Very nice molds. If I may offer a piece of advice I would run single flute o cut bits. I have used the exact same 2 flute endmill from speetool and have found it sucks for any operation that has a plunging operation i.e. 2d contour or 2d pockets. The single flute will give you way less chatter and way cleaner cuts because it can evacuate chips much faster than a 2 or 3 flute endmill. I use the SpeTool O Flute UpCut 1/8" X 1/2" Carbide End Mill. On my carveking from millwright I run 40in/s with .022in DOC. My gantry is relatively stable but the plastic spindle clamp would seem to introduce a lower frequency and therefore I would recommend starting with a .07in DOC and 30in/s withe the single flute.

Hi, I'm from Brazil. Could you make a pellet mold for an air rifle?

Stock spindle, 20k rpm upgrade, or router? Ive only done wood on mine, looking to make molds for my buster beagle mk3 now, any tips? Also, thanks for including your feeds and speeds...i feel like no one ever does!

I've never gotten anxiety as bad as I have with this video 😬 Great job though! The speed up noises are hard to take.

Nice video, you seem to be getting a lot of chatter , it looks like your tool holder is very tiny, but it might be helfup to choke up on your tools as you are not going very deep. you may also bennefit from some sort of coolant system , even if its just using a soda bottle with some mineral oil or water with a hole cut in the cap . what type of aluminum are you milling here?

Thanks. I just started making videos. I haven’t done it before. Using my iPhone for now. I have a lot of people asking how I do what I do so I thought I’d make some simple videos.

Awesome video! What bits did you use?

I basically only buy SPETOOL bits. I get them on Amazon. And I choose the ones that are specifically for cutting aluminum only. They’re usually a single or two flute cutter. I prefer the two flute myself.

I basically only run SpeTool bits. The ones that are made for aluminum only. It’s amazing how many miles you get out of them. I’ve been running my 1/32 bit over 20 hours now. And I from my 1/4 bit for several months. It must have faced at least 100 in.². and it’s still going strong.

I have had the same machine, I would suggest you use a 1 flute bit for aluminum instead for the rough cutting. Those are so much better for cutting than a 2 or 3 flute cutter for a machine that need these spindle speeds.
