i am using this car in bangalore for last 3 month.
1. Except body and Tyre, everything else is imported from China or EU/UK. Just like Chinese mobile, its assembled in India.
2. the range it provides is 160Km only(in City driving), in an EV fist 10% and last 10% should not be included, after 50k Km the battery capacity will reduce to 90%, So the range will approx

Nissan should have kept sunny a very hit car amongst middle east market budget buyers. Its spacious than corolla or city. Sunny, Magnite and xtrail would have been good combo..

EV vehicles should be allowed only who is having a solar charging system in their house, then only it is 100% green or eco friendly.
For local usage or shorter distance EV is better than Petrol cars. But at the same time think about the battery cost after 5 to 6 years... We can't get the battery at the same cost of now, surely it will increase.

Apart from price, for long distance lovers it's also about mileage and fast charging infra along the way
Important aspect you missed to talk : there is always a need to replace battery after certain years (6-8 years).if so, the cost saved in fueling will exhaust in replacing the battery, right. If company itself giving battery swaping option after certain years in free of cost, definitely it's a boon for customers. Else both petrol and ev cost of owning and maintaining is same.
But price price of battery will be around 2 lakhs after 8 yrs ..I think..
EV cars will definitely replace IC engines slowly..

Tax on ice comes close to 40% against 5% on ev. Future govt may inc tax on ev and ice survives.. so they don't go away
Manufacturing of battery also depends on natural resources available. It will certainly get expensive in the future and similar to the state of petrol and diesel today.

Also the battery price will increase after a few years. Also extract Li ion will pollute the atmosphere as well as electricity production will also emits more air pollution than IC engines. EV will be big success if We have charging point in city as well as highway. People living in flats will face charging problem. I am using EV scooter but I need plan well if I take scooter out. Currently petrol cars cannot be replaced Unless govt and manufacturer's provides more charging point and gives user confidence to buy EV

Velusamy sir from mahindra said in interview that in india 1 kw gives around 7 km onroad range so whatever the ev car calculate its range with kw multiply by 7. Thats the average real range.

My relative has tigor ev , it is giving only 150to200km ranga , very low than tata claimed . Mostly range hovers around 175kms only for his usage . Range panic is the biggest con in ev cars in today's scenario

Hello Birla, it is my understanding from various EV users that the 50kW chargers are not seen commonly anywhere and most common ones are only 15-20kW. So the 58min fast charging could be more of an imaginary situation and not a reality as of now. Let me know your knowledge on this

The true range is 170-190 only.. Recently I cancelled my booking on this and top model with 7.2 KW charger come around 12.8 laks..but remember we can't use this 7.2 kw charger in normal domestic home EB service..we need to convert 3 phase EB service

Also mention the need of replace battery after 8 yrs and its cost. Till that depleting storage capacity will offset his joy of saving in fuel.
After 8 years battery cost would become 75% less due to development of technology. But i still love IC engines for their driving pleasure

Also note that India have discovered a huge quantity of Lithium reserve in our country. ICE will be in an ended nostalgic story in very near future.

in DC fast charging, the price of 1 KwH would be around 15 to 20 Rupees that's still far cheaper than a ICE counter part. Also, if you install a own On grid solar system at home (3 or 5 KW) then you could run an EV in totally free of cost.
