    Awesome Lecture Mam.
    I have one question regarding tableau prep,
    can we do ETL on this and how much ETL is used in the company?
    Is Learning ETL through Tableau Prep, is sufficient, or can you suggest ETL Software to use?
    As a Newbie, to making a carrier transition this question arises.
    It Will be helpful if you want can create More videos on this one.

    • @sqlbelle
      @sqlbelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks J - Tableau Prep is mostly for producing data not necessarily reports. I would envision your workflow to be slightly different .. perhaps a different process after the data has been cleaned?

    Prep builder only show sample data. Is there any better way to confirm the record counts without creating a hyper file at each steps in prep ?
    Eg. If you run a sql query manually it retrieve 2k records. You want replicate that query in prep and want to confirm the records as if it’s retrieving 2k or no in the flow. Is there a better way to check record counts without exporting to hyper file?

    • @sqlbelle
      @sqlbelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Prashant. It doesn't show the number of records right now, but the product is evolving fast. I am on the lookout for new features every major and minor version release. Tableau also looks out for ideas from community, I definitely would encourage you to upvote this functionality.

      I don't know how it works with sql source, but in first node (your data source) under Data Sample you have option "use all data" . Then you'll be able to see number of rows in clean step. However they need to be under 1 million :)

    Great guide, thanks! Is there any prep tutorial on formatting problems (I already saw your general format video)? I do have problems with data that change in prep after import (like 0.5361666666666667 --> 5.361.666.666.666.667).
