I've been following this situation on multiple big youtube channels. I've yet to see any transphobia AT ALL. Like literally none. Not a single comment. Mind you, I don't spend 5min scrolling to the bottom of the comments section. But youtube has way more sane and level-headed people than Twitter. For some context on Shadman at the time: he was insanely normalized back then. Due to being friends with a bunch of popular content creators (for example, a LOT of the ex-Newground people, like the OneyPlays group) known for their edgy humour, and being popular during the internet's "edgy phase", where people like Idubbz, Leafy, h3h3, and even Pewdiepie (all very influential TH-camrs at the time) were slinging slurs left and right, a lot of the art he did was just excused as "an edgy joke". The shit he did with drawing actual fucking real life children was completely inexcusable though, fuck that guy and thank god he's in jail.

A lot of these situations seem to stem from minors working for influencers online. With that and all of the stuff that has gone down with kids doing programming work. I feel like we as a society should put a lot more focus on preventing or monotering online child labour.

I really appreciate you covering this from your POV in a levelheaded manner, while also specifying that Ava being transgender has *no* bearing to the stuff they have done or the allegations. I'm not familiar with this channel or the full situation but I am glad someone is breaking down each part without being a transphobe and differentiating the real vs the faked events one by one. And yes, a lot of people wanted ava to fail for simply being trans especially because she is a good parent and supported by friends and there seem to be nothing wrong. It is unfortunate that Ava turned out to be someone who has a lot of inappropriate behavior over the years. Glad we were able to get down to what's true and what's not.
