I switched back to a standard smartphone recently because after more than 6 months I just had to go back to a normal smartphone due to work and projects. But it's an intriguing little phone.
While this phone with its small screen is not going to replace the benefits of the larger screens on my Pixel 6 phone and larger tablet, I have been able to read emails and even books comfortably on it. And also access apps I use when I need to, which is nice (albeit slower). Typing with the small Gboard is far from smooth but helped by the word suggestions that appear. Not as easy as with the Pixel 6, so I dictate whenever I can, which works well. An issue I have is that the caller on the other end sometimes says they hear an echo of their voice. Especially when I use the speaker. Is that something that happens with you?
No issues there with the echo but I 8/10 times i can't use the speaker feature. Also if I press it against my shoulder when in a phone call, I lose signal and the other guy can't hear me well. Other than that, I randomly hear a sound just like windows notification sound when in a phone call. I find this last thing to be very strange.
To funny ...." It wiggles a bit and makes a sound when I flip it" u thew it and flung it 10 times in the first 10min of video, if u treat ur stuff like crap it's gonna loosen up😏
Probably because they couldn't really target a certain segment of potential buyers within the US. I don't know really, I'm just guessing that it didn't pan out as expected and they weren't willing to venture in or simply didn't see other possible markets for this phone, outside of the US. And the phone is really mediocre, in a sense that if you were to spend 200 dollars on a phone you could get some of the cheaper smartphones out there that perform better overall, except the rugged part. Still, it is a remarkable phone to say the least... I personally dig it.
@@lsanchez1822 Yes indeed. We are required to use smartphones and I know that sooner or later I will have to go back to a standard smartphone to keep my productivity at a decent level. However, I'm happy to say that, besides the work-related stuff, I don't really need a smartphone. I've actually had my social media accounts deleted a very long time ago and I don't miss them at all. Life's good for me even without them, I meet lots of people, have a lot of friends and I simply enjoy life the way I choose to... Now I'm not against social media apps, but I don't like the way they influence most people's lives. I just don't like where all this is headed towards, but maybe its just me. 😆
My reason was to point out the obvious. And that is the fact that this phone is a rugged phone and it'll handle a few drops with no problem. I consider the ruggedness to be its most important feature, and hence this video. I'm sorry if it annoyed you, but that's the reason in a nutshell.
Lazy review….like some drunk guy that’s broke and extremely unsatisfied with his recent phone purchases….”damn all I wanted was an iPhone for my birthday and ended up with this…burp”😂
Hey there. I guess if you had read the video description, you would have known the fact that this review wasn't meant to be a "sober" one. That being said, I pointed out exactly what people need to know about this phone, apart from what you can obviously find on its datasheet. Now, in respect to how I did it, ok, I appreciate the feedback and it could have been done in a more professional way. Probably in the future I will refrain from doing silly material though I can't make any promises. Now I could have filtered this comment out, but out of curiosity and fairness, I chose to keep what youtube considers negative comment filtering disabled to see the entire picture of how people view what I do. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate any piece of advice and/or feedback. And I encourage people to say what they have in mind. And finally in regards to the more personal aspect of what you wrote there, I'd like to assure you that my financial status (not that it should be anyone's business) is pretty ok, I don't need an Iphone, and I wasn't under the influence while recording this. I bought the phone just out of curiosity and if I didn't manage to make you understand the real motif of the clip, then it's my bad. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback and good luck out there!😃
Bacause of your reply to @qmachado6555's comment, you earned my respect and my sub, Please don't change this kid of attitude because not a lot of people are as level-headed and objective.
@tiberiumaxim what's really amazing is the s62 isn't more popular. It has thermal imaging.
@@tiberiumaxim I think that it is also because smartphones are too addictive. Not too many want to give up their expensive new phones for this.
@@tiberiumaxim Once I get a CAT and am ready to go back to a smartphone I will probably get the the Samsung Z Flip model.
unbroken.
Now a days budget phone run android 13 but an old kind'o flip fone nowadays runs android 11 huh?
Android 11 was released in september 2020. Android 12 was released in october 2021. This phone came out in september 2021.
the way you keep throwing it for no reason annoys me
My reason was to point out the obvious. And that is the fact that this phone is a rugged phone and it'll handle a few drops with no problem. I consider the ruggedness to be its most important feature, and hence this video. I'm sorry if it annoyed you, but that's the reason in a nutshell.
This person can never be a surgeon. Hahahaha.
❤😊
Paid $50 for mine
Kudos, @@tiberiumaxim. I am planning to buy myself a CAT S22 flip for a much simpler and minimalistic life. Thanks for making this video. Keep it up! Cheers from the Philippines. 🤝
He actually says some really detailed out of experience things. like when he did that the other person won’t hear u if u put ur phone ur shoulder and talk… etc, some things that u won’t find in the the statistical reviews.. this is just how’s ur friend’s realistic review will be like, which is better and real imo, statics are everywhere.
I take it you don't work in a china shop!
So big and still no headphone jack! Why are they so evil? And then you put one of these always faulty USB dongle adapters on the side and you cannot pocket it anymore because it sticks out the wrong way. Absolutely unusable. Garbage.
You sound like a person who is afraid of the Bluetooth radiation.
@@porvoonosho I eat microwaved food and I don't care lmao. I have Bluetooth headphones, but they suck in comparison. I prefer to not be constantly switching between different Bluetooth devices. Having to think about charging them is annoying too. CAT could've done it, but they did not want to do it and that's unfortunate. I won't buy it.
Does anyone know if this phone can be used on Cricket Wireless network which is a GSM network? Can’t seem to find any clear answers online
but this phone is just not for you.;) it is really for someone who wants to be more digital minimalist. for me it is great and it s way much more time for really useful things: rrading book, relax, sport, getting rest after computer. i sleep better;)) as i m not in phone hours;)
@@NoMoJunk Yep! they are rather easy to unlock through settings, and they will work on cricket :)
The ignorant childish banging stuff around was when I stopped watching.
