We DCA each week for our brokerage and DCA monthly for 401k and HSA. Years where we contribute to our Roth IRA we will lump sum. I will agree that DCA is the best approach most of the time and I find myself more stressed about market conditions when I try to “time” low markets with lump sum contributions.
I DCA into SCHD with most of my investable capital, adding small amounts of leverage when the market tanks (like this year). I actively trade (market-time) options contracts on specific stocks. Profits from premium buy more SCHD. Definitely not as passive, but that combo has me well ahead of the market.
thanks for the advice zach.. With the huge downturn going on rit now people are doing lots of things.. This is one that is great.. I myself moved all my money into a straight cash account.. Where i am still adding to my 401k without any lose to it.. Luckily i did this before it got really bad and only lose very little this year.. Friends of mine are not so lucky and well are riding it out
That’s the best way to tell people to like their video. Loved it, liked it, shared it (I don’t know anything about stocks but I’m trying to learn. I used 5k play with, invest in different stocks, watch videos. Actually all I know is buy low sell high) Can someone help me? How do people know what to bye? Can someone please please help me? like stock?
Boss thank you very much for the video but I want to ask what is the minimum period to buy a stock? And compared to buying Treasury Bill in Ghana which one is better?
Thank you! Which one is better is highly dependent on your goals, risk tolerance, etc. I cannot say for sure which is better without knowing a lot more information.

Sounds like you got it down! :)
Lump sum investing is better than dollar cost averaging
Yes, but not many people suddenly come into a lump sum of money. It's generally better to invest sooner rather than later.

Not many people can do it successfully, I'm glad that for you that you have been fortunate thus far Thomas!
I lump sum every payday at a fixed amount. Ideally I don't have extra money to invest if I budgeted correctly. 😉
Haha lump sum every payday is DCA :P

I think if your investment time horizon is "forever" then you shouldn't need to pay attention to p/e
