I just start playing Swtor again after 5 years. Your videos have helped me get me back into the game. Watching all of your videos helps me get caught up
i dont play since 4 years as well, i remember back then the fleet was crowded and a lot of people asking for ops and quests, i came back 1-2 years later and it was all dead. How is it now? is it worth to come back? i think about it for long but idk the panorama.
@@fahik surprsingly when i was jedi knight there was alot of starter players (like me) on coruscant along with veteran players helping along taking out the world boss yestersay. The community was great and very patient for everyone to make it (on the light side, my sith juggernaut on the other hand had jerks who made fun of players for being low levels in the starter areas and only accepted veterans.) Then again the Sith are are bunch of jerks anyway lol

very cool set at 3:03, really like the purple/black dye with that armor set + that species so u dont need to wear helmet or mask so it doesnt look awkward.
Gearing in SWTOR 6.0: 1) Do Onderon and Mek-Sha main storyline on your first character. This gives you a full set of 268 gear. The finale in the new FP will give you your first upgrades right away. 2) Ignore stats until you have 306 gear. It doesn't matter. What matters is your gear item rating. 3) Do the weekly for veteran flash points. This means 5 flash points. Keep equipping anything that is higher rating. Ignore swapping mods till 306 also. Just upgrade to higher ratings whatever it is. 4) Since all new gear is legacy bound put a complete set with the highest gear rating in your legacy storage after doing the weekly. 5) Do the weekly for veteran flashpoints on your next level 75 character using the set of gear you have put in your legacy bank (step 4) 6) Rinse and repeat step 4 and 5 till you are out of toons. Just keep upping your best set and send it around. 7) Do conquest as well to get loot crates. Make sure to open those crates with your best gear on. Open any crates with your best gear that you have at that moment in essence. 8) Once you have a full set of 306 gear send doubles to the next character etc until they all have 306 gear. This is where you want to make sure they have the right stats at least. 9) Continue doing content to get tech fragments and credits to buy set bonus pieces. That's where mods starts to matter and you want to start ripping out 306 mods to add into your set bonus gear. Ripping mods (armorings, mods and enhancements) costs almost 100k each time so be careful. Sidenote: Of course as soon as you have over 3k tech fragments at any time during this process you want to buy a set bonus piece since the max you can hold is 5k tech fragments. Just don't worry about equipping them or modding them till you have 306 mods to put in them. Veteran FPs is the fastest way and you'll find that even on random (you want that for the extra reward crate) you will end up in Hammer Station a lot but that is a very fast one and people will select it when they have no alts (left) and completed the weekly.

Not yet played but heard 3k tech fragment and 1 million credit is needed for the 306 item to buy, if true save up the money too, feed the piggy bank, prepare for it. EDIT: the price is seen in the video too so yeah....

I can’t believe how much has changed! I’m a returning player from back when swotr first started and it’s really turned into a great online rpg. How is it for multiplayer content?
You make the game so much easier and fun again. I played Swtor way back when it was just the first expansion. But i got tired and frustrated with playing against the grain of serious and experienced mmo players. Often i experienced my team bailing on pvp or to do a raid, they would get impatient becuz i didnt know terms like cc or aoe. Your videos make me want to join again. Damn those WoW players
I hate that the game encourages SPEED-GRINDING then mixes those players in with people just trying to enjoy BioWare's immersion and story-telling talent
Great video SWTORISTA, I definitely need to gear up because I'm still using the same blaster and truncheon from Rogue One. They charge me to much to gear up on Battlefront 2 and SWGOH!!!!

I highly recommend getting a generic DPS set that an be used by any class up to 306 first running master mode flash points; don't worry about a set bonus, or use a set bonus any class can benefit from. If you focus on a single toon to begin with, you can easily get to 306 gear within a week. Also, if you need that one or two pieces of 306 (armor/mod/enhancement/gear), go to the random vendor in the supply section. I have found that with your loot discipline set, you will get iLVL gear/mods equal better than your current overall rating. Be ware tho, if you are in mostly 300+ with one piece at 268-290, your overall gear rating will be greatly reduce and you will get something that is less than 300. ALWAYS buy from this vender with all you best gear on, even if the gear doesn't match your discipline. Once you have this generic set, start building tank and healing sets by selecting the loot discipline as explained in the video. PS) Operations and Renown boxes are not as efficient as running MM FPs for getting gear and Tech Fragments. If you want to run FPs as a tank in DPS gear, don't do MMs, you are likely to end up on ignore lists and get kicked from the group. Instead run Veteran FPs or run with friends/guildies. (A healer in DPS gear isn't going to suffer like a tank in DPS gear.)
Having done this, now as I get an alt to 75, I throw on the generic set and the alt will have it's own generic 306 set in 2-3 hours just running 6-8 MM FPs.
They should take note from WoW. Right now there is a nice catch up mechanic in WoW. You can purchase account bound items, which upon use create a piece of gear for the class and spec you used that item on. You really need just one advanced character, and then can gear up as many alts as you want, regardless of class and spec.
Absolut great this video 👍👍👍 Helped me to figure how I gonna get item gear with my other characters before they reach lvl 75 or that has hit lvl 75, while roaming around with my main char 😅😅😅 even my heal hunter can't wear from a sith item 🤣🤣🤣. Though the enhancements mode, what you have here in this video mentioned is helpful. Keep it up!
I agree there is so much gear! It's made that way so veteran players have choices. If you're not doing hard content though, the good news is you can almost ignore gearing.
i started playing with Onslaught and it found it very simple, equip if theres a green arrow, repeat til you IR 306, then start looking into Tacticals and Sets, til then you have somewhat of an idea whats what. Compared to alot of other mmos its very easy and new player friendly.

Hey love the video. As always it was very insightful. I have my legacy bank full of gear for my alts anything from weapons,mod,armor,enchants,and gear. I have it this way on 2 sever i use my 75's to gear my lower ones since i have a few i am not running in unslaught yet this way they are geared when i get there.

Anyway you have a hot bar for your abilities and I was wondering how do you swap the order of them if they are on hotbar 2 and 3 to place them in 1. If that makes sense
Hey welcome to the game! To move the actual hotbars, press ESC -> user interface then you can drag them around To add abilities to a different bar, click the tiny lock symbol on your main quickbar to unlock it. Then you can drag the abilities around. Or press P and drag from the abilities panel
Some stuff for Twilek just hides the hood automatically. Some headpieces also auto hide the hood. I can't remember what I have on for this vid tho sorry.
You start at level 1 doing the story from the launch of the game. When you are done that, you do the story of the first expanaion, then the second, etc. The expansion stories are chronological .

Hey Gioun welcome back to the game! The player base is really healthy right now due to the expansion last month. As for what class and whether you should swap around, it's totally up to you. Some players stick to one, others jump around a lot. All classes can be used just fine for all content.

I think they fixed the elevator... From what I hear in old reviews, elevators were notoriously buggy... I took a screenshot of the crafting menu failing at basic math a couple days ago... Like _REALLY_ basic math...
If you mean compared to launch, there's not new leveling quests, BUT the leveling experience has changed a lot. It's easier to get around with speeders and you can skip all the side missions if you want.
So even though I chose the belt apply don't breath I thought maybe it would give me a DPS from this but it actually gives me a defensive bonus isn't that strange so I guess you were right don't pick it because the name is cool haha lesson learned but I'm having fun making gear
I just started my SWTOR journey! And I would really love some advice, for the new guy, me! I choose the empire operative class and so far enjoying it. 😄
Push through the class story until you get your personal starship; this can be done in an hour if you space-bar through cutscenes, up to 3 hours if you watch everything and take your time). After that there are several options. 1) Heroics; start with heroics on the starter planets and go planet by planet. 2) Veteran FPs and (mini FP, I forget what they are called ATM), que for and run all you can. If you don't like some, you can always filter those out. 3) Warzones. Planet story arcs reward with XP boosts, and don't typically take very long to do, (45-90 minutes depending on the planet and if you watch the cutscenes or space bar through). Sticking to class story is going to be the slowest method and you don't get gear. Something you do get when running heroics and flash points. (I don't know is warzones drop gear because I do not level that way.) With any path you choose, grouping with friends and guildies will mean more XP and faster leveling.
@@Swtorista Well, when you've seen every storyline multiple times, especially the stories that start after the class stories end, getting to 75 to run operations becomes the goal.
@@CondolentPizza8 You'll also benefit from joining an active guild with plenty of members. Guilds with enough active members get a bonus to their XP gains as well.

I'm a newer fella at this game. Only halfway through the Sith Warrior storyline. (God damn you Baras.) Story's shaping up to be real good and I was wondering, anybody think I should buy the Expansions? Mainly focusing on the two big fellers. Also, if there's any great Flashpoints or other story stuff that's lore rich I'd love that too.

While i was gearing and lvling I came across some players that were able to use taxi paths and go to other sections of maps that I was unable to go to. I remember being able to go to these area in the past before my characters were "rolled back" a few years ago. I know there are exclusive areas to only Jedi, troopers, bounty hunters and etc., these were not those. One example, I was on my Defensive (tank) Jedi and the other Jedi in the flashpoint group went an entire different path where the rest of the group was unable to go. Has Starwars "closed" parts of SWTOR?
Hmm.... you might be thinking about the Flashpoint paths that players can open with crafting skills - they are not by class, but if you have the correct crew skill to the correct level. Example Hammer Station has a scavenging one that makes a machine blow up a hole in the wall you can use to bypass some enemies.
@Swtorista No, I don't think it was that. We would have been able to go there too. I've never actually seen that entrance or bypass on Hammer Station before. My crafting and crew skills hasn't all ways been on par with the Flashpoint I'm doing, so that may be why I never have.
You could make a lvl 1 character, use Master's Datacrons to auto level to 70, and then once you reach 75 you could do the main storyline and get this endgame gear, if that's what you are asking
I know right! I saw that too and my eyes popped out of my head. I'm not a big endgamer so I only have about 3mil in my legacy bank. Now I feel like I need to farm some creds LOL.

Even if a new player feels shy and doesn't want to type as their character yet, acknowledge their presence in what you type and encourage them to speak if they want to. 2) make at least a little plan or reason for people to "be there" for your roleplay event/night. It can be a distress call, a party invitation, an assignment, a tumor, etc. Try and share this beforehand and encourage people to figure out why their character is coming beforehand. Ex if it's a distress call, I can decide to bring my Noble Jedi to save them, or my hungry smuggler to take advantage... But if I showed up on my sith without knowing it was a distress call beforehand, I might struggle to "fit in" to the story. 3) be flexible!! If your roleplay members want to a different direction than what you planned, it's ok! Also there's no right or wrong system - you can use /roll to determine outcomes like in dungeons or dragons or just decide without chance as the roleplay narrator/leader. The best system is the one that works for your group. We have used many methods over time and all were fun. Good luck!!!

It's easy to respec, it would just be better if it remembered your bars and talents. But really there are only 4 abilities that change. I usually take a shot of the screen with my phone, both bars and talents... then I can switch quite quickly. But I agree it is a bit of a pain.
1.50 what is a name of this set? A have parts of it from drop but its named senators robes or something and its not an adaptive armor. Can i buy or farm somwhere this one in 1.50 to get it?
I have a question: is the 258 stuff I had before the same as before, or was it downgraded? I mean, does it feel as powerful as it was, or did everything get scaled down to avoid making the 300+ gear feel overpowered?
It really depends what type of content you are running. When you do the new storyline you'll get automatically given 268 gear so don't stress about having to earn new stuff :)

The transferring of high item lvl drops onto alts reminds me a lot of how Destiny 2 alt leveling works (which is a good thing, speeds up progression)

got legacy stash tabs full of items with slotted mods for space efficiency.
1 for dps/heal gear, and 1 for tank gear.

They should take note from WoW. Right now there is a nice catch up mechanic in WoW. You can purchase account bound items, which upon use create a piece of gear for the class and spec you used that item on. You really need just one advanced character, and then can gear up as many alts as you want, regardless of class and spec.
I play all 8 classes. So this will help tons.

Helped me to figure how I gonna get item gear with my other characters before they reach lvl 75 or that has hit lvl 75, while roaming around with my main char 😅😅😅 even my heal hunter can't wear from a sith item 🤣🤣🤣. Though the enhancements mode, what you have here in this video mentioned is helpful. Keep it up!

As a new player , you feel overwhelmed with choices to make with gear and stats on gear.
I agree there is so much gear! It's made that way so veteran players have choices. If you're not doing hard content though, the good news is you can almost ignore gearing.
Stick with it, it makes more sense when you get to max level.
i started playing with Onslaught and it found it very simple, equip if theres a green arrow, repeat til you IR 306, then start looking into Tacticals and Sets, til then you have somewhat of an idea whats what.
Compared to alot of other mmos its very easy and new player friendly.

Hey love the video. As always it was very insightful. I have my legacy bank full of gear for my alts anything from weapons,mod,armor,enchants,and gear. I have it this way on 2 sever i use my 75's to gear my lower ones since i have a few i am not running in unslaught yet this way they are geared when i get there.

Anyway you have a hot bar for your abilities and I was wondering how do you swap the order of them if they are on hotbar 2 and 3 to place them in 1. If that makes sense

To move the actual hotbars, press ESC -> user interface then you can drag them around
To add abilities to a different bar, click the tiny lock symbol on your main quickbar to unlock it. Then you can drag the abilities around. Or press P and drag from the abilities panel

Some stuff for Twilek just hides the hood automatically. Some headpieces also auto hide the hood. I can't remember what I have on for this vid tho sorry.
In SWTOR, do you get to experience the stories of past expansions? Or just the current expansion?
Yeah! You can do all the past ones too, it adds up to a lot of story content.

You start at level 1 doing the story from the launch of the game. When you are done that, you do the story of the first expanaion, then the second, etc. The expansion stories are chronological .

Hey Gioun welcome back to the game! The player base is really healthy right now due to the expansion last month.
As for what class and whether you should swap around, it's totally up to you. Some players stick to one, others jump around a lot. All classes can be used just fine for all content.

Luckily, most of the guides for 5.0 are still mostly valid, check mmobits.com and vulkk com for class guides for 6.0 :)

I think they fixed the elevator...
From what I hear in old reviews, elevators were notoriously buggy...
I took a screenshot of the crafting menu failing at basic math a couple days ago...

If you mean compared to launch, there's not new leveling quests, BUT the leveling experience has changed a lot. It's easier to get around with speeders and you can skip all the side missions if you want.

No. You can not play the last three expansions free.

Haha! My tip is just enjoy playing there's no need to rush :)
Push through the class story until you get your personal starship; this can be done in an hour if you space-bar through cutscenes, up to 3 hours if you watch everything and take your time).
After that there are several options.
1) Heroics; start with heroics on the starter planets and go planet by planet.
2) Veteran FPs and (mini FP, I forget what they are called ATM), que for and run all you can. If you don't like some, you can always filter those out.
3) Warzones.
Planet story arcs reward with XP boosts, and don't typically take very long to do, (45-90 minutes depending on the planet and if you watch the cutscenes or space bar through).
Sticking to class story is going to be the slowest method and you don't get gear. Something you do get when running heroics and flash points. (I don't know is warzones drop gear because I do not level that way.)
With any path you choose, grouping with friends and guildies will mean more XP and faster leveling.
@@Swtorista Well, when you've seen every storyline multiple times, especially the stories that start after the class stories end, getting to 75 to run operations becomes the goal.

I'm a newer fella at this game. Only halfway through the Sith Warrior storyline. (God damn you Baras.) Story's shaping up to be real good and I was wondering, anybody think I should buy the Expansions? Mainly focusing on the two big fellers. Also, if there's any great Flashpoints or other story stuff that's lore rich I'd love that too.

Oh, Gods. _Now_ I see this. ...all those hours getting crap loot thinking it was merely my regular RNG-unluck.
While i was gearing and lvling I came across some players that were able to use taxi paths and go to other sections of maps that I was unable to go to. I remember being able to go to these area in the past before my characters were "rolled back" a few years ago. I know there are exclusive areas to only Jedi, troopers, bounty hunters and etc., these were not those. One example, I was on my Defensive (tank) Jedi and the other Jedi in the flashpoint group went an entire different path where the rest of the group was unable to go. Has Starwars "closed" parts of SWTOR?
Hmm.... you might be thinking about the Flashpoint paths that players can open with crafting skills - they are not by class, but if you have the correct crew skill to the correct level. Example Hammer Station has a scavenging one that makes a machine blow up a hole in the wall you can use to bypass some enemies.
@Swtorista No, I don't think it was that. We would have been able to go there too. I've never actually seen that entrance or bypass on Hammer Station before. My crafting and crew skills hasn't all ways been on par with the Flashpoint I'm doing, so that may be why I never have.
Really useful for us players who can't stick can't stick to one character and love to bounce around 😂😂

No. Only level 75.
You could make a lvl 1 character, use Master's Datacrons to auto level to 70, and then once you reach 75 you could do the main storyline and get this endgame gear, if that's what you are asking
So no gear until Lv 75 and if i want to make a new character and play the old story that i love, i should not care too much about gear until i'm 75

Here's my tips
1) try really hard to make everyone feel included. Even if a new player feels shy and doesn't want to type as their character yet, acknowledge their presence in what you type and encourage them to speak if they want to.
2) make at least a little plan or reason for people to "be there" for your roleplay event/night. It can be a distress call, a party invitation, an assignment, a tumor, etc. Try and share this beforehand and encourage people to figure out why their character is coming beforehand. Ex if it's a distress call, I can decide to bring my Noble Jedi to save them, or my hungry smuggler to take advantage... But if I showed up on my sith without knowing it was a distress call beforehand, I might struggle to "fit in" to the story.
3) be flexible!! If your roleplay members want to a different direction than what you planned, it's ok! Also there's no right or wrong system - you can use /roll to determine outcomes like in dungeons or dragons or just decide without chance as the roleplay narrator/leader. The best system is the one that works for your group. We have used many methods over time and all were fun.

So what's the quickest way a solo player can gain tech fragment ?
I would guess the quickest way is solo Flashpoints and conquest.
Now Bioware needs to add easy respecing
It's easy to respec, it would just be better if it remembered your bars and talents. But really there are only 4 abilities that change. I usually take a shot of the screen with my phone, both bars and talents... then I can switch quite quickly. But I agree it is a bit of a pain.

I have a question: is the 258 stuff I had before the same as before, or was it downgraded? I mean, does it feel as powerful as it was, or did everything get scaled down to avoid making the 300+ gear feel overpowered?
It really depends what type of content you are running. When you do the new storyline you'll get automatically given 268 gear so don't stress about having to earn new stuff :)
