THANK YOU! I put off fixing my cc since I wasn't driving distances anymore. While always on my list, I waited...I never followed your thought out path, but thought it was the switch on the steering wheel and told myself I'd eventually replace the switch. When detailing my car I came across a whitish-yellowed plug, but it's origin was a mystery. This past weekend I finally attacked this cruise control problem. First stop was YOUR video. Saturday AM, I went under the steering column. Sure enough, the clutch plug was missing and your video showed me what that mysterious diamond shaped plastic I found some time ago was. A quick trip to Auto Zone, removing the two plastic plates under the steering column and as easy pop in of the replacement plug! On the drive home I engaged the cruise control and the speed held and the green light between the speedometer and tachometer lit up. Problem solved. Thank you for taking the time to share such a well detailed video. Now on to my next repair project...
Thank you for the video! This was exactly my problem! When I removed the dash cover underneath, I found pieces of the old stopper. Looks like they get brittle and break over time due to heat (during hot seasons) and clutch action.
My g. You are a genius. Thank you kindly this vid. I had some bits n pieces of plastic on the car mat n didn’t know where it came from. What ensued after was my cc no longer engaged at set. Now I know. Grateful for your wisdom
Thank you so much. My brake light sensor detoriated, and I bought this kit. My cruise control also doesn't work, so I'll use the black rubber stopper on the clutch pedal so my cruise control will work.
Thanks for the video! This didn't fix it however I suspect my cruise control servo at the front right side under the windshield wiper cover is the culprit, will have to check that out next (:
That's a great idea! I would think that if the fuse is good and it is on the same circuit, that would be a good test also. Testing the fuse would be a good indicator also for sure to make sure the fuse is good and you would be able to visually inspect it just in case.
Thanks for the video brother. My cruise is not working. But the cruise button on the left side of the steering wheel is not lighting up green anymore when I push it in. What do you think?
It means the little light is burned out, that’s a common problem with all the cruise, sunroof and foglight switch buttons. You can replace them but they are like $5 a piece lol
Thank you! I would have never thought to look on the clutch pedal for a switch.

The brake light stopper and the clutch stopper both tend to fail .
Ur awesome thanks for helping me diagnose my CC issue. It was a stopper on the clutch for me
Hey thanks a bunch! I watched this video while at work today, order the stopper on my lunch break, and now my problem is fixed!

Glad it was helpful to ya brotha!
I found bits of plastic too buried in the floor mat!

Thanks for the help! I was lost without cruise control😢
I just fixed mine. It was a missing switch stopper. Luckily, I had a spare from when I lost the one on my brake pedal.
Thanks for help, my cruise control wasn’t working, checked the fuse under dash and found it was loose. Cruise now works
Thank you Alex for the very informative video. All the best, fellow RSX owner.

3:50 instead of using a multimeter, could you just try opening your sunroof? if it opens with the button you know the fuse is good?

Hi my 2002 rsx type s cruise control shuts off while driving. Usually after a minute depending on outside temp. Any suggestions.?
Thank you
I know I'm late but does anyone know what the same situation would be for an automatic? And what to do
I ran into the exact problem but my Send sensor wasn’t even touching the clutch
