The idea around this unit is not bad, but when you look on the listings and see that if you went the route of console only you would be paying £45. If you add in the cost of a relatively cheap monitor, PSU and a decent controller that will total around the £150 - £175 . With this unit being listed for £262 you need to then wonder whether the arcade control scheme and the wooden shell is worth the extra £100 to you (especially since you can get an arcade style joystick with a similar layout to this for under £24 including delivery).
I'm thinking this will be what I get for my son for his birthday. He'll only be 7, but he lives retro fighting games(seriously, his toys even play martial arts, it's a lifestyle for him) I can beat him at street fighter 2 turbo, but that's it these days. Even games I grew up with like bloody roar and tekken he smokes me.
A real arcade fighting machine would blow his mind.
Wicked Gamer I'm gonna need you to take a trip to China and tell them we need a game board that can handle PSP, Game cube, Sega cd, N64, Sega dreamcast , and the naughty store working flawlessly and we need it by the end of 2021.

I love the pandora box products I just wish they would give us a board that would be powerful enough to sort out the psp and n64 and dreamcast and is also capable of doing ps2 also regular updates to the naughty store

Looks like a great machine here. However, the Pandora systems seem to be a mish mash of hit and miss arcade games thrown together. Some games work very well, others, not so good. When are we going to see a miniature dedicated proper arcade machine based on their bigger arcade counterparts? That's what I want to see.

Yeah 4:3 with the monitor is awesome ... pandory tool did fix this problem with the software update.
I bought similar. LCD is prone to rotting if not used for a lonf time.

You can use Pandory tool or internal add games system.

what do you prefer over pandoras box?
I really like it, at least the concept, its just sad that psp, n64 and dc dont play smooth considering even a toaster can run those now a days, specially ppsspp stand alone emulator, its just so well optimized even my amazon stick can run the least demanding games, got to double check but even tekken, I am sure if you can tweak the settings that chip should be able to handle it like adding 1 frame skip and setting scaling to 1xpsp. Mvsc2 glitching is probably just a resolution setting, in any device I've tried it if you dont use 640x480 it gets all messed up.
I do know a trick to get in the PPSSPP menu ... so it's possible to tweak some games 👹

You can connect it with the USB connection on the back. Only it's limited support... you can use a xbox 360 xontroller 😁

Same old Pandora's Box in a new case. Cheaper buy a used Dell i7 2600k add a used GTX 1050 put it inside a arcade cabinet

@@Blafily Configure all the software is easy. You know you can put Android 9 or higher on a PC. I'm happy using Windows 10
@@Blafily as with most things, the choice is yours. You can buy into frontends on Windows, go with free, standalone emulators or you can simply use a Linux distribution altogether. You will almost always run into some games that need a bit of fine tuning to run good enough, but it is the same with any "pre-configured" box.
I don't understand why they don't use Pi4s, and still use those outdated pandora boards...

That screen is really bad, are you sure it's IPS? You tilted the camera just slightly away from it and it went entirely black. That's a TN panel. The sheer darkness (seriously, even in a good angle, that screen emits almost no light) gives it away too. It's also hilariously underpowered for over 300$. What is a 300$ device doing struggling with the Dreamcast or PSP? Literally no excuse. I have no idea why they didn't put an S922x in there. Those are found in

Kind of getting sick of these boxes they add nothing themselves to the emulation scene and just upload a load of crap onto the systems that are basicly unplayable. Most people know games like n64 dreamcast and a few other systems are not playable with a single joystick. Even ps1 games need a joypad to have an authentic feel. They need to help the emulation scene. Help make other arcade games such as die hard arcade and chd files playable.
And yes I know you can add a control pad to many of these but that defeats the purpose of it being like an arcade.

Sorry, but this seems like a waste of my money. Why would I want to buy a tabletop arcade to play old video game systems? Why? I rather play arcade games from the 80 to present. Now that’s worth your money DONT you think? I can name a lot. NARC, ROBOCOP, Rambo, Alien, ALIENS, Aliens 3, Alien Syndrome, TMNT arcade game, TMNT 2 and TMNT 3 Turtles in time, MK 1-3 arcade game. Terminator 2 the arcade, Revolution X, Ghostbusters, IKARI Warriors 1-3, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, KOF etc. XMEN, XMEN vs SF, Marvel Superheroes, Marvel vs SF etc. List goes on and on!
Back in the day we had Nintendo 8bit and Super Nintendo 16 bit to come not that close but the idea of gameplay because the home console graphics and sounds are nowhere near Arcade perfect.
For a "Next Gen" it runs pretty crappy...PASS.
