great video as always, ive stopped watching all the cars vloggers these days but wont stop watching you my friend, i love your style and personality on camera!
@@seenthroughglass I think that’s the one about the very existence of the F1 GTR depending on one guy asking for it to happen. Amazing! And the cars McLaren actually built to « apologize » on certain occasions. Brilliant!
Had the privilege of being given a tour by Rowan Atkinson of his F1. If you have not seen one in person lets just say seeing them on screen does them no justice at all. Pure function, none of the nonsense adorned by modern hyper-cars, no bells and whistles, just a pure driving machine. Jodie Kidd did a video recently featuring the F1. Well worth a view if you too are a fan of this astonishing automotive legend! Really enjoyed the video Sam! Thank you.
As you said Sam the collection of McLaren F1’s was jaw dropping, I thought I was incredibly lucky to see the red one and the original long-tail a few years ago in the same day but that many in such a amazing place would leave me speechless. As for the level of personalisation that you received at your hotel 😮
When you post stuff like this, I don't mind you going on holiday... the videos just keep getting better and better! Now I'm just waiting for the new behind the glass intro and new season!! Massive thanks again Sam for taking us on your journey 🙏
As usual a really good episode. Many of us, like yourself, enjoy much more than the amazing autos you share…to include architecture, interiors, food and the dining…the whole luxury experience! I’d gladly watch a much longer video if you shared more of the epic places you visited in detail. You’re good at this!!!
Every F1 vid I've ever watched gets my heart racing, and heavy breathing. I cannot contain my love for this car. Runner up in terms of evoking emotion is how 911/930/993s make me feel. (964 never really did it for some reason.)
Great video! I learned a lot about a car whose history has already been generally well-documented. Amazing to see so many F1s in the same place, at the same time.
I stayed at the Peninsula in Hong Kong Sam, and you're right' it is one hell of a hotel, my only problem was I was in a film crew on our way to Manilla to interview Imelda Marcos, so, being in extravagant transit, we had about six hours in our rooms, which were epic. Love the F1's.
Awesome STG touring with Truffle! McLaren F1, absolutely the business and excellent to hear more of the car's history👍 Furhermore, I saw Philip "manhandling" number 8 Cobra on GW video, looked really cool and it made me think of your fun paddock visit and video recently. Thank you as always Sam, enjoyed the many beautiful sights. Crossing fingers you get to drive a F1 soon, that'll be a hoot!
Great video, always love your enthusiasm. The Paris Peninsula is wonderful..I got a guided tour when it first opened as I knew the manager. She used to run the Bangkok Peninsula, where we stayed every year. Then you mentioned the HK Peninsula.. it was the 1st hotel I stayed in on my 1st o/s trip. 1970, I was 17. It was eye opening, as was HK. Stayed there a few times since. Tremendous hotel. Those were the great days to visit HK.
He didn't even mention that at the hotel the F Type was parked next to a Chiron, that's a good measure for the insanity of a hotel I would say! Great video again. Travelling but showing the interesting parts and of course an amazing display of McLaren F1's!
Amazing collection of McLaren F1’s, 🤩 and the story behind them makes them indeed really special! Love the way you take us on your trips, great music and atmosphere!! Hope you enjoyed your celebration 🎉 more then deserve it!!!🎊🥂
Living in the US and there being a burnt orange F1 in the US in the late 90s or early 2000s that got coverage in a couple car magazines, burnt orange has always been "the color" for me when it came to the F1. I guess silver works too. I would take the brown F1 at this point if I'm being honest, I'm not too particular.
I saw the F1 demonstrator in 1997 I think, at MIRA’s 70th anniversary event where it was supposed to be matched against the XJ220 on the bowl. The XJ dropped out of the joust but the F1 reputedly ran at 230mph and it sounded like a jet aircraft from the middle of the bowl with its three banked corners holding in the sound. A mate of mine saw 187mph out of his ZZR1100 on the braking straights.
The only Automotive Manufacturer to build a road car to race car (first generations) to win Le Mans outright, of course, during the CBE Gordon Murray years. ❤
How you don't have Millions of subscribers I don't know ... Your Style , grace and experiences are amazing. I love the passion on this channel. Well done Sam 👏
In the history of racing cars you forget Dr. Thomas Bscher, from Germany, who also urged McLaren to use the F1 in the race. He even had to buy 2 to get 1 race car.
Really good video! I wonder if the the F1 collection in Brunei will ever come to public view. Apparently, the BRF still hold some of the most significant ones.
F1 is more a case of well-done advertising than actual performance! I talked to three F1 owners one from Monaco and two who were at GoodWood a few years ago and all three said the same thing, that the car is not even close to being one of the best, that it is bad at high speed because it is unstable, it is bad brakes, the best part is the engine, only won Le Mans because the competitors suffered BOP, if you take videos from the 90's in other championships with freer BOP, the F40LM and the XJ220S were much faster than the F1 GTR / LM both straight and corners! But of course it is still a historic car, Great content as always!!
Had the pleasure of sitting in a McLaren F1 at the Park Lane showroom (purchased the book of the McLaren F1 )and asked politely if I could sit in the car, only the passenger seat to the left of the driver absolutely amazing it was the mid nineties so phone technology was not what we have now so no selfies
Phil ain't gonna let you in his next wild ride if you stayed somewhere else dude. TBF, I've stayed in a few of their hotels and always been treated well.
F1 Joy's owner I believe also owns P1 Joy, a P1 in the same colour combination as the F1! All F1 owners were given first refusal of P1's, I believe Henry Catchpole has a video on both cars
great video as always, ive stopped watching all the cars vloggers these days but wont stop watching you my friend, i love your style and personality on camera!

100% the same
And yet again another awesome video from Sam!
Incredible to hear those stories behind every car, thanks for this! Keep up the good work 🤩
Thanks for watching. What was your favourite story?

Love this style of video Sam, please keep showing us amazing hotels and cars
Next level content from STG - Just when we thought we'd see it all. Congrats Sam and thanks for sharing with us!
That's pretty impressive to see that many F1's together 🔥🔥
Hey Sam. Thanks for your efforts and greetings from Granby, Colorado.
I adored the Coming to America clip. I yelled the F*** You! When I saw it. Awesome Sam!

Omg Sam i hope you were sharing the luxury with your wife! You maybe in trouble otherwise! The hotel looks fabulous! What lovely details. 👍👍👍
Enjoy yourself Sam, 100% earned it with the content you provide and the positivity you bring.
The original Ueno Clinic that won Le Mans was valued at US$65 million back in 2015 so hate to think what it’s worth now.
Great video 👍🏻
Funny that McLaren raced against themselves with the CLK instead of Mercedes 9:18
I've seen one in person and it was jaw dropping, but 11 is just insane. Long live the McLaren F1 and 90's BMW engines.

Brilliant videography and pace, very good work!
Love the story behind the cars! Also the story of the Mexican Cartel F1 (VinWiki story) is great! If you don't know just search for it on YT.
McLaren F1 High Mirrors is my choice when i win the lottery.
Thanks for the Extravaganza of "F-1's".... great tribute to such an amazing.....CAR!!!!!
As always, top notch video! That hotel setup was bonkers. Nicely done.
I have two F1's.
Both in 1/32 scale slotcar form.

I wondered where all the F1s were, I was shopping for one last week, couldn't find any on the shelves.
Nice to have such things I should imagine :D
"In the Jag.."
Great impression.
Shoutout to Henry over there!! Hell of automotive journalist!
Premo content (as per usual).

Killing it Sam!! another epic video!! loving the content as always from all the way in New Zealand :)
Loved the video !!!!. Thank you for sharing 👍🇦🇺
Great vid!! Loved the Coming to America reference 😂
Luv the Vlog on McLaren F1 ❤👍
Honest question, how many brown cars are there in the UK? Less than 100? Rare stuff 👌
Haha. I think there’s more than you would imagine. Should we start a survey?
@@seenthroughglass most seem to be JLR products, fords and Citroen berlingos 😂
I have a brown Audi A3 1.9 TDI from 97 is that rare? but I'm from Spain hahaha

You could film a Honda Civic and I’d watch it. You’re one of the best storytellers out there.
What a great video! You should do a second video or an interview with someone from that museum… maybe you’d be lucky enough to drive one!
Love the F1, probs my favourite car. Thanks for the great content once again Sam!
Great stuff Sam. Thought that Phil hooked it up til you said you paid for the room. Great hotel group.
9:16 The McLaren CLK was indeed an insane racecar and an even rarer sight, as no one in the world apart from Sam has only seen it in real life 🤣
Simply amazing
The Mclaren F1 is still my favourite car ever built.
My favourite car of all time!! Great video as always, keep them coming!!!
Had a McLaren pencil case on the late 90s, loved them
Absolutely stunning. Unbelievable car
Was lucky enough to see the red F1 at a local car meet a couple years ago, was stunning in person 👌🏻
5:18 this color makes sense as it’s almost the same color as his racing uniform/team color
First class content,great presentation too!
Thanks!
McLaren had futuristic looking cars in the 90's. They can beat most of today's cars from a looks perspective
