks of practice with this method but i got past balance point and then started to only apply brake when I need it :)

    • @jackjack-xi7je
      @jackjack-xi7je ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate everybody's guidance here! Recently I just conquered my fear...and then I looped out. 😆 Now I'm not afraid to drop back anymore.
