We had that ‘ehh teacher, we had homework’ type kid.
Our german teacher had a burnout and couldn’t remember the homework he gave us, because of that we wouldn’t make it and not mention it. The teacher was always calm but would lose his shit whenever students acted up.
One day, the kid for some reason reminded him of the homework, he was literally the only one who’d made it.
The teacher got furious, screaming at us and not talking anymore until he’d checked everyone’s honework.
This resulted in the class ganging up against that one kid.
Turns out… he was depressed and struggling to make friends, that day didn’t help en most students didn’t give af since he had screwed over everyone.
Because of that he got bullied for like a month and it was the last straw. He ended up committing suicide near the end of 2019

Braces are actual HELL and im so glad I had them. They can fix a lot, but also leave you almost crying on the floor trying your HARDEST not to rip them out your mouth from the pain.
no literally, every time i get my braces fixed its HORRIBLE, sometimes my braces decide to hate me and just start hurting (like right now)
That's kinda concerning if you're on the floor in pain. When I had them it was only a 4/10 when I got my bottom braces on.

as a guy who has had braces installed before i can verify that the pain i experienced when i first got braces was the worst thing ever with how persistent and constant the agony was, but after about 2 weeks it faded away only flaring up briefly when i went in for tune up, i even had to relearn how to speak normally with these bits of steel, ceramic, and rubber in my mouth. and the feeling in my mouth after i got them removed was the strangest thing, because after nearly two whole years of having braces it felt like i had lost something, yet i also felt free. i no longer needed to annunciate every word carefully, i no longer needed to put wax in my mouth to prevent the inside of my cheeks from forming holes or callouses. but i can confidently say that the temporary pain was worth the beautiful smile i have now.😁
and i feel attacked by that audiobooks enjoyer one, their more convienient than actual books and many of the narrators have voices that are worth listening to like Michael Kramer and Stephen Rudnicky.

What you’re saying definitely has truth to it, but I don’t think it’s COMPLETELY true. I don’t doubt that what we know as the American accent was based on an English dialect that existed a long time ago, but I very much doubt it sounded exactly like it, and even if it DID, I’m willing to bet money that if you were to do research on the places and times that these pieces are set, I don’t think said dialect would be the appropriate one to use in the vast majority of cases. There might be a small minority of times where it is, but overwhelmingly it is merely the laziness and cheapness of not wanting to hire authentic voice actors.
The "friend that never liked you to begin with" types are not the worst but they can ruin friendships and relationships very easily.

I'm not sure if all ice creams include salt, but it's in most desserts. It can be excluded, but it's very important to the flavor. Chocolate chip cookies, for one, do not taste remotely the same without salt.
The salt that's called for in homemade ice cream recipes is often just combined with the ice that is put into the ice cream maker - it doesn't touch the ice cream directly.
Salt isn't bad it's literally necessary for bodily function and unless your kidneys are DEAD you just pee the excess out. Be not afraid of salt. Just drink more water.
Salt is put in the ice not in the ice cream itself in the old crank style ice cream makers. Salt makes the ice colder.

It feels impossible to avoid salt for sure in America. It's really difficult to make reduction sauces from anything you get off the shelf because all of the ingredients are so filled with salt that once you combine them they just become unbearable. Even the low sodium versions can be too much salt, because while the salt level would be fine on its own, when every ingredient in a dish has added salt, it's inevitable to end up with a salty dish.
Awhile back Chili's had a garlic butter steak. I love garlic and steak. I ended up sending it back because they used garlic salt instead of just garlic. It was like licking a salt lick

I didnt grow up in the 80s but grandparents let me read them when i was 9 and I loved them.
Trader Joe's in an effort to save money on rent in order to pass the savings on to the customers always have their stores inside a strip mall and they don't pay for parking spaces to be sectioned off specifically for Trader Joe's customers either so if you want to go to one you have customers trying to find a parking spot for TJ's in a parking lot that's shared with like 5 or 6 other stores.

I’m a girl gamer and I mostly play JRPGs but it’s true that I’ve collectively sunk thousands of hours into The Sims 2,3 and 4. Approximately 300 hours on the 4th before it got completely, insufferably boring though 😅
I don't know if I'd call myself a "girl gamer" since I don't really play that much, but I'm currently on a Sims 4 binge. My goal is to fill up every single empty lot in the game including all of Newcrest as well as renovating a few buildings. My current projects are turning Judith Ward's ugly ass mansion into an old oriental glamour-style rental and making a "university" focused on digital arts and media.
Sims 2 was the best in life simulation and that's not even the nostalgia talking just watch this one TH-camrs video on things you can do in sims 2 that you can't do in sims 3 or 4

I've never really understood the bit of being angry at a student who asks if there's homework. If I was expecting homework, and I don't hear about homework, I was thinking:
1: "I missed the teacher talking about the homework. If I don't ask about it, I won't be able to do it, and I'll get a zero"
2: "The teacher forgot to mention it, but would never believe people claiming it wasn't assigned. If I don't ask about it, I'll get a zero"

I have a junk drawer in my room and it’s contents are the following: 4 misc knives, 2 screwdrivers, 3 flashlights and a headlamp (none of them work), a bunch of dead batteries, a bunch of charged batteries, an unopened pack of AAAs, various chargers of pretty much every kind that has ever existed (including the OLD old USBs from the 80s), a random half of a pair of scissors, various forms of tape, an old alarm clock, a few broken Lego sets, several pairs of earbuds (most don’t work), a random mouse and keyboard from the 2000s, a broken Xbox controller, a broken iPad, a small hammer, like ten random tiny wrenches, a couple of VHS tapes, an old Fastline catalog from like 2012, two old pairs of glasses, an empty soda can, like four old power banks, a box cutter, a pair of safety glasses, a mini lantern, some fish tank filters that didn’t fit, some BBs, a can of Cajun peanuts, an old can of Axe, some antiseptic spray, a couple of bandaids, a random Manila folder, some furniture polish, and various mechanical mechanical parts from unknown machinery.

OO interesting you mentioned Chernobyl series. Most of it was filmed in Lithuania, since we have a decommissioned ☢Power Plant that looks like the one in Ukraine and the houses where the workers lived. Also, if you want to film a movie in a very forested place, Lithuania is the cheaper country for a mi devil type movie like the TV series Robin Hood was also filmed in Lithuanian Forests. It's amazing how many famous actors and references in American movies and TV series are Lithuanian. The Lithuanian immigrant kids celebs starter pack: William Shatner, Pink, Super man Creator, Johnny Unitas and Charles Bronson.
The video game one hits really hard with Scarlet and Violet. Because at the end of the day, my rating for a game is based on how I enjoy it. Are the glitches and graphical issues annoying? Yes. There's tons of unpolished edges, some of which ruin experiences such as Tera Raids.
At the same time, this game has some of the best story, music (Not just Toby Fox, I love him and he had a major part, but the whole team deserves praise), and design. I love the changes made so that new players can get into competitive with much more ease. If you take a second to slow down and interact with Pokemon, there's so much love put into the details. And not saying details, but that ending was bold and wonderful.
So... Yeah. It's a mixed bag. I'm frustrated about quality issues, but I understand that the team was rushed. If you can't enjoy a game with graphical bugs, I'm not going to recommend it. And guess what? That's okay. No video game will appeal to all audiences.

Hey, nice to see I'm not the only one with misophonia (and autism? I assume from your username) here. Some burps are horrific, but my worst trigger is chewing, with open mouth. And my dad does that everyday. I have to eat in my room or have headphones on with audio playing.

@@iclynnx Burps count? Thank you for this insight, I think you may have just solved a mystery for me. I have very strong reactions to burps and farts and have never known why it bothers me so intensely that sometimes entire movies or tv shows are ruined for me by just one or two burp/fart gags, and sometimes I have trouble breathing or calming down if I hear one of those sounds. I'm also easily agitated by repeating sounds in general as well, I don't know if that is related or not. Anyway, I think I'm going to look into misophonia more and see if I have it and if I can get any help or learn any coping methods. Thanks again and I hope you have a good week/weekend. :)
