I rarely come across a reviewer I immediately like, but there is something honest and humane about you. Keep it up, kind sir. I've done a lot of research and I am definitely buying this bike withing 2 years. Can't wait to see the full review of the 2021 updated model.

I am Australian and don't have any trouble understanding the Scottish accent. A lot of people used to comment about Steve Farrell's monotone commentary but I found him funny. I got the dry humour. I'm not in the market for a 125 but I enjoyed this review. It's a cracking looking little bike and Jesus if it can do 130kph pinned that is pretty bloody good for a single cylinder 125.
We have different rules here in Australia where a learner can ride up to 660cc as long as the power to weight ratio is not exceeded. That gives the opportunity for a big bloke starting out being able to ride a bike that doesn't make him look like a pumpkin sitting on a pea.
For the size of the market down under we are spoiled for choice hence I doubt if the 125 will be a big seller here.

Frank Perham Yeah, Australians are Scotts upside down ;)
PS. And the upside down forks work like a normal forks in Oz hehe

The only decent review of this bike out there. Thank you. I've been looking for a review to help me decide what my first bike should be and this has convinced me that the CB125R is top of the list. Still have more looking to do but this looks amazing and seems like you guys agree too.

An excellent review, informative and very helpful. And I find your accent easy to understand!

Visordown reviews have been hit and miss recently, but I enjoyed this review. No problem with the Scottish accent, and Alan is an engaging reviewer.
We all understand that a 125 is not the same as a Hyabusa, so no need to compare it to more powerful bikes. We get it. It would be useful to know what the competition is, and who might be in the market for this.
I have to say that I really like the look of it, and would be interested if I was 25 years younger!

good for learners, commuters and people who like to get 130 miles out of a gallon of fuel. people like me

completely agree. We know it's a 125cc we don't need to be told it's not as fast as a 1000cc. if you're reviewing this video it's because you're in the market for a 125 haha. Personally I have this bike just to commute to work and occasionally go across the Pennines so it's perfect for both those things.

Yeu yaanks nee'tae sor'tae oot. The gentleman in question spoke with a mild Glaswegian accent, perfectly understandable to anybody familiar with the language of the British isles, or to put it another way, English. As it stands I really enjoyed the review, found it informative and entertaining, right down to the bit about racing lorries up the M40 hill, been there, done that. The bike looks okay though, not sure I'd want to fork out nearly four grand for it but given it's mpg figures it becomes tempting.

Why do you feel the need to mention the lack of power so often? Its a 125 made for learner riders... not supposed to be powerful.

Can't wait to raid dis bake for mails and males! Seriously: great review mate. Factual, honest, as little subjectivity as possible. Keep it up. I love your reviews.

You see a lot of comparison with other 125s about which one is the best, I'm sure they are all great . I personally think the KTM duke looks like it has been designed for twelve year old. The Honda cb 125 looks a much more mature bike you won't feel embarrassed walking back too.

Can't understand why reviewers go on about power you know what you are going to get with a 125 buy the way I have done 400 miles in a day with time to spare that's how you get somewhere on one .

No problem with the accent...... Just all the people at review sites in UK like this. In all the places I've been the UK bikers are the worst. Comments like "until you get a proper bike" when looking at small capacity bikes really irritate me. The speed limit in UK is 70 mph or about 110 kph. This does that and a bit more. Also it is not good road skill to go from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds from traffic lights. If you want to do that or top out at 130 mph or above get a bike for track days and keep off the roads. Having expert reviews condoning illegal riding is just pathetic.

Yeah i get a lot of that, people expect me to want a bigger bike than a 125.. Ive been happily riding my cbf125 for 5 years straight, yet people still ask when im getting a 600cc or higher...

Cue lots of comments from whiney bellends about how they can’t understand the Scots accent... As a great man once said, the universe is under no obligation to make sense to you, and neither are the Scottish :)

    • @jeroendenhertog4975

I'm English, ( North West ), I really like the Scottish accent and believe they make the best orritors. They make the best comedians also. You're right, if you can't understand what they are saying then that's your problem and you should deal with it.

Not liking the way he talks about the power, it's a 125 bud, not a friggin' 1000!
Besides, just by looking at the vid this 125 seems quite good on the performance.

Use those consonants, it's all vowels with this dude. LOL. I can understand him mostly, but he's also mumbling and the mic isn't great. It's not the accent, it's this guy mumbling that makes it so hard to follow.
