- Taken from my LP hence the crackles here and there. I don't own the copyright. If you like it please go and buy it from somewhere. I love this song. It is similar to Farewell to Paris from Paris Impressions and Earl's Tune which I found here. Garner is my favourite Jazz pianist. I have quite few LPs of his and if I find any more tunes that aren't on TH-cam I'll upload them.
No-one ever played a ballad on the piano more beautifully than Errol Garner.

Hey, thanks for sharing this gem, and Erroll is my favorite musician period, not just my favorite pianist or composer. He is the beginning to the end, top to bottom for me and the most spontaneous and swinging cat that ever played an instrument. My biggest regret is that I never got to meet him and thank him for his music, which is like medicine for me on a daily basis. What a genius!
Wonderfull pure garnerian ballade. Starts peacedukly and then speed up progressively. Fabulous. Also called blue ecstasy

Oh this is "Classic Garner". How can one not appreciate his changing rhythm patterns and his innovation with the melody? I have this recording and can not stop listening to it. Thank you for sharing this gem of a performance. I wish that I could give this a 1000 thumbs up. God Bless your soul Erroll.
Thank you. This just HAD to be on TH-cam and I like hearing how he developed the melody from Farewell to Paris, to Earl's Tune and finally to this. For me, this is garner at his best. Another stand out track is When a Gypsy Makes His Violin Cry which is on the Gemini album.

Earl Garner was a talent you never see again . The man had abilities that no one else will have . He came up at a time when the only way you could get this good is he is just a practice . Something no one is willing to pay today that's what we have crap they call music .

Erroll was the greatest. He is incomparable and so immediately accessible by just about anybody. Those who listen and love great music adore Erroll. He puts a smile on the music like no one else ever could.

Not even Tatum can play like Errol. Personal preference. Diff in style, one being jazz, the other being, as yet, apparently, undefined piano playing pyrotechnically balanced and dietary supplemented by odd behaviour....
