    As a big Cudi fan. This did everything for me. When did Cudi ever do a banger trap song. Put the volume up!!! . I'm happy that Cudi sounds happy. Supporting that vibe for sure. I don't want Cudi to keep making humming vibe songs. Artists need to switch it up. Happy he did. 🔥

    Cudi’s rapping to me seems very effortless. Like it comes easy to him writing. Not that he’s a lyricist. His lyrics are simple but that’s what makes what he’s says relatable through his lyrics.

    Yeaaa. Unfortunately It was a miss for me and I’ve been a long time Cudi fan. For me it seems like the issue is his desire to deliver what he thinks fans want. That desire is crushing the very thing that made him special, marching to the beat of his own drum.

      Speaking of which do we need to have a discussion about where he is as a artist? Because if we really think about it his best piece of work is with another artist (Kids See Ghost). I was hoping he would make a great album after that (Man on the Moon III is good not great imo). Idk what’s going on but it’s just not it.

    Yall are real as fuck. Idk what it is, maybe its that the youth are so enticed with Kanye and his antics, but it seems the younger kids are overhating the shit out of this one. I find older audiences that have listened to him for years are enjoying it a lot more. Imma be honest this might be top 3 cudi for me. Really wasn't feeling this album and it's a shame that people will levvy accusations that "cudi fans don't like it because he's not talking about being sad anymore". While his introspective music is what alot of people like about him, sonically this album just doesn't sound as good as EG/MOTM3 etc 😢

    • @DrumzNotDrugz
      @DrumzNotDrugz 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      People love to say Cudi’s music is for lonely depressed people. But his music is not just him being sad, it’s about being your authentic self and overcoming adversity. Plus he’s always sounded different compared to everything that has came out before. Insano sounds just like every other trap album. Trying to sound the same as the people he inspired. It was a disappointment

    • @wizard932
      @wizard932 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      In a way it has a “TGIF” or “king wizard” or “cudi spazzin” vibes. But overall as a project I don’t think it’s actually anything like AKNC as a whole. That record is very diverse from save my soul, heaven at nite, down and out, pillow talk, embrace the Martian, man on the moon. And has a lot more depth than this project… I like the project for what it is but it’s not really content filled. It’s just good vibes dope beats and cudi flowing well. He’s not sayin too much. I think it’s because he doesn’t have much to talk about anymore. He’s not depressed or anything so it’s a lot of “fuck the haters suck my balls imma smoke my tree and do me” type raps. Which is fine. But i hope he doesn’t do that on every album moving forward

    Im a hardcore Cudi fan. I started listening to his music cause he was not about the BS that comes with Hip Hop he was about the message and the music. He didnt have the best bars but he made up for that with his honesty. He doesnt have the best vocals but he made up for that with his emotion. This album is a clear indication that my GOAT has nothing left to say. Ill keep it all the way real, Cudi is tracing Tyler The Creator but no one notices it. And he is terrible at it cause Tyler has better raps! I am aligned with Pitchfork's review, it sounds very uninspired. It is time for him to give it up.

    Cudi needs to hang up the trap shit and go back to rapping on Kanye's production. All this trap pop shit is insanely played out and lame. Leave the trap shit to the rappers that are actually good at it, like 21 Savage. His album was way better than Insano

    Haven’t watched dead in hip hop in years. Channel seems to have the same number of subscribers as it had years ago. I hate to say it but some of the b list guys need to go. I’d keep Mike with the dreads, the opening speaker, and the dude to the right of him but I’d X the dude who can’t listen to Kanye and the old head.
    It’s nothing personal and it’s not even so much that the 3 I picked enjoyed the album. These 3 have PASSION that the other 2 simply don’t. They also have the ability to be critical…. Without being dismissive.
    Also, I will never understand the one dude “boycotting” Kanye as a music reviewer. Out of all the bad things in this world, that’s where you take a stand? As a music reviewer? Gtfoh. It’s just silly. If it were just the 3 I listed: debating/reviewing consistently, this channel could easily hit a million subscribers

      Beezy is the one that doesn’t listen to Kanye. But as much as I fw him, I kinda agree with some stuff you said. When it’s not a project that he wants to listen to, it’s pointless to have him on the review. He will always sound and look uninterested on them, and it’s so predictable that he won’t like it. Because he only has 1 lane in hiphop that he enjoys. In terms of music, he’s really the true old head in the group.

      @@dmw7681 yea and I don’t want to seem like a hater. I’m sure he has his things but maybe him and the other old head should have behind the scenes roles. I literally watched NFR podcast start nearly a decade after DEHH and now they have have almost the same number of subscribers. With passionate, charismatic people like Mike, DEHH should be at or near a million by now. But I realized while watching this review, why I stopped watching years ago: Beezy and the other old guy just seem uninterested, almost to the point of dismissal. NFR didn’t like INSANO either but still graded it critically and passionately and I respect that. The level of uninterest here feels offensive and humdrum to viewers and is holding this channel back. Just imagine the three guys I mentioned doing every review. 1. It would speed up the reviews and 2. Their charisma is infectious. I’d watch this channel religiously
      Also, I don’t care if someone is a convicted murderer. If an album is part of the culture and my title is “music reviewer” I’m going to review the music and separate it from my personal feelings. This Beezy guy can review drug dealers and gang members but boycotts Kanye because he’s said crazy shit?? Make it make sense lmao
      Maybe Beezy can just be an extra for albums he likes

      @@jiketagg4251 well one of the biggest reasons why their subs have stagnated, is because they switched from their old setup. Where it 5 dudes in the room, having barber shop talk about hip hop. They switched to a generic podcast setup,, that looks like everything else out there. And the audio isn’t even right half the time. And this isn’t just my opinion either, their other subs say if all the time, but they just ignore it. And now look at them, being at the same number. Nfr is okay to me. I jus think that they give some real generic hip hop takes. Like I already know what a their opinion will be on something, before I see the video, because they just go with popular opinions on hip hop. they do a good job of promoting because they upload shorts almost everyday. Shorts are the new way of promotion
