Do NOT drop the charges. Just because she was in deep depression doesn't excuse that she took a freaking knife and tried to harm op. She's the one that should have opened up to her husband and dealt with her feelings rather than let it boil to the point she tried to kill op and the baby. Any family that says otherwise can butt off. Update, yep. Knew it was an ambush to pressure op and her husband to drop the charges. Yeah, she has anxiety and depression plus it's great that she's getting help. But, again, it doesn't excuse the fact what she tried to do to op. People like them have got to stop making excuses and face reality. Same with Rachel being pregnant, that doesn't give her a pass to not face consequences. Well, a plea deal is actually a good compromise since op doesn't get to drop the charges. Your not being too harsh. It's on her for letting her anxiety get the best of her towards where she's close to losing the baby. She's scared of the consequences but she should have thought of that before she tried to harm op. Update 2, glad the baby is healthy. I guess it couldn't be helped that the charges were withdrawn but good on op for and Sam for having terms placed.
It crappy no on cares about the mental health issues the attempted stabbing her but wants the world to bow down for SILs issues. I'm infertile and suffer from PTSD, cPTSD and bipolar 2, instead of trying to kill my loved ones I sought help when the emotions were getting bad. My loved ones were compassionate. I'm now 35 and have 3 amazing adopted kids and 2 fosters we are getting ready to adopt.
op had the baby shower got attacked and then asked if she is to blame for a baby shower when she knows that sil had problems getting pregnant but she hasnt said anything about knowing of sils struggle before the babyshower
Does THAT matter? Rachel is a GROWN Woman who tried stabbing a pregnant woman. I lm infertile and suffer from PTSD and bipolar 2. Guess what I never attempted during my friends pregnancy? It was sad but no one deserved to die bc I couldn't have kids. As an adult she could have gotten help before losing it. I'm sympathetic for mental health but it's no excuse for letting attempted murder or worse just slide.
So sil is entitled to kill someone are u born dumb and why op can't celebrate her happiness it's her first child seriously now someone can't even enjoy themselves 😂😂 even though it's definitely fake but still
Why would you let Rachel see much less hold a baby she tried to kill before she could come into this world? I feel like this was a mistake. They offered that baby up like a sacrificial lamb because "family". Damn that. Be empathetic at a distance. I'll bet the update in a year will have Rachel trying to kidnap that baby for herself. Smh.
Yeah i wouldnt be dropping charges at all. Her having a miscarriage doesnt excuse her vile behavior. Shed be in jail right after getting out of the hospital.
Regardless of SIL getting treatment I would never let my guard down. She has serious mental issues and could relapse at any stage. Best to be safe than sorry
I’m so confused? SIL found out multiple days before the said “baby shower” that she HERSELF was also with child. Then at the baby shower, SIL exploded in emotions attempting to stab OP because “this is all so unfair” and how she was more deserving of being a mother (even though she was already aware of her own pregnancy). Somehow her bad mental health and crazy pregnancy hormones warped her brain into either forgetting that fact or she just really hated OP being pregnant before she was.
Wow, not smart to drop charges. The OP will be back with another shocking update after the nutter SIL goes off her meds, decides the niece is her child and she breaks in and takes her.
I'm going to stop listening to these foolish stories, they all have a happy, " lets seek therapy" endings. The endings are so stupid, regardless of the issue how can you allow a woman who tried to kill you hold your child. The OP of these stories are so soft, for example " my DAD SAed me" ending of the story " " my therapist said I should meet my dad and get closure, 6 months later our relationship is building and we are getting closer" like what?!?!?
Umm, what? Drop the charges for "family unity?" Seriously? Was "family unity" a factor when SIL tried to hurt you? No, eff that. Don't drop the charges. Actions have consequences.
While i disagree with the dropping of the charges, why the f would you let your first meeting with her include the new baby instead of just talking to you
Yeah i call BS. Rachel is the little sister, her marriage is AFTER OP's. And the fact that Rachel's IVF is successful when the baby shower was held, doesn't make any sense at all as why she has that outburst if rage. She was pregnant too afterall and her waiting period should be less than OP since OP is the one who got married first. Everything just doesn't add up to the stories. At least have the effort to make a believeable story even if it's fake 🥴
They should have dropped the charges when they found out that Rachel was pregnant because to much stress like that could’ve made her have a miscarriage there kinda to blame for her miscarriage because of the stress they put on her I’m not saying that what she did was right I’m saying that the charges should have been dropped until she gave birth or at least put one hold *Ik this is fake*
I mean, you can't really forget someone lunging at you despite knowing that you are pregnant. Ok,she was depressed, but that doesn't give her the right to kill someone, even if this story is fake
@@LisatoldyoutoSmile for real, to try to kill out of jealousy is psycho. Depression doesn't excuse her actions and being pregnant doesn't give her the pass to walk free from what she did. And what's the deal with people thinking most stories are fake. If they're going to be like that they shouldn't be commenting on Reddit stories.
@LisatoldyoutoSmile right? So apparently pregnant women are immune from anything they do cause hormones and everyone has to cater for fear for the baby? Stories are fake but some people's opinions about these stories are concerning
@@onepieceisking5493 I know right. It doesn't matter if it was real or not,all I get are different situations and how to deal with them. On top of that,we don't have any proof that she has depression, when did depression start linking to psychotic tendencies?
@@LisatoldyoutoSmile yeah, and it makes me upset when people say it's fake when the person is asking for help and advice. Like that's what Reddit is for. So they're being disrespectful to the person and not helpful. There's a reason why "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" is a golden rule.
If my SIL (or any person, really) had ever lunged at me with a knife, she'd never be allowed in the same room as me ever again.
The same house. The same TOWN.
Not even in the same city fuck that
or your child for that matter, who the heck lets their kid newr that again

Rachel was in an extremely dark place and yes.. the boundaries are in place and deserve to be.
No one:
Every Reddit baby ever: Lily/Ava
Oh hell no. I would never trust any of them, even Sam.
ATTEMPTED MURDER ! STILL HAVE TIME ! PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE. DONT DROP CHARGES !
Never. Never in a million years would I let someone who went at me with a knife near my kid. Never.
I'm so glad youre not my friend or relative.
letting the women who tried to kill you, hold your baby, is insane
What bs fake story, no real and loving mother would let someone who had murder in their mind hold their baby, wtf

Very sad. But that's why people should try to control their envy, not controlling your emotions, can lead to a lot of problems.
5:37 I’m sorry, she did WHAT!?
yep shes norweigan
Norwegians always think that exiting the window than the door is easy but asks why they got hurt.
These are criminal not civil charges. Is there the option to not press charges.
