⚙️ How to replace the Litter-Robot 3 circuit board:
    1. First, use your screwdriver to remove the five Phillips-head screws that hold the circuit board cover. Use your needle-nose pliers to lift up the assembly and separate the circuit board cover.
    2. Remove the three connectors on the back of the circuit.
    3. Pull off the rubber keypad that is connected to the circuit board.
    4. Take the new circuit board and attach the rubber keypad by wrapping the rubber lip around the edges of the circuit board.
    5. Push through the three protruding rubber pegs to stabilize the whole assembly
    6. Insert the three connectors to the back of the circuit board by lining up the hinges of the connector and the circuit board opening - there should be no resistance when inserting.
    7. Line up the cover with the outer circuit board and make sure the circuit buttons are protruding out of the cover openings. Tuck in the connector wires and connect the cover back into its original position. The cover should lock down and fit comfortably into its original position.
    8. Screw in the five Phillips-head screws into place to keep the cover connected.

what's the cause of changing the main board purpose?

If the main circuit board is damaged somehow (which is a rare occurrence and is generally due to water getting into the cavity) it can be replaced. Customer Service would determine if that is necessary for your Litter-Robot. If you are experiencing any issues, please be sure to contact them at support@litter-robot.com or 877-250-7729

Make sure to take a photo of the connectors before you replace. They don’t mention that they must think we all have laser vision.

Update, take it all apart, and disconnect every possible thing, clean everything with rubbing alcohol, make sure to disconnect the weight sensor in the back under the robot.
