Synopsis:
Trix and Skip are in for a whopper of a job when Zack and the Chuggineers order a big consignment of materials for the new Rotoslopia Engine Sheds. With customers picking up, supplies dropping off, and garbage to haul off, the two are soon zooming about! Can an unlikely friend gear them into the right direction to survive the day?

DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
Here comes the Construction Crews!
One of our goals for Season 2 was to explore not only the wider world of Crotoonia, but to dive deeper into the characters and how they (and some locations) connect with one another; in this case, exploring the Supplier's Yard we introduced in Tracy the Harbour Engine and how they contribute to a variety of things around the docks, towns, and beyond!
Skip the Trix entered the scripting stage back in April 2022; intended to be a simpler episode to pair up with another episode currently in the works, it got tossed around a bit before realizing it'd be an ideal followup to the craziness (both in terms of the production AND episode itself) within Loose Caboose. Ironically, thanks to the size of the voice cast (as well as one or two other things), it would take until January for us to finally enter the animation phase!
Like the prior episode, this would be a team effort with our trainee animators from the prior episode (Sean and Toony) graduating to proper lead animators with Tipper helping to take on a good chunk alongside assisting them, and boy did they deliver! I personally worked on the Chuggineers scene myself (save Benny's character animation, done by Sean), while the rest of the animation was split between the team. This episode would not look NEARLY as good without the help of them + Lachie doing Mr. Noisy's animation!
We managed to complete everything animation wise by late March, but the score and sound editing taking a bit to deliver led us to ultimately hold off launching the episode until now...and it was well worth it given how much we packed in! Many thank you to both our amazing voice crew for their delightful performances and bringing life to the series, and a special thank you to Emma from QVoices for hooking us up with Joe; both were delights to work with and glad to say it won't be the last you'll hear of him! ;)
Next time! It's time to shine the light again on McCrakenton's fussy old shunter...

This was a really nice episode with another good moral behind it. It's nice to see Skip and Trix together in their own main episode, having their own troubles with organization and having to get a lot of other engines' work collected, losing time with their main big one before receving their moral from Phil. I really like their chemistry here. I also love the voicework per usual, especially from Zack the Chuggineer. He has a really splendid voice and that goes the same from the other Chuggineers. Huge credit goes down to TipperTopHat as Zack, Annie C as Tyne and our guest star, Joe Sims from the UK dub of Chuggington reprising as Fletch. That was a very nice surprise!
If I had two nickels for a Chuggington voice actor to reprise their characters in Crotoonia, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but funny it happened twice.
The animating is really great. Tipper, Toony and Nascar has done an awesome job with it! From the chaoticness in the beginning to the scenes from the music section. All great, along with the cinematography. The cameos here are all surprising. There's a few I never expected and pleasent to see here in Crotoonia, FB from Roary The Racing Car is definitely one them. I was very happy to see his cameo (Nascar did a nice job with voicing his engine sounds too). And the updated models from TonyPilot is really nice, it's great to see the improvement from his model work.
Love the song here, the main song is nice, the instrumental work is top-notch once again. I really enjoyed the singing from you, Milan, and BorisFangirl. And the instrumental from Wisteria Bird Studios is superb. Overall, I enjoyed this episode! I think it's really nice. Great job to you all!

Excellent episode as usual! Loved the direction and camera work in particular - especially for the chaotic montage at the start and the musical number. Great job to all the new animators - they totally delivered! Loved seeing so many characters and cameos from all the previous episodes, shorts, and Railside Tails too. Overall great job to everyone involved! :)

Nice we finally get to see it, since I was little confused on why it didn't air last weekend. Though it's definitely become a lot stranger since now we have Phil, a mythical creature mixed in with this world of anthropomorphic vehicles, animals, and cartoon humans. Then again, Ariel is a mythical creature too, but we see her in her human form a lot. Same with Ursula, too. Plus, Megara, Hades and Hercules are from Greek mythology.

This came together amazingly :) And I can kind of understand what Skip and Trix go through with so many machines asking them for the things they need, but it is important indeed to know what you need to do first and let others know what's going on :)

I’ll admit Pete’s redesign is little impressive especially to make him a little more akin to his appearance from the movie, but also I kinda felt a little bothered though especially since his pistol arms don’t entirely look like the ones from the short film and his size in length is a little too short from how I saw it; Plus I’ll admit I kinda miss the whistle on his front dome, along with his nameplate, number, and tender which is what made the TonyPilots original model look quite unique, special and nostalgic from my honest perspective, but nevertheless I hope thet00nedl00n might pursue such changes and fixes to his model of Pete at one point even though the choice is his and his alone in the long run (I was not trying to be rude nor this was meant to be a rant)

Dugard. Who is Dugard you may ask? He is a Milwaukee Road EF-1 Electric BoxCab locomotive. He is Big, and he is Friendly, but he will get pissed off at any rude engine Belittling others or just generally behaving poorly. Dugard usually works high up in the mountains, and he gets his power from catenary wires above the rails he rides.
Also, No body movement with Dugard. He is big, bulky, and he doesn’t need allot of “Cartoonification” done to him.
He works with other BoxCab’s and electric engines like himself, and all the engines of the Mountain Road are quite friendly, though they do get disturbed at any Cartoonish movements. Also, they are a bit more mature than the other Locomotives & Engines of Cartoonia. Their Railroad, called the Mountain Rode, services small Coal Mining & other industries high up in the mountains. They also service other electrified shoreline railroads.
There is a section of their railroad known as the ShadowStone Pass, which is the most treacherous area of their railroad. There is a town and a mountain named Shadow Stone, and all the mountains around Mt. ShadowStone are known as the ShadowStone Range.
The ShadowStone pass is dangerous because During the Spring & Summer months, melting show & ice creates the conditions for hazardous Rockslides & Avalanches. During the Autumn season, there are severe wind/rain/and lightning storms. And during the Winter, blinding blizzards and more howling wind. But despite the hazardous conditions, there has only been one accident on the ShadowStone pass in all of its existence.
The Accident occurred one Fall Night during an extremely violent storm. Another Boxcab electric, an FF-5 named Al, was hauling a heavy freight train until the ground suddenly gave way from under him, and he and his entire Train, along with 4 of the 5 Railroad personnel with him, fell down into the gorge below. Only the Conductor who was stationed in the caboose was able to jump to safety before Al & the whole train fell. Al’s remains, along with his train, are still lying at the bottom of the gorge from which he fell. The Destroyed section of Rail was replaced by a bridge.
The ShadowStone Pass is mostly a single track system with a few double track sections. On one side there is a steep ascending wall of Rock, on the other is a steep descending cliff. The Catenary wires have one supporting leg near the edge, and an upper bar above the wires that connects with the mountain face.
There are other electric engines on the Mountain Rode, some of them not having Milwaukee Road based designs. Zoug is one such engine. He is based off the Oregon Electric 72-Tonner steeple cab, and he is not as friendly to outsiders as the BoxCabs or other electrics. He is the engine who uses the ShadowStone pass the most, for the Short line Railroad he works for also uses the ShadowStone Pass, along side the Mountain Road.
Beyond the ShadowStone pass are areas where there is more level ground, and even towns. The first town trains come upon is the town at the base of the very Mt. ShadowStone. This town shares the name, for the towns name is ShadowStone, and it’s home to the ShadowStone Coal Corporation, a mining company that mines coal. There are other towns along the ShadowStone Range, and these towns are mostly mining towns because there is not enough land for agriculture.
