- Formula 1 is a sport in which you can either sink or swim. Trying new methods can sometimes be a genius move, but often it’s best to stick to the status quo. One team in the modern era tried some new ideas, which ultimately didn’t pay off, but through clever investment and sheer force of will were able to endure much longer than their main rivals. This is the story of Virgin Racing.

Great video, Peter! Showing your excellent thorough research of every detail during a teams lifespan. Bristol Zoo was actually my local zoo, so its cool to see they had some involvement in F1. Unfortunately, they went through tough financial times and shut down. Also funny as Jerome like Bruno would find himself in a Lotus.

39:13 I think that "Quick" is not Quick Logistics but just Quick, a Belgian fast food chain which is also available in France and a couple other countries. That's the same logo and it appeared the same year Marussia/Virgin had a Belgian driver so that should be it.

Hi Peter, this isn’t really to do with this video, but thank you for being based and real about Yuki Tsunoda’s PrObLeMaTiC radio message at the Austrian GP. I too was diagnosed with Asperger’s in the early 2000s and wasn’t offended in the slightest. Don’t listen to the woke wet wipes of F1 Twitter or let them get you down. In fact, Yuki should do it again 😂
Branson was quite disgusting really, thought he could be Ross Brawn.
