I severely debloated this phone within an inch of its life and replaced most of the stock google apps with FOSS versions simply to reduce bloat. Now it runs as fast as older symbian stuff from nokia!

I ordered one of these this morning from eBay in Canada, $80, says brand new. I don't want to be the one to tell you this, but you have an addiction problem. To tech. It's clear you were going through withdrawals through the month. You didn't adjust anything else in your lifestyle, like not wearing the watch, or deleting apps; I think doing that is part of owning this phone. I'm not a huge tech person, but I'm hoping this will eliminate endless scrolling. With that screen, I think it will.
Thats exactly it. I'm ordering one of these soon to cut back on screen time. I only plan to install one game as opposed to the like ten I currently have. The smaller screen should coax me into not wanting to play as often. Plus I just like that it's an affordable flip phone that runs full Android

This sounds like a phone for a senior like me who hates texting and has no social media on my phone. I only use my phone for making and receiving calls. 😐 I wrote this response on my desktop computer, lol. I might look into this phone, thanks for the video.
You'll get 5 hours of battery unless you debloat it. After that, and putting it into battery saver, it goes to 48 hours of life per charge with minimal use
Great video! IMHO, don’t think some of the cons are really cons. For example, someone who is getting this phone probably doesn’t care about Facebook Marketplace not working optimally. The MFA issue you pointed out will for sure be a con for me.
Shit my 65 year old father uses an s22+ and is on tik tok more than my 20 year old niece!! Don’t think there’s many older folks left who want a flip phone!😅

Im on the fence between this and the jelly star from unihertz. All i need after transitioning to a healthy lifestyle is youtube for music. (I never got into spotify its too complicated for me) Any and all youtube that isnt while im doing job searches at my pc or post workout is during my daily 10-17,000 steps so its objectively helpful screentime. So this s23 ultra is extremely overkill for my needs now😂. I just need youtube and step tracking.

I only had it 'out in the field' coz my Sony xperia compact finally died last week, so yes, I'm ordering one now, only gotta do 2 things really well, connect to my BT headphones, and be there if I have an accident - oh and be smallish. Nice one.
How is you experience with the phone 3 months later? I'm kinda confuse I see a lot of people saying good things about the phone but at the same times a lot of problems too like the flip getting broken, the buttons stop working etc etc so I'm kinda curious about your experience since you have yours
I know that feeling. It’s nice to have a computer in your pocket, but eventually you grow overstimulated. Or worse, your dopamine receptors are completely dead.
You can enable the developer settings and increase the display width to fit more things to the screen but on that tiny display making things even smaller would make it pretty close to unusable.

I wanted a portable phone that goes ringy-dingy when someone wants to talk..well who'd have thought of that novel concept? I can watch FB cat videos on my laptop, and not be walking into parked cars in the process...will need it for a few 2 factor log in texts but that's about it, the rest of the bloatware is gonna get the deep six...for the price point... hard to beat.
This phone drove me crazy, and I returned it within a week. If you've got even slightly chubby fingers, it's impossible to type on. Using a stylus didn't help, either. I was very hopeful for it because it's otherwise a great dumb phone without the Android features.

i feel like if they just made the screen bigger then this phone would be solid, also i recommend Old t9 from the play store to give it proper t9.
