      Greetings. I’m also new to graphics and from my understanding, once you turn a text into a path it is now a .png or .svg file which are both easily uploaded into design space after saving the paths into a file on your computer. Saving them as one or multiple svgs is optional I suppose

    So, if I understand this right, after doing this, we then get cardstock in all of these colors and individually cut each section using Cricut design space and then glue it all together?

    • @jennysandoval3933
      @jennysandoval3933 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes . DS will organize them on different mat colors so we know that each mat will be cutting a new color. Once all the cuts are done, we glue everything together. If you go to her videos she does have one on how she pieced this project together. :)

It works off of fonts you have downloaded to your computer. I get all of my fonts from CreativeFabrica. I have a membership so I get them all for free. • @CrystalsCrafties

      Sometimes the original object and the shadow get grouped together. Try selecting the shadow and then going to "Object" and "Ungroup". They should separate when you do that.

    • @CrystalsCrafties
      @CrystalsCrafties  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There could be a few different reasons for that but the easiest way to fix it is to duplicate each number and then create the offset so that you have the original just the way you want it and you're enlarging the duplicate. Continue on as many times as you want to get all the layers you need.

    • @CrystalsCrafties
      @CrystalsCrafties  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There isn't really a way to do it in design space. You could duplicate your text and make it a little bigger then attach them together but it won't line up perfectly. Hopefully one day Design Space will have the offset feature.

I connected everything else and left the bat for last and sent it to the bottom, then combined it and it worked for me. I know it is late, but hope you got it.

    I don’t find this helpful at all. You assume everyone know how to use ink space. We can’t get any of it to work, because you tell use to control one two three, but not what to hit to get one tow three. None of it makes since.

      Are you talking about the linked offset? If so, push CTRL and zero/the right parentheses ")".

      Yes that’s it. Needed to know that to make it work. Inkscape is not easy to work with.

      I couldn’t get it to work either so duplicated the first layer and then just did the path offset thing.

    can i ask why when im trying to make my wording chunky both of them go chunky and not just one

    • @CrystalsCrafties
      @CrystalsCrafties  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There could be a few reasons for this but a quick workaround would be to make a duplicate (Ctrl+D) of the word you're wanting to thicken and then thicken the duplicate word leaving your original word as is.
