  • Typically, curriculum evaluations measure success through learner feedback, progression data, and the alignment of the above with the evaluator’s values and beliefs. Although not without merit, these siloed surface-level practices lead to all sorts of problems. For example:
judgement of the extent to which outcomes are met, often omits discussions on the worth of the outcomes themselves,
limited diversity of voices supports bias,
under-theorised evaluations result in less effective curriculum (re)development, limiting student success.
This is where Autonomy can come in. Through shifts in autonomy codes along different pathways, autonomy tours can overcome these obstacles to integrative knowledge-building, bring together and repurpose diverse forms of knowledge, revolutionising curriculum evaluation. In this Roundtable, Jo Kukuczka shares how she used autonomy tours to design and run a co-evaluation intervention, and what were its intended and unintended consequences reaching far beyond her practice. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore the transformative power of this approach.
