Diamond Lie played in a Battle Of The Bands contest at Kane Hall on the University of Washington campus in early 1988 as well. I went to this show with my roommate and his friend, who was a budding guitar player. We all agreed that Diamond Lie was by far the best of the 3 groups that played that night. This in particular was quite memorable. They introduced it by saying "We play both kinds of music; Country and Western".
