I really like water features. I think it gives your place a pleasantly aesthetic atmosphere.

So does this pond install itself. If not then exactly what is so smart about it

Consider aesthetics when considering a falls or pond. These are defineitely DIY projects. Not all professional bodies of water look much better, so dive deep into the beauty of their work. If you are easy to please, DIY is often the cheapest.

This is very nice. But will the filter take care of algae? I planned on putting small fish in the one I am going to have built or build myself.

No small filter can do that.
You need a huge sandfilter or change the water regulary.
I use the dirty water for irrigation and don't waste money on filters.

If you watch the video, notice he is using a pump with a filter that keeps the water clean. Having sold these at Lowes for years, nobody would want a pond this large without a filter because there is no way to empty and refill everytime it gets dirty. Ask the Dept Manager from the Garden Center what products you need and know how many gallons your pond will be using. The filter must be able to clean the amount of water you are filling your pond with or it would not work as I see is a problem the other poster seems to have. It is worth doing your pond correctly the first time and it will last a long time with proper care. Hope this helps.

A pond can add color and life to any landscape, and it’s a weekend project that anyone can complete.

Attractive result, certainly more natural than most you see on TH-cam.
However the waterfall is built up too high compared with the surrounding backyard.
It needs some more soil to be brought on-site, shaped creatively and held in place with Hardcoat

I love the pond but don't like the rocks and gravel on the bottom if you have fish they will muck up fast and the sound is good .I am amazed you have that much water flow since your hose seems long .I have been looking at the smart pond pump 3600 gph since my pond is 7 thousand gallons and two streams and 2 waterfalls .I think the size pump may work .Looking for energy efficient one also

Can this feature be added to a koi fish pond?

It's okay, a bit contrived looking but better than I'd expect from a dept store sponsored vid. Of course it's always better to hire some experience as with a landscape designer/ contractor. Lots of things can go wrong in building a nice water feature, regardless of which specific products are being used to install it. The larger they get the more complex, and the more costly mistakes can be. Then if you add fish to the equation even more to consider. At the very least get a good "how-to" book from Barnes and Noble and read it first. Lots to consider from size to placement (under a tree is nice but leaves are a burden) and materials to be used. Mistakes can be costly (like cutting your liner wrong) so do your homework! Happy Landscaping!

Is there a solar pump that is strong enough to pump that much water. Live in Nevada, lots and lots of sun!

This is one of the ugliest pond I've seen on TH-cam. It's hard to believe the lady that says she likes to hear the terrible sound of that water flowing and even finds it relaxing!! There's nothing peaceful about it!! It's awful!
