    i texlaxed/texturized my curls a few months ago (during quarantine ha) & i LOVEEEEEE it !!! before my hair was 4c/4b & now it is 4a/3c. i also put the product on my scalp to help me with parting my hair & now i can part my hair straight down the middle with my fingers !!!! my hair has always been super thick & incredibly coarse (my mom was a hairstylist with her own shop & it took her HOURS to do my relaxers & get the coarse texture smoothed out smh) so i have always struggled. but now i finally found what works for me ! i get beautiful curls & the manageability of relaxers ! i hope you enjoy this journey !!! xxx 💕

      @@hadeelmohamed5261 since i decided to do this when we were in lockdown, i had to work with what i already had at home lol ! i had some relaxer leftover (because i used to buy them in really big tubs), so i used some of that & put a bunch of olive oil in it to slow down the effects of the relaxer. i coated my hair with coconut oil & put it into 4 sections. i started a timer & applied a thin layer within each section. i made sure the whole process lasted less than 15 mins because i didn’t wanna straighten my hair. then i used the neutralizing shampoo & used a moisturizing deep conditioner. now, a few (i think 2) touch ups & almost a year later, & i am enjoying my texture, manageability, & growth !!! do what’s best for you & your hair will thank you !

      you can add 1 part relaxer to 3 parts condition.
      get a good few shed hairs divide it in two batches leave 5 min on 1 , then 10 mins on next. shampoo & condition & dry and see if results are too lose or tight for your liking.
      remember on your head the roots process faster from the heat.

  • @digthewarmth
    @digthewarmth 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Start at your ends, not your roots, cause the heat from your scalp will make the texurizer process faster, and your roots will become completely straight. Do them last, they'll loosen up fast in the end, to the same point as the rest of your hair.

    Great video! I really needed to watch this. I've had my hair natural for over three years now and I really just want a better way to manage my hair. I don't want a perm, and I think this is the answer. Thank you for this video. I do have one question. Does this texturizer leave your hair smelling fried? I used a different brand in the past and my hair smelled for weeks. I know it's probably the least of my worries. I want to thank you again for the video, and I hope my hair comes out as well as yours.

    How did u prevent your hair from being super straight? And how did u stretch your hair before applying it?

    • @kierstinsimone
      @kierstinsimone  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So initially I just let my hair be . I didn’t stretch it necessarily. But I will say if you would like to stretch before then just play your hair in
      To sections. But I would avoid that so your hair won’t get really straight. The method I used to to prevent it from being straight is how I did it in the video ! Simply starting at the perimeter and pulling in that direction , then the roots then the ends of the entire section. 😘

      A texturizer is the same thing as a perm. You have to retouch it. The thing is, results vary. You can have some parts curly and other parts straight. You are not natural after putting a texturizer in your hair.
