Fun fact: The gold frog and man statue that resembles an Emmy is actually supposed to be the set designer's nod to Jim Henson who brought the Muppets to Sesame Street! Because Disney owns the Muppets, custom Kermit and Henson pieces could not be created for the set, so the pre-made frog and human is supposed to be them!
It's also so great to see more fellow Sesame fans sharing their love for the series recently!

When I first saw the golden frog, I thought it was a reference to the vhs special "The Best of Kermit on Sesame Street" where Kermit wins a golden frog statue for being picked Frog of the Year. But what you said makes more sense lol

The orange truck is Cookie Monster’s and Chef Gonger’s food truck! They call it the “Foodie Truck.”

The coolest thing about this set for me is what it means for LEGO ideas, prior to this set they never made any ideas’s sets with new exclusive molds. Now that this set exists it means that their options for what projects can be approved has drastically increased and that we could potentially get figures and sets from way crazier licenses.
The Saturn V and I.S.S. both had new Astronaut pieces.

I'm a little disappointed that Elmo's apartment doesn't include at least some kind of reference to Elmo's World (like it wouldn't have been hard to include a drawing of it on the bulletin board), and I think there are some inconsistencies with the main building's layout, but I gotta say, it's an absolutely adorable and faithful set.
If it was in there. Which Elmo's World would it be? The classic or the new age one with Smartie?

I had figured that the apartment over Hooper's store was Cookie Monster's. The picture of his food truck, for starters. But also the trophy and the golden bowl, which I believe could represent Crumby Pictures (and the Goblet of Cookies more specifically.) I could be wrong though. A wonderful set.
I used to love Lego so much, I had a dozen or so Star Wars fighters that I would spend Christmas mornings building.
Fun Fact: The guy who plays the trumpet in the show is my dad

Now's a pretty great time to get back. Got some excellent original themes and licensed sets, and a lot of them like the Creator 3-In-1s and the Speed Champions sets are really modestly priced for how many parts you're getting per-set (sadly can't say the same about the Star Wars ones if you're into that)

I have no idea why, but I always thought Bert and Ernie lived in the basement level apartment (or "garden level" or whatever it's called now). Gordon's family lived on the first floor, and Bob lived on the second floor. Everyone else just didn't have a street facing apartment (or where higher up in the building).
No idea where 4-yo me came up with this headcanon, but I'm now realizing that I have just assumed it was correct all these years.

The sad thing is when you consider the picture of Mr. Hooper in Big Bird's house is the one he drew for Mr. Hooper and hung up in his house when he learned of Mr. Hooper's death. It's a nice touch, if a sad one.
You're Elmo impression is faulty, Elmo speaks in the third person. The rest was true to Elmo's character so good job on that.
My husband and I have an entire Lego City basement full of sets! This was the first one we did with our 4 year old, and it was fun for all of us. Lots of Easter eggs for the older generation and details that the younger ones can enjoy too.

Not sure what technique you use to put the stickers on, but I've always found that applying them with a pair of tweezers makes it worlds easier to actually get them aligned with the piece you're trying to place it onto.

I love that they included the drawing from the episode where Mr. Hooper died. One of the most important episodes in my opinion, and they didn't shy away from it
Although now that I'm thinking about it, that means that Mr. Hooper is canonically dead in the Lego Sesame Street universe, and I'm not sure how I feel about the implications of that for Lego as a whole.

My younger brother got to pick out a present for Christmas and he got me a lego batman set. The whole set is one big truck with characters and other vehicles inside. I really like Batman so it was really nice putting it together. My only issue was accidentally putting a sticker backwards so that will haunt me forever now. Lol
I bought this forever ago, still haven’t built it. But I love Sesame Street.
