This album felt like a watered down version of songs & projects that Benny has done before. The Hit Boy beats aren't better than the Burden of Proof production and the Alchemist beats don't live up to any of the Tana Talks or Plugs. On top of that Benny doesn't have the same sharpness and wittiness in his rapping, so add that with repetitive subject matter and you get just an "ok" album.

agreed on appreciating what the album is, and what Benny was aiming for, but not loving it. felt like it was missing something the whole time. i don't think HitBoy or Al gave him the heavyweight joints he needed to properly energize this one. it should have felt more monumental for his first major label LP.
imo HitBoy isn't that nice and as much as i fux with Al, he should have brought more of that Mobb/Prodigy energy back for this.
I don't know if it's gonna be a classic but it sure does sound like one
hate it when benny goes mainstream
Ken, Benny did reach out to Drake, they actually had a song but it leaked and because of that it’s not on the album smh
Lil Wayne been on Al beats. Alchemist is on the Carter 3
this album was weak....alchemist didn't impress here... it gonna be playing this much doesnt affect my love of Benny's music....waiting on the next one
The beats on Jermanes graduation, Tmvtl, and buffalo kitchen up were WEAK?!? these are some of my fav Al & Benny collabs in years ESP TMVTL, Benny doesn’t tap into his storytelling bag often esp not since 2018
to be fair he produced about 4 songs on the album
@@romaretaylor9953TMVTL is the only fire best here.Benny has been picking boring Alchemist beats lately
@@Rationz36to you. I like all of Al’s beats lately.
@@romaretaylor9953 Me too the Larry june project was fire,But again Benny picks weak Alchemist beats. So I’m not even mad at AL.Imagine if Benny was as good at picking beats like Hov or Biggie. His albums would be praised across the board
He was saying it thru out the album one foot out one foot in
"Griselda is the poor man's G-Unit"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Poor man's Wu tho
Griselda is kind of redundant and imo they needed to mix up sounds
Y’all have to review the big hit and game album, it came out on New Years
If u gotta force yourself ta like it.......? It aint good. This album is a start ta finish Snooze fest. Very little replay value.
This was the worst run by these 3. Won’t he do it, And then you pray for me, and Everybody can’t go we’re all mediocre releases
Critical acclaim probably means nothing to y’all but this album is a critical darling if you read actual printed reviews and not TH-cam recaps
Jermaines Graduation

TMVTL
One Foot In
Buffalo Kitchen Club
Pillow Talk and Slander
Griselda Express
Big Dog
ThreeOnegros is crazy 😭😭
I listened to this like eight, nine times and never gave it a second thought. 2/5 and that's being generous.
I loved this album wayyy better than Tana Talk 4
Boldy james alchemist beats are magical, bennys alchemist beats are just meh. Also somebody prolly gonna fight me for saying that but idc it is what it is.
Boldy also adds to the magic being a better rapper and lyricist
Nah you right.Boldy picks Better alchemist beats than Benny
5 to 50
Broken Bottles
Rubber Bands and Weight
Fifty One
Took the Money to the Plug's house
Johnny P's Caddy
Brickmile to Montana
Thowy's Revenge
Lucha Bros
Please find a weak Al/Benny beat/collaboration in that one.
@@Mamba4.8LMAO barely
@@PureMoney4 Brick mile to Montana and Lucha bros are not on Benny projects.Take me the money to the plugs house is an ok alchemist beat TT4 and this album had very lackluster alchemist beats. His ear for alchemist beats is not as good as it used to be.Gunn,Boldy, and gibbs pick better alchemist beats for their projects
Its not a bad album but I think I’m guilty of hyping it up too much. Not as good as Westside’s last 2 or even TT4.
He mentions he still on a run but after this 🧐
Y'all tripping with this review...🤦🏾
I'm hearing a lot of down play on this album and a little good feed back since it's release. I can see others points but...I feel like Benny's really evolving as an artist and the music aspect of it is still maturing but I throughly enjoy this album. I'm seeing the growth💯
Or you could just respect peoples opinions??
@javonbatiste3294 never said I didn't. Everyone has the right to their opinions and I do respect it. It's just a cordial conversation at the end if the day. That's what makes us fans right?
@@datboyyquan7273i think he’s talking to the original commenter; but your point stands 💯
@@CHarr1991 kinda felt that way lol, either way it's all love
Am I really the only one who actually likes this project ???
You're not alone, I really don't get why people aren't liking this album, but yet praise tf out of that recent mediocare 21 Savage album lol
@@iangarcia1585 Not gonna lie, I liked BOP but coming off of that grimey sound from TT3 and even PIM, it felt too polished at times for my taste. Feel like this one switches that up enough to avoid being monotone. Best of both worlds IMO. I felt like the OG Plugs I met was the best example of being able to have a polished version of the grimey sound. Beats felt big, loud, and low end was banging while maintaining that Boom bap Griselda grit.
Not his best work, still happy with the project though
Surprised they liked Griselda Express. CTM’s verse was underwhelming, didn’t sound hungry. Almost like leftover bars.
Since beefing with each other Freddie and Benny music been meh recently
Nah Freddie still got it
I hope Gibbs drops an album this year.
This might be years too late but I want a FreddiexDanny Brown album just re-listened to Piñata and OLD and Danny and Freddie has not missed@@Lakeshow82
Freddie still top tier.. The bunny is awesome
@@iangarcia1585soul sold separately was the definition of forgettable. You still bumping that?
Only a few songs on this one stood up to me. Also Hit-Boys and Alchemist own joint was better than this album
Was just a good album. Boldys album this year was better. Burden of Proof was better.
When you try to appease everyone it doesn't enhance your music
Penalty of leadership? 🤔
@@redgenerall28 Yes.
@@Mamba4.8 in that case, strongly disagree.
Yeahhhhhh that boy better drop that drake feature he has cause his run about to end soon
Drake isn’t going to save Benny because most drake fans aren’t rap fans
Benny don’t need “saving” if you don’t like this one wait for the next one, harry fraud just posted a pic of him and benny working a few days ago
A drake feature is not gonna make or break his career benny don't even care for Aubrey fan base his aim is for the streets something drake is not end of story
@@Newportnews98it would make him more known in mainstream audiences, and saying most drake fans aren’t rap fans is a crazy generalization.
Griselda have fallen off recently idc what anyone says. Gunn last album was HORRIBLE
Definitely not fallen off, but I Think We as Griselda fans expect more because they consistently have delivered great albums for years.
They at they best when West picks the beats
Was Griselda really even on? Ya they have a loyal fan base but in terms of numbers I think they only have 1 gold song between them
No, fuck that I'm tired of that recent Gunn album negative slander. The homies and I (lol) fucked with it heavy. Speak for youself. I still have it in rotation.

You know the crazy thing is, you can’t find their performance on Fallon on TH-cam anymore. Not from the official channel, the suits got to him 😕I respect Jimmy for trying, but the higher ups ain’t letting it happen
Hes clearly trying to go mainstream but thats not gonna work for a lot of fans and im sure he knows that and has long accepted what that comes with. The bigger you get the more you cant please everyone. Its obvious what benny is trying to do and I dont blame him. Im sure being “underground” gets tiring and especially if you wanna go to the moon like benny does.
