Maharana Pratap's Story that is erased from Indian History | What happend after Haldighati battle?

  • Maharana Pratap was one of the first kings to acknowledge Bharatvarsh and should have been remembered as India's first freedom fighter. But this never happened because post-independence our education system systematically deleted, hid, or undermined the legends of Maharana Pratap Singh, Shri Guru Gobind Singh, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Bappa Rawal, and many more.
Maharana Pratap was never captured or defeated by his enemies, he always found a way to survive and fight back. We all know about the Battle of Haldighati, what we are not told know is the resurgence of Maharana Pratap after 1579, and how he gathered an army of 40,000 soldiers and recovered and conquered Gogunda, Kumbhalgarh, Ranthambore, and Udaipur from the Mughals and ruled his land restoring peace and prosperity for the next 18 years. His story is deleted or hidden from our history books but legends never die and his story still lives on the folk songs, regional books, and other documentation from historians outside the country.
In today’s video, we want to do our part in reviving the real story of Maharana Pratap, the man revered as one of the strongest warriors India has ever seen. Standing at 7 feet 5 inches, he would carry an 80-kilogram spear and two swords weighing around 208 kilograms in total. He would also wear an armor weighing 72 kilograms. Such was his might that once he was faced by Mughal’s biggest fighter Behlol Khan on the battlefield and by just one swing of his Talwar, Khan was split in two along with his Horse.
Maharana was a true patriot who gave up all the royalty and luxury of his crown for the land he so dearly loved. Such was the sacrifice that he chose to eat Rotis made of grass rather than join hands with the Invaders. He respected men and women alike, never discriminated against any race or religion, and always stood for what is right. Such was his ethics and values that even Akbar himself had immense respect for him and cried when he heard about the death of Maharana.
Maharana’s sacrifice and valor will keep inspiring generations of men and women, help us spread the word by sharing this video to celebrate the birthday of Maharana Pratap on 9th May.
Disclaimer : 'Akbar' in the context of Haldighati is a figure of speech and refers to Akbar's army and not Akbar himself.
His participation in the battlefield is still unknown.
While some sources say he did, others say he dint.

Regarding the weight of the armour. Sorry guys I read the news hence stated!! But don’t worry regardless of the weight being 470kgs or 100kgs, Bravery of Chetak doesn’t change ❤️
I guess I fell into the trap of media exaggeration 🙈 Sorry

Even Maharana Pratap Ji's Ram Prasad deserves a special mention....his stubbornness instilled a thought in the mind of Akbar and his men that,Maharana Pratap isn't just another Rajput ruler,he's something beyond and a mile above all of them.

Indeed, Chetak steals the show. Because his master loved him so much, and he in turn loved his master. Today in many places, animals are mistreated. We invade, exploit their habitation(forest), and call them intruders and kill them in the name of human safety. Sad

I heard about Maharana Pratap's Story Last year when we visited City Palace Udaipur, we saw the paintings, the weapons, the utensils and our guide shared a lot about Maharana Pratap's heroics. One thing which sent chills down my spine was when he showed us a painting of maharana pratap with his sword riding a horse and the enemy, he told us that this is the painting when maharana pratap In a single whip cut the enemy and his horse into two pieces, i don't know how much of it is true but every part of me wants to believe it is true!

I wish NCERT syllabus was amended slightly to include a chapter on Maharana Pratap. He was WAY ahead of his time and kept resisting the formidable army of Akbar not fur to just valour, bravery or other intangibles bur using superior guerilla warfare strategies that we're very clever and futuristic back then.

Chetak has been ruling in my heart since the childhood stories. Something is definitely wrong with our school's curriculum. One of the largest and longest civilization to ever dwell on this planet and all we get is Babar Humayun Akbar. This country has always had its fair share of the greatest people ranging from sages to kings. But NOOOO. NCERT has to make it all condensed into the Mughal empire.
Firstly Britishers looted our country and now our own country loots us from this gem of knowledge which ultimately leads to weak roots. Weak rooted people can be swayed anywhere causing clashes and upheavals in the society.

    • @manswind3417
      @manswind3417 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

NCERT has made it "condensed" into the Mughal empire? Your knowledge of history is as bad as your english, if not worse. Perhaps you would've understood history better had you not bunked your school classes till grade 8. Throughout secondary grade there are a mere 4 chapters on Delhi Sultanate and Mughals combined, in class 7, and rest of it spans the other periods of time. Gupta, Mauryan, Cholan and Maratha empire all have been covered in depth in NCERT as well, such a shame you couldn't be arsed to read about them.
Also, it's not NCERTs fault that the Mughals ruled over the massive landscape of India for over 3 centuries. They have to document history the way it happened, not the way you wanted it to happen.

This guy is just telling this story as a folk lore. Always remember no king fights for their people... It's all about holding on to power and ready to sacrifice thousands of life for it. No soldier fights for glory alone, they do to express the freedom to ransack, murder and rape....This is what no history textbooks talk about and that's why people get orgasms listening to these war stories.
