    I have this all in one unit, bought it last year and into our 2nd winter now, 4° now and it's very much needed!! Never had to prime this unless it was auto.. It only came with a little remote but works fine so far 🎉 As for the battery usage on start up I have mine connected to the starter battery, the little remote gives a volaltage reading thankfully so you can manage the flat battery risk etc, run the engine on start up normally myself 😊

    Definately bearing. Tis possible to change those. Worth rebuilding. You can certainly get better quality ones than those fitted in China.

    I'd change the bearings personally, new bearings are only a few pounds and easy enough to chage, don't just buy a new one, £100 instead of a fiver is silly TBH.
    The trouble with Chinese manufacturing is QC, there is non !
    As fir done well 😂 my proper diesel heater is 16 years old, been run daily for 12 of those 16 years, never had a rebuild or service and works spot on, you get what you pay for and apparently you pay over and over again when you buy cheap Chinese crap 🤔

    Try replacing the bearing in the fan.

    Just buy the fan front end

    Hi Andy had the same noise on mine turned out to be the magnets not pressed home enough in the back of the fan just a thought

    Fan on my heater if the fan is pushed too far back makes that noise, i couldn't see where it was catching. So re-positioned to make no noise.
    Next there are 3 spacer pins to keep unit centred. The bottom pin had pushed into the plastic case causing fan to run on the case. Piece of card about credit card thickness was tapped under the pin, that centred everything. All runs quiet now.

    As this is in fact a Truck night heating I do know these very well. Mine was manufactured by a decent company, Webasto and had this exact fan problem every second year. Taking into account that the spare for a Webasto came with an average price tag way higher than the whole Chinese heating, I can imagine the quality they deliver.

    Hi there, I'm seriously considering getting one of these. That loud noise from the fan sounds like its the bearing1 The question I'm having doubts about is Housing the heater outside... Do you have the cold air coming from outdoors, or from inside the house, ducted out? I'm also a little concerned about noise levels, which is why I want to have the heater outside..

    • @ourtimevanlife9667
      @ourtimevanlife9667  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The new one is a lot quieter than the old one but yes best out side with the inlet from inside if you can manage to do that I’m about to do just that

    • @iainmel1
      @iainmel1 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wait! Ive just had a thought! I had a pellets stove with a balanced ducted fan exhaust/inlet,,, Which means that all the combustion air was drawn from outside, blown in by a fan..... AROUND the exhaust pipe, which both warmed the combustion air a little, but most importantly, cooled the exhaust gases. The exhaust pipe went down the middle of a much larger bore pipe carrying the combustion air. Well..... what about putting your dog kennel out to pasture, and making a new box to house the heater... a box that's as near as you can get to airtight, except that you have a metal pipe fixed to the underneath, with an elbow, which has the flexi exhaust runnung down the middle of it? Thus cooling the exhaust somewhat, and shutting down some of the fan noise and warming the incoming blown air.... NOT the combustion air?
      any thoughts on this?
      This does have the disadvantage of a build up of pressure in the house, which will force your warm air through all the nooks and crannies around windows / doors, or even between floorboards etc. With air ducted from the house, through the heater, and back in again, there will be much less of a pressure differential and therefore, I suspect, a reduced heat loss through leakage
      I can't decide if I think it's worth all the aggro of boring holes through the walls, and all the extra ducting. I would hate to have that air duct going up to the toilet window, like what you have right now. Is that aluminium duct insulated? If not there must be an enormous loss of heat there. Aluminium conducts a phenomenal amount of heat!

      @@iainmel1 all sounds good 👍 yes there’s heat loss it needs rapping in something the aluminium duct to the window

      @@ourtimevanlife9667 if you wrap it, or use a hest insulated hose you'll be amazed at the warmth difference indoors! The indukated hoses are however bloody pricey. 8ft can cost as much as the heater!
