    Hi Nerida. Love your videos. I have a suggestion. Have you ever considered making Playlists in TH-cam that would follow specific individuals and their progress? Because if I see say video 1 with a certain person and then want to see an update video 2 weeks later, I have a hard time finding them. Just a suggestion.

    Thank you. I’m interested in seeing how his post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation lessens. Also, you next video on how to not create marks during extractions. Such a problem for self pickers. Another great Nerida video.

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      jill552 hi 👋🏼, a lot of times whether or not you will leave a mark behind depends on the type of lesion your are extracting. For example, if you have common blackheads or whiteheads which do not have inflammation around them, you generally won’t have PIH, as long as you are fairly gentle with them. For more pustules, or lesions that are more inflamed and angry, there will most likely be a mark left behind whether you touch it or not-where there is inflammation, there is infection, and where there is infection, the skin is trying to heal, and part of that healing process involves melanin production. Hope this helps.

    Note about dermaplaning. It’s not recommended for oily skin types because the hair is useful to wick away the oil and help it escape the pore better. Learned that recently. I’m a huge fan of Nerida and an esthetician for 1 year now ☺️

      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cristina,
      Please tell me what you use in the rejuvi line..... stay away from the retinol and aha's. If you get eczema on the neck.....don't use retinol or aha's there either. The neck is a very sensitive are....way more so then the face. Use the super soothing products in the rejuvi line for eczema... no exfoliants either. Send me your product regimen and where you have the eczema please:))

      Hi Merida thank you for such a quick response ....right now I'm using k and milk cleansers eye gel and moisture cream at night.
      I have used the exfoliation mask but have not used it since my flare out.
      I have not use any retinol or aha since my flare out as well. However I did do a fruit complex peel on me last week. My flare out started last Friday and it is on my neck and cheeks. I never had it on my neck before usually I get it on my hands and arms.
      I am a cosmetology license and purchase the fruit complex to try out.. I did not get the flare out on my neck right after the peel I got 3 days later after a wearing a necklace that irritated my neck and then it got worst from there. I have also applied the healing gel all week. Thank you for any feedback.

    I live in NY so it’s not very easy for me to get to you but I’ve been watching your videos and realized I have very surface dry skin with oil underneath. My nose gets really oily and I get a lot of hormonal acne on my jawline and cystic acne on the cheek right below my eyes. Can I purchase products online and get them shipped to me? Or do I have to visit you for them? I’ve tried a few places but after watching you I’ve realized they’ve been doing some things wrong which is why my acne is getting no better. It improves for a few days/weeks but always comes back x10.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      either or. You can mix it with the healing gel if you are a combination skin. If you are a dryer skin you do not need the healing gel and just put the q flavonoid directly onto a clean skin. If you are an oily skin, use the healing gel first, then the q flavonoid etc...:))

    • @NeridaJoySkincare

      High Frequency is stronger and possibly more effective, but should not be used in the same treatment if you have done AHA's because it can burn the skin. The lights can be used regardless:))

    Nerida Joy what's your opinion about differin gel?

  • @Anthi52
    @Anthi52 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi Nerida, I have hormonal acne and I use Salicylic Acid products daily which seem to keep it at bay. I started washing my face twice in the night as you suggested and saw amazing difference, both in spots reduction and scar healing! So happy! I now would like to know how often to use AHA peelings so it doesn't get irritated. Do they irritate acne and make it worse? I noticed if I use a cleanser with them daily it does little to keep my acne at bay, but would like to use them a couple of times a week for anti wrinkle etc effects. Is that a good idea? In the morning I am thinking a Vitamin C serum and at night a Retinoid one. Does this look like a good plan to you? (normal/ combination skin )

    • @Anthi52
      @Anthi52 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does this mean I am putting the right products on?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on the brand? If you have hormonal acne and are using salicylic acid daily, I would not jump onto using a vitamin C product as yet. I can only recommend products I know, so if for instance you wanted an aha 2x a week you could try the rejuvi skin care formula. Depending on how oily you are, look at the Daniella video's. A great simple few items would be the rejuvi K cleanser, exfoliating mask, healing gel, g aha serum, retinol serum PM. Aha's and retinols work on wrinkles as well as acne:)) also you will need the non-comodenic spf 40 tinted...... thats a great regimen right there!:))

    • @Anthi52
      @Anthi52 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I've looked them up. So exfoliating mask everyday, or twice a week as my peeling regime? I have normal/combination skin, so I use cream cleanser. I use a 50 factor sunscreen, Altruist, how often do I need to apply it in UK climate? I do it twice a day. Also when it's a good time to introduce Vitamin C serum? When the acne is clear? My acne is not there all the time, I have breakouts if I eat the wrong foods or use the wrong products.

    Hello ma’am..!!
    Thanks a ton for sharing so much information..!! 🙏🏻
    I want to ask you, what will happen if we do extractions in 1st sitting if the skin has surface dry and underneath oily..!!
    And also can you give some information about micro needling.. is it good for some people or is the treatment makes the skin sensitive?
    Love from India 🇮🇳 ❤️

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exractions is fine, but it will be hard for you to get it out when the skin is surface dry, and you can mark up the skin more this way. Work with the skin, condition it and hydrate it before you go to micro needling. Micro needling works best if you have a healthier skin with pitting then an unhealthy skin with pitting.

    Hi Nerida,
    I have used the cleanser that you are using and it caused tightness of my skin. Also this cleanser has sulfate, which is known for stripping the skin. I used the cleanser in the shower. Afterward I went with a toner (alcohol free) and I still had some makeup left. So I end up with dry and not well cleansed skin. Why is that happening?

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Iryna Hrytsak how are you using the cleanser in the shower? Do you wet your skin first, and what temperature is your water at? Yes, the gel cleanser has sulfate in it, however any surfactant whether it is a sulfate or otherwise can be stripping depending on how much of it is in the product. There is really only enough to lift the dirt, grime, and makeup off, so in this case it should not strip your skin.
      The K facial cleanser is meant to be used with dry hands onto a dry face. You may rinse with water, but I would advise taking it off with a wet washcloth or wetting your face slightly afterward, and then wiping with the washcloth. If you are in the shower and you wet the cleanser, while your face is already wet, it won’t completely go straight onto your skin, which is why you may feel it doesn’t take everything off. And what kind of toner do you use? You don’t need to use one with this cleanser. Trying washing your face with dry hands and a dry face after you have showered, as opposed to in the shower. It should not feel tight and dry.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      don't use it in the shower, do you use a warm wet wash cloth to remove the first cleanse? i don't use a toner. It has very little sulfate and has never dried my skin. Maybe it is not for you? try something different that you like:)

    • @Irynahrytsak22
      @Irynahrytsak22 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Devon Pfeifer Thanks for your reply. I have been using Skin Laundry toner, it’s alcohol free. The only reason why I use the face wash in the shower, because I wash my hair with shampoo every night and like to clean my face last. Just to prevent any residual part of the hair products on my face. The temperature of the water is always warm to hot.

    • @Irynahrytsak22
      @Irynahrytsak22 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nerida Joy Thanks for your reply! I just haven’t found a good cleanser that I can use in the shower. I wash my hair every night with shampoo, so I use cleanser as my last step, to prevent any hair products residue on my face. The cleanser I have tried either too drying or won’t clean my face well. My skin is combo with mild acne.
      Thank you

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Iryna Hrytsak yes that would make sense for you to do it last. Try to do it after you have finished showering, perhaps in your sink with tepid water-not too warm, not too cold. Water that is too warm or hot can actually dry the skin on its own. Make sure your hands and face are both dry, before applying it. Also, try not to put your face toward the shower when you are in the shower.

      more importantly, you have to work with your clients and their regimen. If the issue you are seeing is more in one area of their regimen, then thats where you change it for them for starters. Gotta start slower sometimes if you are dealing with a budget that they are comfortable with ,right?

    Unfortunately every single product in Rejuvi line as well as the flavonoid contain parabens in them which is strange considering that most professional skin care lines have been replacing those preservatives. I was interested in adding the line to my skin care practice but will definitely have to wait until they replace them. I would really like to see some evidence articles on flavonoid as well. Also, how come you never use the steam with any of the treatments? Some of your clients can benefit from it greatly!

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the formulas have been updated without parabens. If you are looking at Dermstore’s website, their ingredient labels are not accurate. The flavonoid does not contain them whatsoever. A lot of them have been replaced with potassium sorbate. Parabens do not bother me, but Rejuvi has updated for the most part.

    • @lauda579

      David Gamer 777 let me know what you hear back from them, I would like to hear. :)
      Also, just be careful what you read on that website. It described the flavonoid being an exfoliating treatment product, which is...quite the opposite lol

      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Firstly, I do use the steam most of the time. Just not on camera. I do not have the time to do full facials on camera as I would be there all night filming several models. I just try to do the best I can in the time I have.
      Seconds, when it comes to ingredients and chemistry ....everything in moderation. Its a long conversation I will save for a video :)

    what causes hormonal acne in women ?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No, hormonal acne has nothing to do with the fact that he has little facial hair. In fact, it is usually the opposite. Its the male hormone testosterone in women, thats why most women with hormonal acne have a slightly darker facial hair and more of it:)

      A Schmeltz hmm...behind your neck and ears... do you have longer hair? If so do you use very nourishing products, or conditioners perhaps that are not all the way washed out in the shower, or possibly leave-in conditioners?? I would say wash you face after your shower, and take your cleanser behind your ears and the back of your neck as well, and update us to see if that makes a difference. I would love to know more, if you wouldn’t mind sharing.

    • @apopiel212
      @apopiel212 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Devon Pfeifer actually no, I have short hair and I'm breaking out on the front of my neck and I forgot to mention a few on my chest. I never used to break out in those areas. Maybe it's age but I feel like the older I get, the more pimples I get.

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Schmeltz hmm. Interesting. It’s hard to know without seeing you, however it could be dietary, perhaps dairy or soy intake, as well as stress levels on top of it, if the concern is around the neck and chest. Perhaps for more milder spots, cleansing using the right type of cleanser for you may be the solution, behind the ears, and a lot of times for the body.
