Tomajda's monologue about almost having "pity" for Adam's chase for a worthy opponent in rocks around the world was beautiful. "A slave to his skill." Incredible climbing, breathtaking scenery, top-notch video production... Thanks Adam and team
I'm so used to seeing Adam climb with such confidence in what the next move is... to see him stop and feel around and think in the moment of what the next move is, like I do every time I climb.... really made a deep connection with me. Thank you, Adam.
This was exactly the same for me. Watching Adam search for a hold was so interesting, because it's so similar to my own experience when I climb. So cool to watch!
I love, that in climbing you have the local legends like Tomajda, the local crushers, who know their home crack like they know their back pocket. People you have never heard of, just doing what they love, with passion, ethics and skill.
Almost crying here, this sandstone is part pf my youth, ob both sides of the borders. The first shot of the Elbe valley took my breath away, I miss it so much. Thank you!
Wasn't expecting to get much more from this video aside from Adam being a beast on the wall, but this was a really beautiful and touching short story. Tomajda's words were beautiful, I would love to see more stuff from him and Adam in the future.
grabbing those slopers above that runout looks absolutely horrifying. also lol at “maybe it should be safe but… “ at the end of the video. incredible looking climb.
also "you should climb from the last bolt all the way to the summit" at 5:37 and proceeds to let go and fall on his friend (idk the name of the person securing you from under in english) lol
Amazing cinematography, amazing climbing, amazing people, big props to Tomajda for the great exposition. These videos where the local legends are given enough space are my favourite. Great job!
Ooooo that was great!!! Adam was pretty poetic there at the end... so so good to see a master of modern difficulty being an ambassador for the traditional ethics of a very special climbing area. Love it!!!
Watching your content, it always seems as though you're exploring the boundaries of climbing as opposed to being "trapped" chasing the hardest routes, because you seem to approach everything with this mixture of supreme confidence and humility that is truly unique to your incredible ability and love for the sport. It seems important and relevant to push the limits of the sport when you are capable of doing so and you clearly enjoy doing it. It's certainly surreal watching you climb with such mastery over everything but I never get the vibe that it's born of anything but passion and the intense focus required to do it at that level. I'm an older, washed-up former mid-5.14 climber and what you do and the way you're able to communicate your passion for it inspires me even though I don't climb much anymore. It reminds me of why I still love climbing despite it not being as big a part of my life as it used to be.
So good! I used to watch climbing videos all the time, but began to lose interest as I got older. I feel like these videos really capture the essence of why I love to climb. I really appreciate the artistic beauty and storytelling.
Mellow may be my “favorite” climbing channel, but I can confidently say I think this channel is the “best” in terms of production quality, location, information shared, and not to mention Adam is literally the best sport climber in the world
This crew that Adam has found really stepped up the game of climbing youtube content quality. And actually Stefano has found some people recently who've matched that. In case you missed it, he had a recent series where he worked on Silence and the quality of just how well the climbing itself was filmed was really next level and above anything I had ever seen, even compared to AO stuff.
It is enjoyable to see how much fun they are having. Curious to be in this adventure. Joy is the spice of life, positive, movement shared perhaps the oasis that climbing can be! Alex Lowe is quoted as saying “ the best climber is the one having the most fun”. Ondra seems to embody this mindset. Such a joy to see. Beautiful.
U tohoto videa jsem teprve zjistil, že je z dílny Honzy Šimánka! So far, so good!! Je hodně zajímavé, že aniž bych "četl" závěrečné titulky, jeho "podpis" byl zřejmý hned v prvních minutách. Honzo bravo! Jsi prostě talent! A Adamova perfektní volba.
Thanks for taking me with you on this climb. Adventure is the only fitting description. I loved the thoughts mixed in. Really it is true I guess even for top notch climbers there is the same excitement of the unknown as it is for the beginner fighting up a UIAA V.
best Ondra-Vid since a long time. And Elb-Valley is the best climbing area in the world, no doubt about it. Some professional climnbers try to copy those Ondra-vids, but the quality is different. It's not only documentary, but art-cinema
Lots of discussion about ethics recently with the Snake Dyke injury. I think this climb has a sensible balance of adventure and safety, remaining in keeping with the local bolting tradition.
Hi, I wrote a short article answering a few of your questions and describing the project, grade, ethics etc. Read and enjoy here www.adamondra.com/falling-into-presence-amazing-fight-during-opening-a-new-route-in-elbe-valley/
I have no idea how I came across your videos but I am absolutely amazed I have never seen anything like it upside down at that height holding on with 2 fingers and a toe It's absolutely amazing I really want to get into rock climbing now I've only done it once about 5 years ago and now I'm 33 old and fat but I really want to give it a go keep up the good work
You know someone is a strong climber when they roll up with the Ikea rope bag
the official bag of crushers everywhere
I'm not a crusher anymore (that was 30-40 years ago!) but I still use an Ikea rope bag. :-)
Tomáš is like a poet, beautiful way of speaking
Truly, 06:30 speech sounds like it's from a Tarkovsky movie or something
It’s his accent that’s all, the region is from
Funny you say that, actually he uses A LOT of filler words and overall speaks like a local dude from a pub after a few beers.
Tomajda's monologue about almost having "pity" for Adam's chase for a worthy opponent in rocks around the world was beautiful. "A slave to his skill."

Perfekt Words
This was exactly the same for me. Watching Adam search for a hold was so interesting, because it's so similar to my own experience when I climb. So cool to watch!
Nice comment. Being a superhuman he goes into that mode on a 8b 4 meters above the last bolt lol
@Bobo Jenkins You have to be a sad person
I love these productions from the AO team. They're basically mini climbing movies. 🙌
Love your channel! I watch it every Sunday!
Sunday climbs crew checking in!!!
I love, that in climbing you have the local legends like Tomajda, the local crushers, who know their home crack like they know their back pocket. People you have never heard of, just doing what they love, with passion, ethics and skill.
Tomas seems like a top bloke! Thanks for introducing these unknown legends to the world
Almost crying here, this sandstone is part pf my youth, ob both sides of the borders. The first shot of the Elbe valley took my breath away, I miss it so much. Thank you!
Ondra in his usual top form, what an inspiring person!
I just love the camera work at 5:53. This shot could be a picture. Just two psyched dudes watching rock.
This image stuck with me, as well
Wasn't expecting to get much more from this video aside from Adam being a beast on the wall, but this was a really beautiful and touching short story. Tomajda's words were beautiful, I would love to see more stuff from him and Adam in the future.
Turn on captions, theres some beautiful commentary from his friend
I thought his thoughts about competing with yourself after 6:30 were incredible.
Love the boat drifting by just as he tops out.
Awesome production, and of course the content is very beautiful. Appreciate the English subtitles! Thank you
One of the best climbing videos I've ever seen. Such a pure and authentic experience,
grabbing those slopers above that runout looks absolutely horrifying. also lol at “maybe it should be safe but… “ at the end of the video. incredible looking climb.

You're the man Adam. You spread so many positive vibes, ideas and so much passion... also I love the way you laugh. Thank you for your channel.
What can I say, I love climbing on these Sandstone towers. Truly emotional video for me. Thanks Adam and Team!
Amazing cinematography, amazing climbing, amazing people, big props to Tomajda for the great exposition. These videos where the local legends are given enough space are my favourite. Great job!

A wonderful little film - Tomas is such a great guy.
Such beatiful scenery , goosebumps all the way through! Tomas seems to be an awesome guy :)
I love the attention to detail those filmmakers have. Opening sequence was brilliant.
the production quality of this video... wow! breathtaking
"Pity".... This is stunning. Best video ever seen after Silence documentary.
A masterpiece. Wow
Opět skvělé video. Jen tak dál, těším se na každou další

Amazing Clip with nice new details! Congrats to your film team! Great climbing work: Adam and Tomas 👏🙏
Maybe my favorite video you've ever created! Tomáš spoke to my soul! Haha

Incredible, thank you
Love it! Ethics there are awesome.
Huh, that's funny. We have a local legend here in Tucson AZ named Austin Sobotka. Strong name, eh??
Tomajda spoke brilliantly. Amazing video. Props to the team!
The quality of your videos just seems to keep getting better. Great video!
I love the intros of your videos 💟
I think I learn a new warmup/stretching technique every time I watch an ondra video. Thanks for them!!
So lovely to see again our Adam so happy on our sandstone.
what a nicely told story relating back to the essence of climbing. thanks adam!
Great movie and at 3:10 Adam gives the essence of climbing. Just in one sentence
Impressive climbing. Being able to fly around the world is a beautiful thing.
Sounds design and music on point - amazing production!
Je to taaaam!!! Parádní video ❤ gratulace k přelezu
The production level on these videos is incredible. That Drone Footage at the beginning was breath-taking!
Now this, is a work of art.
Great video, feels like a little movie
Great, well done! How I love climbing there in the Elbsandstone too! 😃 ❤
Tomajdo, Tomajdo. Takhle kazit pěkný video z prváče.
Thanks for taking me with you on this climb. Adventure is the only fitting description. I loved the thoughts mixed in. Really it is true I guess even for top notch climbers there is the same excitement of the unknown as it is for the beginner fighting up a UIAA V.

Thanks to both of you (and team) to give a wonderful perspective on what we have at Elbtal!
Wasn't that the ferry of "Angry ferryman" (route named after him)?
Did this a couple times on the german side of this sandstone range. Super fun.
Thank you for this great video❤️ The filming and the climbing are so perfect!!🙏🏼 congrats
have been waiting for this, so good!
Sandstone is the best! This reminds me of West Virginia New River Gorge.
This is by far the most beautiful AO video
Beautiful
awesome Video Adam. Really down to earth 🙂
Absolutely love this experience i wish i could join you guys 👏
Amazing content like always.
just loved Adam congratulations
Lots of discussion about ethics recently with the Snake Dyke injury. I think this climb has a sensible balance of adventure and safety, remaining in keeping with the local bolting tradition.
Amazing video, cheers man
So wild to see Adam climbing a route where he didnt already know where the next holds were... super cool to see him feeling around like a mere mortal
this was incredible climbing!!
Good work adam and tomajda, such a great views and sandstones, thats the real climbing. Greetings from Chile
Have you heard of the Save Soil movement before?🌎🌏🌍 #SaveSoil #ConsciousPlanet
Wow that was like a movie
the start of this video was like a literal movie
V zivote jsem nelezl po skále, ale mám sjeté každé tvoje video .. tier 1 produkce
I love that Adam seems like a genuine celebrity in his home country. Here in Canada, no one but the junkies would recognize any Canadian climbers.
thank you !
I like the idea of a hard climb that keeps changing.

The shoe ad at the end is hilarious, like, buy this and you can do that =)
this is awesome!
7:08 great shot
Adam kissing the shoes is the best moment in the video.
Amazing
Such a mystical place
insane send!!! thanks ;)
Beautiful 💟
