Hi David, how did you become so important in terms of reselling and what it allowed you to ''scale-out'' your business along with your Ferrari collection? many thanks best
Thankyou David. Inspiring, and so happy that your Sincerity and perseverance communicated in the way you described. Eye contact is so important for authentic communication. Warmest regards. :)
a lot of people have the belief that it takes a certain level of dishonesty to reach your goals. this is another honest man with integrity that is exactly where he wanted to be.
OK, speaking as an old salesman for 44 years, the most important part of this video is at the end, and David you are so right about the importance of direct personal contact for success. I don't care where the technology goes in the future, this will always be the case for human beings. Beautiful store, but I would never rest my elbow on the fender of my 288 GTO even if it's Kevlar!
I love stories like this! Truly inspirational and goes to show the American Dream is alive and well. Hard work, vision and perseverance really do pay off. Thank you for sharing your story.
I came here form Doug's video of Ferrari SF90. Wow. What an inspirational story. After all the success you still seem humble, sincere and honest. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you Mr Lee for taking the time to make this film. Your message about your five points strongly resonated with me. I am an Australian living in Lucerne Switzerland and I feel very strongly that through hard work, vision and persistence, the opportunity will show itself to me at the moment that it is meant to. It has been great to watch through your social media an example of what I aspire to be. I am very grateful to you and others like you, who show that it is very realistically possible to aim high and achieve it. Once again, Thank You.
It’s so hard to find genuine business advice and stories from those who did it themselves. As a fellow entrepreneur with a growing business, I appreciate your insights. Thanks!
Mr. Lee, you earned it…standing tall upon your Father’s wholesale legacy and I’m quite sure they noticed your persistence coming back on the hour, every hour, for multiple years. You’re the personification of integrity and work ethic paying off and as others have mentioned you’re remarkably humble. I’ve always looked forward to your appearances on Jay Leno’s channel and I’m glad I now have the opportunity to be a new subscriber on yours. Appreciatively…
That’s how I got my first job as a kid everyday I asked Jack are you hiring. And finally after 6 months of asking everyday he said I’ll hire you if you just stop asking lol. We became family he was a great human being and he said I was his best employee. Never give up on what you want no matter what no is never an option in my world it’s just a diversion for a yes.
The company I work for, Proterra, here in Walnut, CA, recently went IPO. David, yours is a very inspirational story. You didn’t take shortcuts or get on the shady deal side. Persistence, Integrity, Conviction, and Honesty. No question you deserve your successes, David. I see your Rowland Heights/Walnut location all the time traveling down 60. Cheers to you!
David, this is a fantastic story. I could just picture what you went through and the disappointment post each European trip. I could also just picture you in disbelief when the offer was officially made. That is a true testimony to integrity and persistence! Great video! I have subscribed and looking forward to great videos like this one in the future.
You had a clear vision and you were willing to go the extra mile to make it happen. Success is about making the right trade offs in your sacrifices to achieve your goals. Well done David 👍
David, you and I share many similarities. We’re the same age, and our fathers started their businesses in 1965. Both of us started young with our fathers in business and then changed and vastly expanded the companies. As well, we both dreamed in the mid 80’s about becoming successful enough to buy a 288. I sacrificed, worked hard and developed my company over the years, to a point where I sold it last year to a multibillion dollar international conglomerate. Like you, I have built a collection of cars, including several Ferrari’s. Cheers to your success🍻
In life we make life changing choices. Working hard to make your place can far exceed any expectations, I am so happy for you. "We need more people like you in this world!"
Everyone needs to really need to pay attention to what this man is saying , because it not just story , it’s how many times he tried and never gave up until what he wanted came through . Goals , vision and taking the necessary action , even when things didn’t go as planned it was his vision “ a Rolex dealer , an didn’t give up until it was reality. I love that story and more people need to hear , like my mentor told me “ you speak your reality into existence.
It's never too late man. With time and effort you can still be really successful and a good father. Just remember to always put your family's priority first, and falling back to ground zero is better than falling below your starting point.
David! I'm not sure if you remember me, but I ran into you on my way out of 101Noodle Express on Baldwin Ave. a few years ago. I asked you if you brought your black Dino... my brother has a yellow Dino as a daily driver and we'd love the opportunity to check out your collection, especially your black Dino! I'd also love to see your jewelry store too cause I'm a watch guy as well as a car guy. Hope to hear back from you! Take care. Great story too!

That was an amazing story!!! Often people see the fruits of labor but, never see the years of hard work that one has put in to achieve their success. Thanks for sharing your story David!
Great hearing your story. Dealing face to face is the best way to deal with someone. I could do some deals just as easily online but if I am selling something or myself I jump on a plane and meet the person face to face. I fly to LA, NY, PARIS, anywhere and meet them. They always appreciate it and after that internet is fine. Trust is a big factor and the best way to get that is looking into someone's eyes.
Thank you, David! You show us the cars as inspiration, but more importantly, give nuggets of wisdom on how we can also get to our own dreams. Truly inspiring that you found the right factors during the recession! Now that we're in a similar world situation, what can we look out for to make the most out of it like you did? I'm also a 2nd gen in our family business, by the way.
What a great thing to be able to hear that story first hand. I came here for a Ferrari owners perspective, a real one, and had a class on work ethics and entrepreneurship. It totally deconstructed my prejudice. Also, the way he talks of the cars as an investment, one can see he has both feet grounded up. What a gem of a channel.
Hearing stories like this warm my heart. It’s very hard to put yourself out there and seek opportunity, in an ethical way, especially these days. I also love that the vision was around 1 car, and look where the skills you developed got you. I’m sure that your father & family is beyond proud of you, amazing story David. Looking forward to learning more as a new subscriber.
Hey David, I'm really happy to see you building you're own youtube channel after seeing you on Jay Leno's Garage, Doug DeMuro, and other youtube channels. You're putting out great, unique content and I really enjoyed the videos I've seen so far. Especially this video, a lot of car guys like myself are very interested in learning how you became successful and are able to build such an amazing collection of cars. Also, I made some comments on a video you were in. It's been a while and I cant remember if it was one of your youtube videos or on Instagram, but I mentioned the audio quality and said that it was hard to hear you. I'm glad you didn't take that the wrong way and accepted it as constructive criticism as I wasn't trying to be rude, and you even replied and said that you would try to do a better job going forward. Your improvements are really showing in your newer content. I know you're a very busy guy, but if you keep uploading videos on a regular basis your social media will surely grow.
I think most people underestimate how much hard work is needed to run a business. 7 days . Early mornings late night for years. Now, thats the level of discipline and consistency it took. The day to day repetition will kill most people
Thanks David. I always thought your business was so easy all along the way. I never once thought you had any challenges or had to struggle but the story with the Rolex appointments really brings it back to reality.
Thanks David. Your story is truly inspiring, I could feel the emotion and feeling when you talked about your trip in Switzerland. Thanks for your reminder, many people give up easily, but you just need to work hard, with perseverance and with integrity.
I just want to say thank you for this. Your story is inspiring! I just bought one of my dream cars 4 days ago. It's a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance, not anything like your ferraris, but you have to start somewhere! Self made here, my parents basically told me I was on my own at 16. I love watching your videos and gathering inspiration from how down to earth you are.

Love your story David Lee. It is very inspiring the biggest takeaway for me is perseverance which is something I’m trying to work on. I said I’m going to get myself a Rolex when I graduate and I’m getting it from your store.
To be honest I’m not here for the Ferraris I’m here to learn everything that I can get from David Lee’s business success and progress through life. OK, the Ferraris is a plus 😎

David so grateful for you sharing your story. I worked for many years for a magazine called The Robb Report - you might be familiar with it. While I have moved on to pursue my own passions at this point in my life, one of the most interesting aspects of my job at Robb Report was learning about the individuals behind the business. It's people like yourself that taught me to pursue my passion with integrity, humility, and perseverance. Thank you again and wishing you continue success.
Awesome story, really inspiring and helps to reflect on how much work you put into it. Really nice to hear someone as accomplished as you sharing your ideas. To anyone who says its luck, you just laid out the most important factor and is that you kept on trying no matter how hard. More videos like this would be great!! Hard work, Discipline, and perseverance. Good and sound guidance and a wonderful role model Dad, can beat that. Is a model that make you make great choices in life, also follow your dad footsteps and having passion for what you do is an amazing experience. Thanks David..
That’s awesome, Mr. Lee! Seems like your discipline, hard work, and goals have helped you become a success. I appreciate you sharing your story. Absolutely enjoy your car collection and hope to see an example at any of the future shows. Good day!
The best part of the story is how you went all the way to Switzerland to speak to Rolex and got shut out the whole time, most people would have went home and never tried again, Instead you went home kept working hard and went back to Basel the next year to try again with no guarantee of meeting anyone. That’s perseverance and hard work in a nutshell and an example of what it takes to become super successful. I’m a watch guy as well and a big fan of Rolex, my first Rolex was a 114060 No-Date Submariner and I literally wear it every day as a reminder to keep working hard and focusing on my goals. What are your thoughts on the new Submariner line? I think the new Kermit is going to be a big seller!! If you ever get one into the store I’d love the opportunity be able to buy it, I’m not a Rolex VIP so I’ll be waitlisted for the next 5 years if I try and buy one. Thanks for the videos and congrats on all your hard/well earned success. Chris
Thank you for this great insight into how you built up your business and worked hard to become successful! We need more positive and inspirational videos like this today to show people that it can be done! All you need is a vision and drive to make it happen. America is truly the land of opportunity 🇺🇸

If you ever get one into the store I’d love the opportunity be able to buy it, I’m not a Rolex VIP so I’ll be waitlisted for the next 5 years if I try and buy one.
Thanks for the videos and congrats on all your hard/well earned success. Chris

@@ferraricollectordavidlee if I could ask you a question? What do you think of the Swiss micro brands? I recently got a LIV watch and really love the look and quality of the watch, with Swiss movement. Also made in limited runs.
