The thing is, we've all probably known a 'Pat' during our lives, and people like him are just so unique and special that you'll find it hard to dislike them. I'm sure Rita was the owner that knew she had to sack him, but simply couldn't because of who and how he was. It was great to still see Pat there.

@@alexanderdamberg5014 I think the story is they took over their family restaurant when their folks retired. And given they managed to keep going after filming in such a competitive place is good enough when some places are so far gone they closed after a year or so. So honestly made out well.

I don’t laugh easily at things on the tv but when Rita talks about her plan with her moonshine and testing it on pat, I was pissing myself laughing 😂 these people need their own reality show.

I think I know why La Galleria 33 has since closed down. On Google Maps, L'osteria, the restaurant owned by their parents, is listed as "women-owned"; I think that, tragically, the father or maybe both parents died, so Rita and Lisa sold La Galleria 33 and took control of L'osteria

Restaurant updates:
La Galleria 33 closed in November 2018 with no announcement of the closure.
Olde Hitching post is still open and Andrea is now owner/manager of the restaurant.
Prohibition Grille closed in July 2017. Rishi sold the restaurant to Brenton Holland in 2016 who kept the name and decor but focused on selling steak and whiskey.
Rocky opened his own restaurant called Ole Soul Southern Creole and reviews were good prior to it's closure in September 2017.
Abbott’s opened in the space of Prohibition Grille in 2018 and reviews are excellent.
La galleria 33 is still open?

The Busboy: Pat who assumes himself different roles/positions. One minute he is a busboy, general manager and now the owner. He is the real-life Kramer from Seinfeld! The hilarious story about getting his job back, i died 🤣
The Sister: Rita's sister who always gets smashed at work. Runs away from Gordon to grab another glass of wine.
The Cook: Rita's ex husband in the kitchen. The worst cook who cooks food from floor and has a picture of Rita laying on the floor in a chicken costume so he knows to not cook the food he drops 😅
Maybe Gordon could get the band back together and turn it into a TV show!
This episode along with a few others was highly scripted/ overexaggerated reenactments

In case anyone's curious, the Galleria closed up in 2018, and the building's been taken by a new restaurant. The owners didn't post anything publically, but according to some reviews at the time, it seems there were some problems that weren't brought up in the revisit, maybe coming up afterwards.
from the review the food was good but not the staff, or they simply were tired of Pat and chose to sell the restaurant
