    As much as I didn't like Emery. He clearly stated he didn't want Pepe. He wanted Zaha. The board went over him and got Pepe, because of dodgy Raul. Please correct that.

      No one talks enough about that Rat ( Raul ) thank god we got him out the club pretty sharpish! Pretty sure it was his work that paved the way for how Barcelona currently are now! Yeah Emery is a great manager but was never suited to Arsenal, he doesn't play the style Arsenal are now known for imo! Arteta just feels right, especially with what hes doing all around the club having previous players involved!

You won't find it, Arsenal held a private investigation, not a public one and more specifically into the Pepe deal. Didn't he plead guilty to tax fraud at Barcelona also? Some people need to watch this. There are so many fans who have so very quickly forgotten the context around all the work that Arteta and Edu needed to do to get us to where we are now.
    I’m convinced Arsenal wouldn’t be in the strongest position we’ve been in for over 20 years if the club listened to that clueless ‘Arteta out’ lot.

    • @filipnielsen1000
      @filipnielsen1000 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I think clueless is harsh. Arsenal is probably the only club in the Prem that has the patience to allow a manager more time after missing out on European football for the first time in 25 years

    • @snaggiz
      @snaggiz 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      @@filipnielsen1000 It’s not harsh. It’s accurate. I know what all those fans were saying at the time and it was just gibberish not grounded in any achievable reality. Wanting elite managers and 3-4 signings to bring us to the top only to not understand that we weren’t there and that that would’ve been a bandaid solution to a problem that needed serious surgery. People want instant gratification, not understanding that building something meaningful and lasting will take TIME. You don’t just need a plan, you need real conviction in said plan when the unreasonable criticism comes your way, because at this club, it’ll come and it’ll crash like a fucking tsunami.
      Artetas story should be a lesson to all of the clubs in the PL. If you know what you’re doing, if you have a plan, you have to dare to commit to it. I stood by Arteta because I know what typical rebuilds look like, and I could see he was trying to do exactly what teams in the NBA and NHL do when they rebuild. It had to all completely change and it would always take time to do. Ironically, the Arteta out people would always say that those who stood by him are delusional or too emotional about it because he’s a former club captain, but in reality, they were the overly emotional ones, not able to see the big picture.

      Xhaxa was always a attacking midfielder and a great one at that. In that Switzerland France game where France lost he almost single-handedly created chances over chances even outshining Pogba to get Switzerland into the penalty shootout. He was always a great attacking midfielder and was deployed that way it was just insane missmanagement to put him in defensively…

    This was a great video. I must admit it was hard to see what was happening under Emery it was so inconsistent with many different formations he liked his 442 diamond even putting Torriera as a 10 and Ozil as a 6....... So weird because we would have amazing games like when we beat Spurs 4-2 or Valencia Auba scored than hattrick and we won with 4 and Auba and Laca had a great relationship but then really poor games too, Definitely hard to see what was happening. Under Arteta when he took over early 2020 we were definitely better more compact and doing better but covid happened had covid not happened I think the run would of continued.
    Anyway 22/23 it was easy to see what we were doing. 5 up front in attacking situations constantly stretching the width worked so well and Zini and Partey controlling the midfield but our biggest downfall along with the Saliba injury and Partey and Saka dropping off was our squad depth and plan B. We had no inverted rb, so when zini went out who was inverted lb it hurt us thus Partey dropped into rb when attacking. It was patching over wounds. Under low block teams we struggled. And when Man City started with their 3 at back and Stones in midfield they stepped up 3 gears and that was it.
    For 23/24 we need a plan b and plan c, like Pep the great manager does. We need squad depth. Whether we come second again because City are the best team in Europe that is ok what else can you do? We are years behind them but we are building and improving maybe in 2/3 years time we will be the team to beat. But if we can't win the EPL this coming season at least get far in Champions League and win 1 or 2 or 3 trophies or cups.

    In arsenal, there’s 2 types of fans base. First , the fans who trust the process. Supporting the team, the players and the gaffer. Win , lose , or draw we gonna stand behind the team no matter what happen. Humble and a simple fans who loves the team. Normally the fans who supports the team wayyyy back. These fans are 75% of our fans base.
    Second, the toxic fans who loves the team when winning only. When the team lost, they will find scapegoat and mock the players. These fans can love a player today, and hate them the next day. Normally these are the fans who wants wenger out so badly and they don’t care what wenger had done for the team for many years. They forgot everything. They’re the Arteta out fans as well. Normally these fans don’t know football that much, they don’t care about the process neither the tactical approach. They just want to win. These fans are the cancer of AFTV that been spread and brainwashed. These fans are 15% of our fans base

    I’m really ecxited about this season. Rice, Havertz and Timber are all signings with a plan in mind. Rice is a huge improvement on what we currently have, if Havertz can be used correctly he is absolutely a weapon, and Timber gives our defence an incredible amount of versatility depth. One more midfielder, someone who can run, arrive late in the box, and also do his defensive parts, and we are clear of everyone but City.

    With the signings of late, i reckon we are in a position to push for the title. We can go as far as winning the CL However squad rotation is of paramount importance. Our players must understand that, not withstanding the fact we play to our strengths and weaknesses. It is impossible for player's to perform at 100% week in and weekend out. Resting players at crucial time's is vital. We overplayed Saka and look what happened at the end of the season. City have a plan and it ❤❤❤works well with the previous minutes they are given. We want to be crowned premier league champions. We wont settle for less, we have waited for to long. Love Arsenal

    I backed Arteta from the start, I’ve been a supporter of Arsenal Football Club throughout the entire reign of Arsene Wenger, I am used to a long-term manager with passion for the club, not a rotation of managers every couple of seasons like most clubs these days. Arteta reminded me of Arsene’s appointed. A relatively unproven managerial prospect with no high profile success to fall back on. Everyone back then questioned his appointment, “Arsene Who?”, was the headline. Within a few seasons of rebuilding and acquiring the right players, everyone knew who Arsene Wenger was, and everyone envied Arsenal’s success. Arteta has proven my instincts correct, and I hope he remains our manager for years to come.
    For the reference of any future replies, it is 29th April 2024, Arsenal are in the title race with Manchester City and have just beaten Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Away. The title is anyone’s guess at the moment although Manchester City have a game in hand over Arsenal, who dropped points against Aston Villa.

Getting back to back mid table finishes sucks but every modern team sacks their manager far too early. Not Arsenal. Now, they are reaping the rewards because Arteta has his squad in every position and it is working.

    emery's squad was not suited to his system and the arsenal board didn't always give him the players he needed as though they didn't convinced by him in the first place, meanwhile, its different on arteta's case, the whole board believe in him even though his first two seasons was mid, and gave him the player profile that he wanted, im not saying emery is as good as arteta but i think he came in a wrong time, he came when arsenal were in transition, where everything seemed to fall apart, deadwood players, wrong player profile etc.
    My point is, Arsenal board learned their lesson and finally give the manager the support that he needs, and i believe arteta will take arsenal to the next level

      Emery is not a bad manager. He has a more structured and disciplined approach but the EPL is too fast and defensive structure breaks down too quickly to implement all of his tactics.

      Emery tried to repair a ship that was already sinking. Arteta realized that the ship was beyond repair, so he took whatever could be salvaged from the wreck and then began building a completely new ship.

    Now rival fans must observe this fact at that time the kroenkes needed a man who had a vision and that where edu and arteta comes in to the rebuild. ARTETA and Edu needed to get rid of dead wood and also free up money we probably didn't have cause covid decimated all revenue, then investing into youth players such as saka esr martinelli and buying players he needed and not running after big names that won't feel the plan, I feel we one striker away from winning the league and uefa he has his plan I wanna see him finish this

    Well a huge season is coming up for Arsenal. Arteta has done very well but he has no trophies with his team (the team that won the FA Cup was not Arteta's team it was Emery's team). So Arsenal really needs to win trophies in the upcoming season. I am not saying that Arsenal will win the League or CL, but atleast they can win the domestic cups. Also I think if Arsenal gets a moderate to tough group in CL, they may go to the Europa League and if that happens then Europa league has to be the priority regardless of Arsenal's league position because if Arsenal can't compete against other Europa league teams then they have no chance of competing in CL.

    As an Arsenal fan we have still crumbled the last two seasons under pressure which Arteta has to take some of the responsibility for. If he can sort out the extreme dips in quality of performance we will hopefully start winning trophies!

    • @tidan888
      @tidan888 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We didn't crumble under pressure. We had injuries that meant backup players no where near the 1st team quality came in. Season before last it was Tavares, Holding, Cedric, and whoever was playing DM (no where near top 4 quality). Last season it was only really Holding again (margins were much tighter with City, though). I think Arteta also made tactical errors in this title challenge as well like bringing in Jesus straight away, who wasn't playing well, and not starting Tierney, a better defender than Zinchenko when we knew Holding was weakening our CBs. Possibly even not rotating Saka enough overall came back to bite us.

    if you dont win any trophy with the position youre in, you should begin to question whats actually happening Arsenal fans. Hear me out:
    Now that youve been in a title race, and now that you're buying the caliber of signings you're signing, especially Rice for 100M, you should be demanding trophies. You dont have to be part of the "15%" that go from hating one player one day to loving them the next like one commenter has pointed out, but a trophy should be a must for you. This is coming from a city fan btw. If you dont see a trophy next season, doesnt even matter if its the EFL Cup for crying out loud, its a must. You're in too strong of a position to not be winning trophies. You're also in too strong of a position to be bottling an 8 point lead at christmas and finishing the league 5 points behind league leaders. If I recall correctly, no team has been 8 points clear by christmas in quite some time. So this is now 2 seasons running where your team has crumbled when it actually matters.
    Arteta doesnt need to be the manager that wins the PL or the UCL, he could be a stepping stone like Pellegrini was for us before we got pep.

    Anyone who believes this tripe really has not got a clue about football, but that pretty common even with today's experts who fail to mentions these two massive reasons why Arsenal were able to even finished with this relatively speaking, average team. 1) ARsenal had a entire first half of this season head start on every other rival who top performing players on every team slumped, either due to the fatigue from the inclusion of the recent National league tournament in addition to another a very tough premier league season. You can go through every player on every team in that first half of last season nd routinely form Salah to Mahrez, Song and Kane to Rashford and Fernades, Kane , Debruyne, Alex Arnold, Van Dijk you name any top players and they all slumped at the same time. 2) Arsenal had a very favourable fixture schedule on top of that which should have put them on top or near the top even IF all those players were on from. None of this had to do with Arteta's so called genius, in fact when you look at how much money he has spent and how he spent it it should only make sense to anyone with half a brain that this manager does not have a clue and is on borrowed time. he's spent almost 700 mil half the players are out open loan. Because they couldn't cut it in our league and 45% of those able to keep place in the team are our rivals rejects. I think it is pretty safe to say when you throw that much money at a transfer window and that much failure Tomiyasu was a lucky buy. The only reason he brought Saliba back was because he was defensive player of the season in France after two season out on loan after NOT even playing for ARsenal. Yet we kept the likes of Vieira, Tavern, Lakonga etc who he thought were good enough to keep. The man doesn't have a clue. Half a season head start on his rivals ,favourable fixtures and NO EUROPEAN football distraction as well and he still couldn't win the league. It really boggles the mind how dense ARsenal football fan base is. Not one of the current squad would make the invincible team, not one of them. And that should be an indication to any Arsenal football fan of who far the standards at the club has dropped. We Arte a dumpster digging team, rummaging through the trash bins of our rivals and it is embarrassing! We'll be mid table next season I am sure of it, I'd like to be excited by the boost of energy the new signings should bring, but they got a lot of weight to carry, because we just drew with a second tier German team where Vieira and Partey still, looked trash ffs. Rice is a definite upgrade but at that price................smh!
