I so want to see ROUTH play SUPERMAN in a KINGDOM COME mini series.
Routh’s Superman makes Tyler’s look like Superboy.
Edit: Jeezus. Thanks for all the likes.
Just superboy. Not Prime though
The 2006 movie wasn't super but it wasn't bad either. He did a Routh did a fine Superman, he certainly had the chops for it, and especially the baritone voice.
I just don't like Tyler as superman. He is to short and to small framed. Routh looks great as superman even better then Cavill.
Imagine welling suiting up
This is the worst CGI
It's so impressive seeing how far technology has come. This fight scene looks like a mid 2000s action film. And that is not an insult for a tv show
Mid 2000s actiom film. So.....Superman Returns (2006)
Looks like 90s show
Lockonese you don’t know what you’re talking about. this fight looks surprisingly good, possibly even great, for any network show, let alone a CW show
yeah, you can notice the budget raise
@@CoyoteWill664 Dude you're crazy.

A thing I missed until right now: the picture for the 'Daily Planet' attack article is the comic panel from Kingdom Come. Nice touch.
Anyone noticed that Routh's Superman laser beams are just like they were in Superman Returns?
He's the same superman but because a lot of time has progressed since Louis and his friends died he becomes kingdom come superman the 3rd most powerful superman in exisistance, the 2nd begin kryptonite immune superman where kryptonite didn't harm him but was subjected to mind control, but strength wise isn't on par with kingdom come superman, the only reason he is number 2, kryptonite had zero effect on him and he had all his abilities, the first being superman prime he is basically God mode and has zero weaknesses and infinite powers. This superman is basically superman where all is powers are beyond his prime limit and is really OP but has the weaknesses of superman but it takes a lot I mean shit ton of kryptonite to defeat him. He isn't like normal superman where a little bit of kryptonite and he's down and crying, this version would require buckets full to make him even flinch as he was the one who lifted a entire island made of kryptonite and still had all his powers for quite a while and took a bit of time for the kryptonite to actually effect him and when was able to walk away he still survived. A tiny bit of kryptonite won't do shit to this superman, This is why people say he is the 1st most powerful version of a normal superman as kryptonite immune superman spent shit ton of time in the sun to become immune but had pure magic weaknesses, and superman prime is basically God mode and is made of gold with infinite power, this superman is in line of normal supermen with all the abilities but LIKE OP POWERFUL compared to the rest. Every other superman this superman would wipe the floor with them, remember this superman was the superman that actually kept lex alive as he single handly deafted all his enemies and needed lex to entertain him.
This Superman has Christopher Reeve's Superman's pass, with the future of Kingdom Come, and have similarities with Superman Returns
@@loop5720 I already said he is the kingdom come superman. You do know that the superman from superman returns becomes this version after losing everyone. Go look it up the directors have confirmed this
@@loop5720 if you need to learn the story go on Wikipedia, after the events of superman returns superman single handly beats his opponents it was joker that gasses the daily planet and kills Louis and his friends and son. Superman goes back to fortresses of solitude and spends SHIT TON of time in there like 20 years pass by and another hero named magog kills joker and Magog gets arrested and placed in prison for jokers death, it was then superman comes back to say he's a hero free him. Bare in mind kingdom come superman is a alternative timeline to the actual death of joker. As it was batman that eventually kills joker not magog
Filip Sosnowski yes not sure if it bothers me or not
This is how he should of looked in superman returns lol
Well this is a totally different Superman. That was a sequel to Reeves movies. This is kingdom come
lovefrompraha they are actually confirmed to be the same this is the same Superman just in future he became kingdom come Superman
Well said. I was about to say that
@@herox7191 yeah but either way, kingdom come has had centuries of growth. Guy is overly powerful compared to earlier years. And hell, even based on the Reeves movies and Superman returns, he's already wayyyyy more powerful than cw Superman so this should just be like him fighting Superboy or something lol
lovefrompraha no..this is the reeves Superman ..this was already confirmed by creators
The dummy lex must have strong arms for carrying that huge ass book around everywhere
1:18 - The funniest thing about this is how they're still tracking both Supermen after they fly out of view LOL
Does Tyler's Superman ever do anything but be a punching bag every time he appears in the CW shows ?.
So that ppl don’t complain that superman is too OP
you know its marketing for supergirl right?
Imagine it being a wrestling gig and he has to job to put supergirl over
Hoechlin held his own against Routh's Superman pretty well for a while. I was much happier with his performance here than his last super-fight. And I'm not upset he was outmatched by the OG Superman. Anyone would be.
Daniel Dickson yeah but then you add that up with all of his other L’s and it just looks bad
I don’t know what’s going on, but i can’t take Alan Harper being a villain seriously.
The last few castings for Lex haven’t been good at all, but he’s a lot better than Jesse Eisenberg
Too bad it's not Rosenbaum
pyrolee17 Rosenbaum, Best Lex Luthor. And Tom Welling, Best Superman
@@jaeggernaut Tom Welling was never Superman.. he was Clark Kent (or the Blur.. lol). He also never wore the suit (what you see in the finale was all CGI, since he refused to wear it). Saying Welling is the best Superman is ignorance at its best. He was a good young Clark Kent though, that he was.

I believe this version is the Christopher Reeve/Superman Returns.
Connor Kent! He is. It plays John William’s score and even a hint of John Ottman’s from Returns when Clark appears
He is. He even referenced his son Jason, later on.
Isn`t Routh supposed to be playing the Kingdom Come Superman? not at all the same version as the Richard Donner one...
@@marioozzie well it is now
@@marioozzie Nah, he's playing the Reeve character. Guggenheim (one of the producers) confirmed that this Superman (which looks like the Kingdom Come version) is the same character as the Reeve version.
Although the movie wasn't that great Brandon Routh was a great Superman! Nice to see him back in character.
Brandon Routh is a criminally underrated actor. He was great in Crooked Arrows
I never realized how much I love Brandon as Superman. It’s also so cool that he is still supposed to be the Christopher Reeve version too, since he mentions having a son named Jason which is from Superman Returns which is a sequel to the Reeve movies. Plus they use the theme and he acts just like the classic Clark Kent.
Brandon was great, it's just that Superman Returns was a very slow film especially compared to most modern superhero movies
And he mentioned, this is the 2nd time I went nuts and fought myself. (originals when he was fighting himself in the junkyard)
I thought the other one was suppose to be the injustice superman, couldn't save lois or jimmy because joker shot jimmy and then after that, made superman believe lois who was pregnant to be doomsday using fear toxin and made her heartbeat the detonator for a nuclear bomb and it was too late when he realized what happened. Metropolis is gone, lois and his baby is dead. He killed the joker and then went on to form a dictator regime. I hope this was the other superman, lex luthor maybe caught him before he killed the joker and promised him a deal as in the injustice universe he was trustworthy.
“Well this isn’t the first time I’ve gone nuts and fought myself” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'd love to see Brandon Routh in more Superman movies, as Henry Caville begins to hang up the digitally generated cape back on the hook, Brandon Routh should pick up the cape and wear it again proudly.
Dude, imagine if Christopher Reeves was still alive and made a cameo
That's what I was thinking. The OG Superman that made him more iconic than before
Atleast Brandon Ruth did it for him
REEVE u idiot not Reeves
He would do great as Kal-L
well Brandon’s Superman is reeve Superman anyway
I'm so happy Routh is getting praise for this. He deserved more time in the cape. Hopefully he gets his own spinoff
This makes me think what if MCU unites Tobey's Spiderman, Andrew's and Tom's in a movie
Aira Dita I saw an article about that few days ago looks like it might happen sometime in the future
A live action into the spidervese is very likely to happen, and having at least tobey as the old peter parker is very viable
There was originally gonna be a scene in spider verse where all 3 would be arguing in the train miles was in, but got scrapped, they confirmed there would definitely gonna be loads of movie Easter eggs relating to the movies in part 2
Nah. I don't wanna see Tobey and Andrew Spider-Man ruined.

Hoechlin’s Superman looks like the discount store variant next to Routh.
No, he looks like the one that people would buy at zentaizone
Exactly
He is. He is the beta Superman, inferior to Supergirl even in raw physicality. The modern Superman, weaker than the girls.
Conrad Ferrus False. It was speculated that when she first showed up she may be more powerful, but was later shown to be solely due to Superman holding back because he was raised around non-powdered people and fragile surroundings. Superman proved definitively more powerful when he cut loose. Drastically more powerful.
Supergirl has never been more powerful or as powerful as Superman in the comics, so quit your poor attempts at correcting others.
He reminds me a little of Dean Cain Superman
Love how the newspaper article photo is taken RIGHT outta Kingdom Come: Superman
Joker did all that.
The shot of Older Superman nearly choking his younger self is straight from an Alex Ross comic cover. That was another nice homage
Try and find a clear image of it. The front page references Alex Ross as the artist of the photo and Mark Waid as the writer of the story. Nice little Easter Egg I thought.
Fuck joker
In just two episodes, Brandon Routh gave us the best Superman in the arrowverse. They should have done a series for Brandon’s Superman. A series based off the kingdom come storyline would have been so awesome and different. A much darker take while showing how he manages to cope with the struggle of lose ands still be the hero we love would have been awesome. But I’m just thankful we got to see his Superman again one last time.
Reeves, Routh, Cavil, Hoechlin. The new supe has a lot to live up to after all these greats.
Cant forget Welling too

This battle was so good between the Supermen. Definitely the Man of Steel style battle was nice between bother Supermen.
And, I'm definitly going to get a lot of flack for saying this, there was less destruction compared to Superman vs Zod solo battle in Man Of Steel. At most only a few skyscrapers lost their windows.
Deadpoolrockz6 u can’t really compare the two tbh 🤷🏻♂️ tv show vs movie its not fair to compare them tbh
@@davidguzman4500 You are right, I can't actually compare the two, but its not because one is a Tv show and the other is from a film. Its actually because the fight in the tv show is much shorter compared to the one in the film. Also different circumstances with the 2 supermen, being that one is mind controlled and both clearly holding back. My comment about the destruction was really meant as a joke anyhow, so don't tread on it really.
