This tutorial is so lovely and easy to follow! I actually needed to make a skirt very much like this one for a costume and I'm so happy that I found this video! This made the skirt so easy to make. Thank you!!
I had always wondered how a tiered skirt was put together. This turned out so well and looks beautiful on you. Thank you for sharing and stay safe, wear a mask!
i have always loved designing and sewing but av bin struggling to understand it, u make it look so easy and am encouraged to start afresh. thanks so much for ur tutorials
I want to make a mini version of this for tennis, for when we can go outside and have normal lives! Thanks for the circle skirt calcs and the very clear tutorial.
Just ordered the erhis top from your store. I'm so excited to get it! Your fantastic tutorials have helped me develop my sewing skills so much and there are many garments i wouldn't have known how to draft and sew without them. I'm so glad I'm able to support you by getting something really cool that you designed :)
Do you know I am not aware of the button hole footer... Wow, my machine see nicely for button hole but I am always at the midpoint of getting something better. Thank you so much
Your fabric is most likely a crêpe-satin / crêpe-backed satin (a more lightweight version is called charmeuse). Satin is a weave (one in which there are relatively very few points where warp and weft cross and they're all offset, resulting in that smooth, shiny appearance); silk is a fibre. So you can have silks that are satins, and satins that are, say, polyester. :-) Not sure how exactly crêpe-satin happens, I think in crêpes there's a third element involved concerning the way the threads are spun...
1:24 It's definitely a satin, but it might not be silk satin. Silk is a fiber that is sourced from silkworm cocoons. Satin is the way the fibers are woven into a fabric. Satin can be made of silk fibers, but it could also be made of polyester (plastic), viscoce (wood), cupro (cotton waste), bamboo or a blend of those above.
Hello! Thanks so much this, it's just what I was looking out for! Can I ask what the width of the fabric you used was? No problem if you can't remember now! Thanks again!! ❤️
Is there a reason why you chose to have a center back zipper rather than a side zipper? The center front & back edge look like they are straight, why did you choose not to place them on the fold?
See how I cut and sew this tiered layer midi skirt in this detailed tutorial.
Will you be trying it out?
Kim Dave yes

On this skirt so you use your hip measurement and how many cm are you adding to make the a line?
Yes I will🥰
Hellooo Kim what the name of that paper u use to draw your design plz? Is there for full figure too?
It’s called paper pattern
Can i use this method for a longer skirt

Hi miss kim, thank you for making a layered skirt,
Would you mind making a layered blouses too?
Tank you, and God Bless,
Be safe always.
you're welcome.
For the moment, I don't have any plans to make the layered blouse but let's see how things go
If she had fallow the skirt curve hem while sewing it would give a much better finish to the hem ,instead of sewing it on a straight line
Can u share a tutorial on how to make a pleated skirt ma’am
Hello! Thanks so much this, it's just what I was looking out for! Can I ask what the width of the fabric you used was? No problem if you can't remember now! Thanks again!! ❤️
You're welcome.
I think it was around 45-50 inches. It's all used up now so I can't check.
@@KimDave okay that's fab! Thanks so much again!
Hi Kim my waist is 35.76inch ÷by 4=8.94 u said _7.5 how ? Please can u tell me
Pls make a video on how to hem like a pro, I honestly don't like hemming circle skirt or sleeve
What sewing machine do you use?I'm looking into buying a new one
could you please tel me how much fabric you used for this?
If I recall correctly, it was around 3metres
@@KimDave thank you!
Mam plz make a video on sailor collar
How many yards of fabric did you use?
Is there a reason why you chose to have a center back zipper rather than a side zipper? The center front & back edge look like they are straight, why did you choose not to place them on the fold?
No particular reason. You can fix the zip on the side of you want.
Beautiful 😍😍.. Your blouse though, so cute.. Please how many yards did you use??
Thank you.
I use about three metres of fabric
Good and Awesome
Pls your machine so cute how can I get one to buy thanks sis..🤝

❤❤
OH wow viry nice baby 😍💞😍💞😍💗👍
You are so kind
Manifique
Yowza.
Looks good! Only thing tho, the hems of the tiers could've been ironed a little more.... the puckering is distracting from the beauty of the skirt
Thank you for the compliment.
The hems were ironed though 🤔
Hi Kim it also helps when you let your circular skirt hang overnight. Then hem it the next day.Still thanks for this tutorial
