- #firewood This pile of cottonwood logs has been staring at us for almost a full year and now it is time to rid ourselves of this nasty crap! It will be use for boiler wood by a friend who will burn any kind of wood. In exchange he lets us use his dump trailer. It is a great trade for all of us! It is time to make big wood small, lets get splitting!
I've always thought that Bert could fly the space station...it looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree! Nice job Gavin 👍
Morning all
I see Bert as Rodin's "Thinker". Table, debris catchers, the way he uses the support table to lower the last piece into splitter. He's a very astute young man. Thumbs up Bert.
Great job Gavin!! Bert did great with the totes for cleanup!! Fantastic crew!!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Well at least you were able to get rid of the Cottonwood. I agree, nasty crap!
Cottonwood👎🏻 That crap was nasty! See ya tomorrow 👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Gavin is getting quite the practical education working with all of you in the wood yard this summer.
Good morning all!
Man Chris! You have gone from a one man band to a full orchestra! You guys may s great team! Have always been impressed with Bert, but Gavin can do it all! Nice job by all!
Grampa told me that in the old days the women liked a little dry cottonwood for baking during the hot summer because it burned pretty hot and went out quick so not to heat up the house too much. Wood burning cook stoves in those days!
Lol that cotton wood may sprout from the saw dust. Lol. If there is ever an event. Roaches and cotton wood will be left lol.
Good morning
Forgot the lift legs on elevator. Enables the elevator to be pulled sideways. Noticed you used that at big bin.
Gavin has really caught on the the processor! Way to go!
This is exactly what our country needs the older guys teaching our kids responsibility. I hung around with mostly older guys who really taught me more than school. They taught me how to use my brain and hands and my life worked out well without a college degree!
Like what y'all did with the IBC totes. Have a great day be safe.
We have a lot of cotton wood along the Little Missouri River where I live. We rarely ever cut or split it "green" there is enough dead and dry stuff. However, you must cut and split a lot of that rather quickly after it dies or it becomes punky and rotten. (in a year or to, but dead standing lasts longer)
Nice job woodyard crew. Buddy trade (barter) is a good practice that keeps the record off the books. Gavin is a quick learn machine operator for both the processor, tractor and camera. Teach him well, offer advice if he asks for it, otherwise get the heck out of the way. GNI
You can, but why wood ( pun intended!!) you?!!!!. Other than the skunkwood your hummin along quite well with the group in the woodyard
Good morning Chris!!😀😀
